While working, a liquid splashed into my eye. I am unsure of whether it was water or liquid bowel movement. I have no pain or discomfort in my eyes. Is there any need to worry at this time?
Female | 23
It's important to rinse your eye with clean water immediately to remove any residue, even if you're not feeling pain or discomfort. Sometimes, even harmless-looking liquids can cause irritation or infection. To be safe, I recommend visiting an eye specialist who can examine your eye properly and give you the right advice.

Should I study without astigmatism glasses because I don't have now . Plz tell. My exams preparation will be effected or not.
Male | 21
Are you studying? Make sure to wear your astigmatism glasses! Not wearing them can negatively affect your preparation. Astigmatism causes blurry vision and eye strain, leading to discomfort and headaches. Astigmatism occurs due to an irregular shape of the cornea or lens, but wearing glasses can correct blurry vision, helping you study more effectively.

hi. I have a question if there is any treatment for eye stroke. This happened on 11/12/2023. Now they have regained their vision, but not completely, but especially in the middle of the eye, and I have a report and pictures of the eye. Thank you very much.
Male | 48
Eye strokes occur when blood vessels supplying the eye get blocked. Vision loss is the result. Regaining some sight is positive progress, good news indeed. To potentially improve vision further, an eye specialist appointment seems wise. They can suggest treatments, like eye exercises or medicine, that might help restore more eyesight. Diligent follow-up care with the eye doctor becomes crucial moving forward.

My grandmother mistaken taken vapocap as eye drop in her eyes last night what to do ,is her vision is at risk?
Female | 75
Sometimes, VapoCap can get in the eyes accidentally. This causes eye irritation, redness, and discomfort. The eyes may produce more tears than normal. To treat this, gently rinse the eyes with cool water for about 15 minutes. However, if symptoms persist or worsen, it's wise to visit an eye doctor for a checkup.

I m using steroid eye drops since one year… can be at risk of cataract or glaucoma
Female | 32
Long-term usage of steroid eye drops, like a year, can be risky. It may lead to cataracts or glaucoma. Cataracts cause cloudy vision. Glaucoma can result in eye pain and vision loss. To prevent these problems, regular check-ups with your eye doctor are essential.

I have so called Amplyopia in my left eye, and I am 54 years old , is possible to treat that
Male | 54
Amplyopia, known as lazy eye, can happen because childhood vision didn't develop right. Or it can be caused by other eye issues. Signs may be blurry sight, or eyes not working together well. At 54, treating lazy eye is harder, but vision therapy or glasses might help improve eyesight some. Getting eyes checked regularly is very important.

Wind wafted a small amount of perfume into the side of my eyes. I'm currently experiencing discomfort and strange sensations in my eyes as a result of the perfume. I'm worried about going blind?
Male | 33
There's no need to panic when you get some perfume into your eyes. When we get something irritating our eyes, it's common to feel discomfort and unusual things. You may have been affected by the perfume, hence these symptoms. In that case, you should splash clean water on them gently for a while. If it doesn't stop, have an eye specialist see it as soon as possible.

I am speaking from Bangladesh. I got glass in my eye in a car accident. After medical treatment, an operation was performed and the eye was stitched. And was using some drops. Such as drepaid drop, mycin drop etc. After doing these the eyes were improving. Suddenly one day after sleeping at night I woke up in the morning. I see blurry eyes. Very blurry. And there are some white spots inside the eyes. What is the problem and treatment?
Male | 26
You may be having a problem called corneal ulcer. This may be the case if there is an infection or an injury of the cornea, which is the outermost layer of the eye and is transparent. Blurry vision and white spots are the typical symptoms. It's important to see your eye doctor for proper treatment, which may include antibiotics or other medications.

Optic atrophy due to be retinitis pigmentosa
As per my understanding, you want to know whether retinitis pigmentosa can lead to optic atrophy. Retinitis pigmentosa (RP) is rare degenerative disease affecting the rod photoreceptors in the retina. The optic disc in RP may show optic atrophy, usually defined as a 'waxy pallor' of the disc, and is assumed to be a due of photoreceptor degeneration. Consult an ophthalmologist to rule out the cause in your case and to also guide you for further course of management. You can refer - Best Ophthalmologists in India, to sought consultation!

I have specs . My vision in right eye is 6/12 and in left eye is 6/6 . I have been wearing specs for 1 year, and now I have a doubt about it . Should I wear my specs full time ? Or should I wear them while reading, writing or using phone and TV? If I use my specs full time with a minor problem like this ( I think so) will it lead to a condition where I can't see anything without specs? This has been a concern for about a week now . Please help me with this.
Male | 16
According to your vision prescription, wearing spectacles every single day is the way to go. It enables your eyes to coordinate better and reduces the possibility of strain, which is particularly important when doing activities such as reading, writing, or using screens. The spectacle usage regularly you wear wouldn't make your eyesight worsen; it only allows you to see better. If you have any new symptoms or concerns, like headaches or blurry vision, reach out to an eye specialist.

I fell more weekness around eye kya reason ho sakti ha
Female | 22
You are experiencing some extra fatigue around the eye area which is no good. This can be caused by several reasons. Not getting enough sleep, staring at a screen for a long time, or not drinking enough water can weaken the eyes. Try taking breaks from the screens, sleeping enough, and drinking lots of water. If this sensation doesn't go away, see an eye doctor for a check-up.

Iam 27 year i have cataract problem of 2 year
Male | 27
Cataracts are eye conditions that cause cloudy vision, making it hard to see clearly. People with cataracts may notice that objects appear blurry, colors are less vibrant, and vision at night is more challenging. Cataracts typically develop when the lens in your eye becomes cloudy, often due to aging or other health issues. The most effective treatment is surgery, where the cloudy lens is replaced with a clear artificial one.

I am a 13-year-old girl, and one of my eyelids is drooping. This happened a few months ago and I thought it would change but it isn't. One eyelid is slightly droopier than the other. I'm not sure if it's Ptosis, but if so, what can I do to get it fixed whenever I look up one eye bends, and the other has a monolid. This also makes me unsymmetrical. My eyelid used to be the same, what can I do to fix this?
Female | 13
It is possible that you have ptosis, which is a drooping of the eyelid. It is important to see an ophthalmologist to accurately diagnose the condition and determine the most appropriate treatment.

I have experienced shaky vision in the top as well the left corner of my left eye. This has happened 4 times so far in a span of 6 months. the most recent being yesterday (11/18/2023). it starts of with a dark/ blind spot in the centre of my eye/ vision so I can see like the peripheries of stuff but not the middle. Kind of like when you stare at the sun or a bulb then you get a dark spot in your vision for a bit. this then transitions into shaky vision in the top and left hand corner of my left eye only. the best way I can describe it is like when you look at the ground on a hot day or the sand in a desert when heat is rising so things look all wavy. that's what it looks like. then this lasts for 10-15 minutes then it goes away. please note that I never have headaches or migraines ever during these episodes. do you have an idea of what this could be?
Female | 26
BASED ON your SYMPTOMS, it's possible that you are experiencing OCULAR MIGRAINES...However, it's IMPORTANT to consult an EYE DOCTOR for a proper DIAGNOSIS and TREATMENT PLAN...Ocular migraines are not HARMFUL, but ruling out other causes is CRUCIAL...

Hello I am looking for a treatment for an eye whose nerves have stopped functioning.
Male | 60
You might be affected by a disorder of the eye, where the nervous cells in the eye are not working properly. This may be due to aging, high blood pressure, or diabetes. Nevertheless, it also might be that a person exhibits signs of blurred, partial, or total vision loss. Treatments for that might include taking special eye drops or doing procedures that will be put in place to protect your nerve endings that are situated in the eye. Your optometrist can prescribe eye drops or other medications to improve your vision.

I have -7.5 eye sight In right eye and -3.75 eye sight in my left eye .am I eligible for pwd low vision category
Male | 24
Significant nearsightedness in both eyes is what you have in effect. This, though, can be a challenge, not the case for people who have disabilities, and may not necessarily be a reason for low vision. You may have symptoms such as blurry vision and struggle to see things at a distance. Genetic factors or eye shape can be some of the causes. Glasses or contact lenses can be used to correct the vision. Be sure to see an eye doctor for a thorough assessment and advice.
