When someone has stomach flu, their body loses lots of fluids. Even though vomiting ceased, her body might still be trying to regain lost fluids, causing increased thirst. Continue providing Pedialyte and water to help her rehydrate. If she doesn't improve or struggles keeping fluids down, contact a pediatrician.

Hi doctor. My baby gets cold often while ac is on but if I switch it off he sweats so much and never sleeps. He starts crying. I don’t know what to do . Please help. Thank you.
Male | 1
The situation with your baby seems to involve regulating body heat. With AC on, your little one feels cold. Without AC, they get sweaty. This happens because babies' sweat glands aren't fully developed yet. So their bodies struggle to control their temperature. To help, dress your baby in layers that are easy to remove. Keep the room around 68-72°F. A small fan can gently circulate air without making it too breezy or cold. These simple adjustments should help your baby stay comfortable and sleep soundly.

Female | 20 mnth
It sounds like your baby might have a fever. A temperature of 100.4°F is a sign of fever in a 20-month-old child. It's best to consult a pediatrician to understand the cause and get proper treatment. They can provide the right advice and care for your baby.

Hi! I just started wetting the bed two nights in a row. My friend gave me one of his kids Huggies 4t-5t Pull Ups to try. I tried one on and it fit perfect actually since I am small for my age. I woke up wet today. I also have tried out a pacifier that they gave me for better sleep for a few nights.
Male | 26
Bedwetting as an adult can be due to various reasons like stress, urinary tract infections, or other medical conditions. It's important to see a urologist to get a proper diagnosis and treatment. Using pull-ups or pacifiers may help in the short term, but consulting a specialist is the best step for a long-term solution.

Hello My 11 year old son started showing covid symptoms on Tuesday August 1st. I tested him Friday August 4th and it was positive. I tested him again this morning and it's still positive. I was wondering if he still needs to quarantine. School is Monday and I dont know if he should go or not.
Male | 11
It's worrying your son caught COVID-19. He needs to stay quarantined, even with a positive test. COVID-19 spreads easily, and symptoms are gone or not. Common signs are coughing, fever, and tiredness. Protecting others means avoiding the spread. So stay home until not contagious.

I’m worried about my daughters certain movement she’s 2 and half month old
Female | 0
Babies usually have different movements when growing. Your 2.5-month-old daughter may show jerky, shaky motions. Her developing nervous system causes this. These movements normally go away as she ages. Contact your pediatrician if concerned about any signs.

My son se 8 year old he has 3 tablets of Imodium know he was breathing very heavyly and some time he was perfectly alright plz help me
Male | 8
This can be caused by the fact that Imodium may slow down your son's metabolic function. When he is breathing heavily, he is essentially trying to increase the oxygen flow to his body. Please do not give him extra Imodium. Likewise, keep an eye on him to see if he goes back to breathing normally again. If he keeps on having breathing issues, it is necessary to visit a pediatrician.

Measles is a virus causing fever, coughing, runny nose, and red rash. It spreads easily. You need rest, fluids, and isolation. The measles vaccine prevents this illness. However, measles often resolve without treatment. Still, call your doctor if concerned.

My son don't at all feel hungry and don't eat anything
Male | 7
Kids often refuse food, making parents worry. Your son's lack of appetite could stem from several factors: stress, illness, digestive issues. Ensure he drinks enough water and rests well. If poor appetite persists, consult your doctor. That said, temporary disinterest in eating is normal for children.

3 yrs girl having high fever what should we do
Female | 3
A high fever in a small kid can be concerning. Infections frequently cause fevers. Find out if she has other signs like coughing, runny nose, or belly pain too. Give her the proper dose of fever medicine meant for children, for example, acetaminophen or ibuprofen. Ensure she stays hydrated by drinking plenty of liquids. If the fever persists or she seems extremely ill, don't delay - reach out to a pediatrician.

Hello doctor my 9month old baby got fever. I gave him headbath after that he got fever why? No other symptoms. He is active normal
Male | 0
Babies sometimes experience a mild temperature increase after a headbath. This is normal, caused by their body cooling down slightly. If your baby seems active and well otherwise, there's typically no cause for concern. However, ensure they drink enough fluids and dress them warmly. Consult a pediatrician if the fever continues or worsens.

My son 5 years old has 2 bacterial infections confirmed. H influenzae and staphylococcus aureus. The pediatrician we saw has given him tablets called unasyn 1 tablet 3 times a day. Our problem is that he is sicking the tablet up because he's never had tablets before. We have some other antibiotics at home called augmentin 400/57/5ml in liquid form. Are we able to transfer over to the augmentin liquid or will this not kill the bacterial infections he has.
Male | 5
Your worry about your child not taking tablets is understandable. H. influenzae and Staphylococcus aureus often infect kids. Augmentin liquid treats these bacteria too. Since you have it at home, the liquid form may suit your son better than tablets. Follow your pediatrician's dosage guide carefully. Complete the full course to eliminate the germs. If new symptoms appear or you have doubts, promptly consult your pediatrician.

My son is five years old and he has occasional worms. I gave him pills two months ago. If he gets them again, can I give him the pills again?
Male | 5
Some of the signs covered are itching on the anus, tummy aches, and changes in the appetite. If your child receives the same treatment that was administered two months ago and the same symptoms are present again, it is generally okay to give the standard medication. But it is very important to get the advice from a pediatrician before making any step in this direction. Moreover, with good hygiene manners, like proper handwashing and shorter nails, the chances of re-invading worms are lower.

Rheumatoid arthritis does not harm your baby through breast milk. It's a kind of autoimmune disease that has joint pain and swelling issues. You are not giving your baby the disease through breastfeeding. Following your care regime as your doctor indicated is essential. Only if otherwise told by the doctor of medications that are not suitable to take during breastfeeding.

My 3nd half years son is passing urine frequently
Male | 3
If he is drinking water, it's normal. But if he's not drinking more water, yet he's still peeing a lot then it might be due to a urinary tract infection. This can lead to pain and a constant need to urinate. Ensure that he's getting enough water and try to take him to a pediatrician for examination.

My newborn has crp level of 39 .After 2 days of antibiotics it decreased to 18. But after another 4 days no changes .it remains 18 only. Is this something to worry about or are Antibiotics are not working anymore
Female | 5 days
Having a CRP level of 18 when a baby is born could mean an infection exists. The antibiotics helped lower it initially, that's good. But if it stays unchanged after more days, we may need to check if the antibiotics are still working properly. Contact your pediatrician if the baby develops fever, gets fussy, struggles with feeding, or has breathing issues. They can guide you on what to do next.
