Gynecologist/Obstetrician
Answered on 26th Sept '24
It’s common for periods to be slightly irregular at times due to stress, changes in routine, or hormonal imbalances. If your period is more than a week late, or if you experience other symptoms, it's best to visit a gynecologist to rule out any underlying issues. They can provide the right guidance and treatment if needed.

My last period comes on the 21st of every month and ends on the 26th . I got nutted in 27th after period .when do you think I ovulate
Female | 22
Ovulation can cause small cramps or changes in vaginal discharge. To confirm ovulation, women can track their basal body temperature or use an ovulation test kit. These simple methods help predict the most fertile days.

I am 21 years old. Last month i had my periods on 15 may. And i had unprotected sex on 3rd June and took unwanted 72 on 4th. Every time i take this medicine i use to get my periods early but this time i haven't got yet and today is 15th june
Female | 21
When you use an emergency contraceptive such as Unwanted 72, you may disrupt your menstrual cycle and delay it in rare cases. It is perfectly normal to undergo a delay in your period but that may occur due to several reasons such as stress, hormonal changes, and the pill itself. Just wait a little and your period should appear. If you are concerned or notice any unusual symptoms, it would be the best option to consult a gynecologist.

For the past 3-4 days I've been dealing with a sharp pain in my lower belly that has been persistent and uncomfortable. in addition to this,I've noticed a sharp, almost burning pain in my vaginal lips. this discomfort has been accompanied by a strong, chemical like odor in my vaginally area, which is unusual for me.Furthermore I've been experiencing abnormal bleeding. initially, the discharge was bright red , but it has since transitioned to a brown color. What's particularly concerning is that my menstrual cycle, which typically last for 5 to 6 days , has been prolonged for approximately 3 weeks now.

These signs might mean you have an infection. The odd smell and strange bleeding are also worrying signs. You should see a gynecologist soon. They can help you feel better.

How long does it take to get pregnant after sex
Female | 19
Sperm usually travel from the vagina to the fallopian tubes within 6 and 10 hours after having intercourse. Fertilization happens in these tubes. If there is an egg in the fallopian tube, something which may happen within minutes of the sperm's arrival, fertilization can occur. A visit to the gynecologist should not be avoided in case of any fertility issues.

It's understandable to seek guidance after trying for nine months to conceive. Factors like sperm count, motility, and morphology can influence fertility. I had ultrasound and blood tests performed by a gynecologist and a urologist, the results of the tests show no abnormalities. At this age I shouldn't have any problems with it. It worries me that I won't get any pleasure from having sex. What could be the cause? Is there any chance and way to get back feeling in clitoris and bladder? Please help.

Please tell me wether is it fine to use Oralcon-F ( Levonorgestrel and ethinyl estradiol contraceptive pills ) starting from middle of my cycle and using Levonorgestrel 1.5mg morning pill for 3 days at the same time? To prevent pregnancy ? Because my husband would visit me for a short vacation. I suspect wether Oralcon- F would not completely protect as l am starting at the middle of cycle. Until it get 7 days can I also use morning pills with it for 3 days to protect from pregnancy?
Female | 29
Starting Oralcon-F in the middle of your cycle may not provide immediate contraceptive coverage, as it typically requires seven days for full effectiveness. Using Levonorgestrel 1.5mg for three days as an emergency contraceptive may offer additional protection, but it’s essential to consider that these pills serve different purposes. For optimal safety and assurance, I recommend discussing your plan with a gynecologist. This way, you can receive personalized advice tailored to your situation, ensuring you feel confident about your contraceptive choices.

I have a irregular periods issue And my vagina is smelly I don't understand why happening with me
Female | 20
Irregular periods might be due to various reasons such as hormonal changes, stress, or lifestyle factors. A strong smell might be an infection, a lack of equilibrium, or poor personal hygiene. Thus, personal hygiene and the choice of air-permeable clothing can be used to moderate such discomforts. In case a person is on a weight loss diet, it’s recommended to ask for help from a licensed dietitian before starting the diet. Still, it's crucial to get professional treatment if the problem persists or becomes worse, as only a gynecologist can give you an accurate diagnosis and suggest proper treatment options. You can talk to your pharmacist for an overall overview of your medications.

Hi.. I wanted to enquire I had unprotected sex about 7 to 6 days before my periods but I took p2 5 hours after unprotected sex is there possibility of being pregnant
Female | 20
Unprotected sex near a menstrual cycle decreases the chances of pregnancy. The emergency contraceptive pill (P2), taken within 5 hours, reduces the risk, but it's not foolproof. Signs like fatigue, nausea, and a missed period could indicate pregnancy. If concerned, take a pregnancy test after your expected period date for reassurance.

You should make a gynecologist appointment for diagnosis and treatment. The symptoms you experienced could well be a sign of pregnancy or infection. It is very important not to self-diagnose or self-medicate because it can result in the occurrence of more complex problems.

Everyone experiences irregular periods and weight gain sometimes. Periods may arrive early or late, or skip months. This irregularity often results from hormones, stress, or health conditions. Weight fluctuates too due to hormones, food choices, and lack of exercise. Living healthily through balanced eating and staying active helps regulate periods and maintain weight. However, if issues continue long-term, consult a gynecologist. They'll provide guidance to resolve persistent problems.
