What should I do for my 7-day-old baby's fever and thin potty?

My baby is 7 days old girl and she is facing fever 100.6 degree f. And thin potty. What can I do please suggest

Answered on 24th June '24

Fevers in infants can indicate that their bodies are fighting infection while loose stool might signal a problem in the tummy. Ensure she’s getting enough fluids either through breast milk or formula feeding. Dress her lightly and give her a lukewarm bath to reduce the fever. You should also contact a pediatrician for additional advice.

My child got vaccinated and got swelling on injected area ..what should i understand by this that vaccination is done properly or not and how should i treat my child to get rid of pain and swelling.

Male | 5

Swelling, and pain at the injection area - this is normal for kids after vaccination. The body responds by building immunity. Cold packs soothe discomfort; acetaminophen helps too. Persistent swelling warrants checking with the doctor. But generally, these reactions indicate the vaccine is working as intended.

Sar mere bachy ko loz motion horhay h Kiya wo bar bar Pani mag rha h Kiya me Pani dadu

Diarrhea can lead to dehydration, especially in children, so providing fluids is necessary. You can give your child water but it's essential to do it in small, frequent sips rather than large amounts at once. You can also give ORS to help prevent dehydration.

4and half year old kid, girl, in blood report CRP 21.6, getting fever frequently, head is more warm then rest of the body. git prescribed Azithromycin 200 twice a day, Cefopodoxime 50mg thrice a day, and for fever Paracetamol with Mefanamic acid as per requirement. Its about 3-4 days, but no improvement in fever, and now kid is not allowing to touch his stomach.Several vomits were during Macpod(cefopodoxime tablet) until replaced with oral suspension. Suggestions requested for food and eatings and when we should look further to be worried?

Female | 4

The fever and hot head might indicate an infection, while the vomiting and stomach ache could be from the medication. Let's switch to a different antibiotic and add probiotics to ease the stomach issues. Keep offering light, bland foods like crackers, bananas, and rice. If symptoms don't improve or get worse, further tests may be needed.

Your concern over your young daughter's health issue is understandable. When high body temperature strikes kids, they may experience a seizure. Kids frequently get fevers which resolve independently. Cooling measures and fever-reducing medicine like acetaminophen help immensely. Seek urgent medical assistance if seizures persist.

Female | 2

Your baby's health situation seems concerning. The echo test finding a hole, an ASD, is worrisome. This hole doesn't always close naturally as babies grow up. Sometimes, surgery becomes necessary to fix it. Watch for trouble breathing or poor growth as warning signs. Speak to your doctor about the ideal treatment path for your child.

My son drink 30ml of Nyquil instead of 15ml. He is 8yr old. weight 44lb and 4ft height.

Male | 8

Medicine is crucial but you must be extremely careful with doses. If your child takes too much, it can make them sick. Your son drank double the recommended Nyquil amount. He will likely feel drowsy, dizzy, and have an upset stomach or headache. The overdose happened because the medicine was too strong for his body size. Give him water right away. Watch him carefully for other symptoms. If he seems unwell, don't hesitate to get medical help.
