Why does my daughter get recurring fever monthly?

My daughter is getting fever every month from last 3 months. The gap is between 2 fever is 4-5 week.every time pattern of the fever is same. It remains for 5 days first 2 days comes in every 4-5 hours then next 2 days comes in every 13-14 hours and last 5th day it comes only once in 24 hours and then it goes.along with fever she get sore thorat as well every time. Is it just a viral or periodic fever syndrome because every time pattern and time is same

Answered on 23rd July '24

Based on your description, your daughter may have recurrent fever syndrome. This condition involves frequent episodes of high body temperature occurring in a regular pattern. It can result from various causes, such as infections, inflammation, or genetic factors. Since she also has a sore throat, a viral infection is likely the cause. Ensure she gets plenty of rest, drinks a lot of water, and takes fever-reducing medication if she has a fever. Make an appointment with a pediatrician as soon as possible and get her checked regularly.

These symptoms can be pretty rough for a kid her age. There are a few possible reasons: stress, not enough sleep, or something in her diet. My advice is to take her to see a pediatric neurologist for the headaches, plus a counselor. Getting help from both might be useful.

foaming while sleeping for my 3 year old

Female | 3

Foaming during slumber for a 3-year-old could stem from excess drooling. This occurrence is typical as teeth develop. At times, it may resemble foam. It doesn't usually signify a severe issue. Ensuring your child's head is slightly elevated while resting might alleviate the situation. Additionally, utilizing a soft pillowcase may absorb the drool. However, if your child exhibits breathing difficulties or persistent coughing, seeking medical attention is advisable.

My daughter is very aggressive and never listen. Always tantrums

Female | 5

Consult a child psychologist or pediatrician. Your daughter's aggressive behavior and frequent tantrums may be due to underlying emotional or behavioral issues that need professional evaluation. Early intervention can be very helpful in managing and improving these behaviors.

The child crying for 3 hours straight is concerning. You checked their needs, but crying persists. Hunger, discomfort, or sickness causes prolonged crying. Ensure they're fed, clean, and comfy. Look for fever, vomiting - signs of illness. If crying won't stop, see a doctor quickly. It's important to find the root cause and address any issues.

I am a child of age 11 and I think I have checken pox

Male | 11

Chickenpox is a frequent illness in kids. The symptoms consist of red itchy spots which form into blisters, fever, and not feeling well. It is caused by a virus called varicella-zoster. The good news is that chickenpox usually will go away by itself in a week or two. Be sure to consume enough fluids and rest. Prevent scarring by scratching the blisters. Inform a grown-up at home so they can help take care of you while you recover.
