How to Deal with Leg Cramps Due to Dehydration?

Leg me water ho gaya hai

Answered on 23rd May '24

Edema can be caused by various conditions including congestive heart failure kidney problems, or a blood clot. Visiting the doctor, ideally, a cardiologist or nephrologist, to find out what the main cause of the problem is and receive the right treatment, is essential.

I smoked a cigarette recently today that I had burnt the cigarette butt to where it noticeably shrunk/burnt the filter to the point where you could see the inner part of the filter. I'd say probably less than half way through the entire filter, and smoked some, but not much of the cigarette. Should I be concerned for bad symptoms or long term that might come up later or soon?

Male | 21

Smoking is a known risk factor for various serious health conditions. Smoking any part of a cigarette, especially one that has been altered or partially burned, can be harmful to your health.

I am a 14 year old female who has been dealing with some itchiness and excess ear wax for a few months. But it just became muffled.

Female | 14

Your symptoms have a possibility of either a ear infection or wax blockage due to the excessive ear wax. You should see an ENT to get a proper diagnosis and treatment plan.

I am 20 years old girl, from few days I am suffering from headache, dizziness and fatigue. I fainted down few days ago, I took medicines from local Dr . before that I suffered from depression , now i have concurred over depression almost but I still have anexity issues, I also fell less energetic and don't want to do anything, what should I do?

Female | 20

The symptoms that you are experiencing can be because of many reasons so I advise you to visit a doctor in person for understanding the exact cause. These symptoms can also be the result of your anxiety. So, it would  be of great help if  you consulted a counsellor for managing your anxiety. You can also try meditation and breathing exercises to lower your stress and anxiety.

Yes, one should get the HPV vaccine. It prevents different strains of the virus which causes genital warts and cancers. It is best to consult a gynaecologist or your primary care physician to discuss this and get vaccinated.

I am an 18 year old female. I have been preparing for competitive exams for almost a year now. everything was going okay I used to feel a little sleepy while studying in the morning after 6 to 7 hours of sleep. But recently I have been sleeping 6 to 7 hours at night but feeling too tired all day especially when I am studying, I have my exam next month. I am unable to study I am trying so hard but I still feel so sleepy all day. I also missed my periods last month.

Female | 18

You are experiencing a lot of stress from exams. Feeling drained and missing periods could indicate stress-induced hormone imbalance. When stressed, your hormones get disrupted, causing fatigue and irregular menstruation. To manage this, rest adequately, maintain a nutritious diet, and consider counseling for stress-coping techniques. Remember to take study breaks periodically and prioritize self-care practices.

I have lost weight suddenly periods are regular 28 days got acne along with weight loss and now I eat more than double of my diet still I can't gain any weight

Female | 22

Inability to gain weight even after increased caloric intake may be metabolic diseases. An endocrinologist should be consulted in order to assess your levels of hormones and decide on any additional procedures if needed.

Why my fasting blood suger level is increase when i not to eat suger added foods.

Male | 63

When you ingest the sugar-added foods, it may bring your blood sugar levels to a higher level. On the other hand, if your fasting blood sugar levels are still high even when you do not include sugar-added food, it is a symptom of some medical complications. My suggestion is that you go to an internist, who is focused on hormonal evaluations and diabetes diagnosis and treatment.

Mucus comes out form my nose too much ..Sometime its yellow sometime white

Female | 21

Excessive mucus from the nose is mostly due to allergies, sinusitis, or viral infections. Yu can try saline nasal sprays or rinses to clear the excess mucus from your nose. Drink lot of water and use a humidifier or steam treatment may also help loosen and thin the mucus making it easier to expel.

My 5 year old son swallowed a coin. The x-ray shows that the position of the coin is not complicated and the child is not showing any kind of discomfort. within how many hours will the coin normally pass through the system? what should I do next?

Male | 5

If your child shows no signs of distress and the swallowed coin is in the simple position it should move on its own within 24-48 hours. But you should closely watch your symptoms, stools, and bowel movements during this period. You needs to refer to the pediatric gastroenterologist for further investigations and treatment.

Lost month 20 I have fever 4 days later I went hospital and his said you have typhoid and gavme monocef iv injections from that day to this day daily I feel feverish and chills with normal body temperature. I went went hospital 3 times again and my crp, cbp, thyroid abdomen scan, x ray, suger levels all are fine and his said just take multivitamin tablets and take rest but it's been more then 20 days but still feel hot and chills every day please help me with this. My malaria test also Negative

Male | 24

From the way it seems, fever and chills have been bothering you for quite some time. I am glad to hear that the tests have come back normal and the team has ruled out the serious stuff. To recover from an infection like typhoid takes sometimes thus some symptoms may remain. Make sure you are resting well, staying hydrated, and taking your vitamins. If your symptoms do not go away, do not hesitate to visit your doctor.

I had trouble swallowing 2 weeks back, and 3 days ago I went to Jaipur. Now am having fever continuously from 3 days when I came back to Delhi. I wonder if it's due to heat wave or some std. I have a small rash on my left leg and about 102 degree fever.

Female | 22

You may have acquired an infection while away. A temperature and eruption on your leg may indicate an infection rather than a heat rash or an STD. The trouble with swallowing earlier could have been your system’s way of trying to fight off this infection. You must go to the doctor as soon as possible and let them examine you so they can give you the right treatment for it and make you feel better.

Hi there actually my child has chewed 20 multivitamins gummies mistakenly is there any concern

Male | 3

Yes, it is a matter of concern. Because some of these vitamins and minerals contained in the gummies might have negative effects in higher doses, for instance iron. Take your child to a pediatrician as soon as possible, they will do the initial evaluation and give the appropriate treatments.

My 10 year old son, has a very chesty cough. He had this cough 4 weeks ago it subsided and now he has woken up today with it. Dry cough no tightness in the chest, a bit breathless. He suffers with Chronic Migraines he takes Sumatriptan upon bad migraines. He also suffers with asthma

Male | 10

You should first take your son to a paediatrician whose diagnosis might be more accurate and efficient because your son also suffers from asthma. Besides, the pediatrician can refer a pulmonologist in you have to. The patient shouldn't take drugs on his own, but should only use medications prescribed by a doctor.

My friend ate 10 amlokind at a time what should I do ?

Female | 17

Consuming 10 Amlokind tablets at once is extremely concerning. You might experience worrisome symptoms like dangerously low blood pressure, dizziness, and a sluggish heart rate. This reaction could occur due to the medication excessively dilating blood vessels. Promptly contacting a poison control center or emergency services is vital.

I'm 33 years old, 5'2, 195lb, I take levothyroxine. I have a shooting pain left side going down left leg for a week and it continues. It hurts lying down, rolling over, sitting up, standing up, walking. It feels better when I sit, the longer I sit the better it gets. Not walking on my injure side helps. I have to sleep in a chair because lying down is uncomfortable. Can you help me?

Female | 33

It could be related to issues like sciatica or a pinched nerve. It's crucial to consult a professional doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment. Sciatica, a herniated disc, or spinal stenosis might be causing the discomfort. Consider seeking medical attention for evaluation, managing pain with ice/heat and pain relievers, maintaining good posture, and avoiding activities that worsen the pain.
