Which surgery is better for grade 2 brain tumor? Should the patient opt for Radiosurgery or Craniotomy?
Generally there are 4 types of Resection to remove a tumor:
- Gross total: The entire tumor is removed. However, sometimes microscopic cells may remain.
- Subtotal: A large portion of the tumor is removed.
- Partial: Only part of the tumor is removed.
- Biopsy only: Only a small portion is removed, which is used for a biopsy.
The treatment or surgery depends on several factors like type of cancer, the stage of cancer, location, age of patient, general health, associated comorbidities and others. Consult an oncologist, who on evaluation of the patient will guide you to choose the best treatment suitable for the patient.
Hope our answer helps you.

why am I weak every time, dizzy, and sometimes collapse with headache and lose of appetite..
Female | 25
You may be wondering if you have an iron deficiency. Anemia is a condition that develops when your body does not have enough red blood cells to carry oxygen. This may result in fatigue and strange symptoms of dizziness and headaches. A decrease in appetite is another situation that is often found. Intake of green leafy vegetables like spinach, seeds high in protein like beans and lean meat may be helpful. Besides, your doctor may also bring up the consumption of iron supplements to improve your red blood cell count.

I have been diagnosed with IIH. Could I work in a hospital with equipment that use electromagnetic radiation in the future if I get a shunt placement ? Will it affect my shunt valve settings?
Female | 27
Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH) can cause headaches and vision problems due to increased pressure around the brain. One common treatment is shunt placement, a tube that drains excess fluid. Working with radiation equipment in a hospital is unlikely to affect your shunt, as shunt valves are not impacted by electromagnetic radiation.
