Vitiligo is a condition in which white patches of the skin are formed. The cause is the absence of a substance called melanin, which gives skin its color. It's not, however, painful or contagious. At times, vitiligo could start from a small spot and then over time cover a large area. It is advisable to go to a dermatologist for correct diagnosis and treatment options.

I have been sick for the pass 9 years after missing five days of meal only warm water i have been going to the doctors and I have not been getting any help or isn't getting better I have to drink hot water everyday right through out the day to stay alive I tried hospital, clinics and other doctors nothing can I get better with this sickness or is it too late for me ?

Female | 37

Not taking proper food for so long can damage your body severely. The symptoms you talked about, for instance, your constant feeling cold and desire for hot water all the time, could indicate you are suffering from something serious such as malnutrition or damaged organs. You are supposed to go to specialists for diagnosed tests and treatments. You have to understand that it's not too late to get good treatment and work towards being healthy.

Actually i got a little scratch by a street dog’s nail but it’s not deep also so pls recommend me what should i do.. i can also share the pic of it for better suggestion

Female | 17

I can see that scratching you due to a street dog can be a worrying issue for you. From your information, the scratch is not too deep, which may mean there is a low chance of infection. Watch out for any redness, swelling, or warmth around the area. First of all, wash the scratch using soap and water and then apply the antiseptic cream to the area to avoid any further infection. Watch the scratch for a few days, and if you spot any of the infection signs that are getting worse, like more pain, redness, or pus formation, it is better to go to a doctor.

I'm a 19 year old girl. Recently, due to personal problems and mental trauma, I cut my hands with a blade. But the cut was not deep. It's been 5-6 months and the spots are still there. I apply Azelaic Acid since few weeks, but the spots are still there. It is not like scarred scar, it just makes my skin black. Please help me to fade these dark spots, as now I feel embarassed. Please.

Female | 19

These dark spots are known as hyperpigmentation administered after skin injury therapy. This is a natural condition that occurs after any injury to the skin, such as a cut or a scrape. Azelaic Acid is a very suitable solution, but, likely, you will not see impressive outcomes soon. Vitamin C serum and products with niacinamide are also good for you. Always remember to protect your skin from the sun with sunscreen.

I have fungal infection ringworm

Male | 16

Ringworm is a cutaneous infection which a fungus causes. Symptoms such as red, itchy, and scaly spots that look like circles may occur on the skin. The ringworm can be transmitted through contact with infected people, pets, or objects like shared towels. Therapy involves antifungal creams or tablets. You can also prevent the spreading of the infection by keeping the area clean and dry.

I have keloid scars on my upper chest and one on the side of my stomach. Both are raised and very pigmented. I am looking for topical (non-invasive) treatment options that would reduce the appearance of the scars. I would like to understand which combination of gels and creams would work best for my goals? E.g applying silicone cream gels and layering silicone gel sheets, then using bio oil etc.

Female | 18

Keloid scars are marks that are raised and dark because of the excessive collagen. These scars can be highly annoying for people. Utilization of silicone gel or sheets will assist in the flattening and bleaching of the scars. Besides, the application of bio-oil can be even more effective in enhancing the look. Hence, the most important thing is the time and patience to stick to the treatment to be able to see the effects of it.
