My name is chandana .... I am having migraine Aura
Neurosurgeon
Answered on 8th Oct '24
You are going through a condition called a migraine aura. These may involve seeing flashing lights, zigzag lines, or blurry vision before a headache begins. Other symptoms may be light and sound hypersensitivity, nausea, and sometimes dizziness. Migraine auras can be a result of stress, some foods, or no sleep. To manage them, you should first identify your triggers, then practice relaxation techniques, and finally, ensure to get enough rest. It is necessary to consult a neurologist for more information if the symptoms continue.

Your friend could be having a panic attack. A state where the person has rapid breathing, cold hands and feet, sweaty palms, and feeling unable to move is the most common one during a panic attack. The reasons may be different but the stress or anxiety stage is often the cause. Advise your friend to breathe slowly and deeply to stay calm and composed. Offer them strong reassurance and be a steady presence to help them through it.

my mother is 82 years and diabetic .mri result says 1)multiple small T2W/FLAIR hyperintense foci noted in bilateral frontal and parietal periventricular and sub cortical regions-chronic small vessel ischemic changes 2) Diffuse cerebral atrophy doctor suggested procedure to remove water from spine your suggestion pl
Male | 59
I recommend that she should visit a neurologist. In MRI, the T2W/FLAIR images exhibited multiple small white matter hyperintensities in the bilateral frontal and parietal periventricular and subcortical areas. They suggest chronic small vessel ischemic change. Spinal tap water removal may not be the recommended treatment for her symptoms.

The condition which causes the cubital tunnel syndrome is the result of the ulnar nerve being compressed or irritated. The symptoms are found in feeling pins and needles, weakness, and difficulty in flexing the affected finger which harbors some doubts. One remedy can be found in the avoidance of cubital tunnel exacerbating sports and using a night splint to keep the arm straight. Despite that, following the aforementioned measures, if the symptoms remain persistent then attaining further advice from a neurologist will be sufficient.

When I press my head backside (the place where it was hit when I fell)... It's bleeding from nose... And we took a CT scan they told there's nothing on it... But now it's strted to bleeding on ears and then the eyes on the side where it was hit
Male | 16
It sounds like you are experiencing some serious symptoms, even though your CT scan showed no abnormalities. Bleeding from the nose, ears, and eyes after a head injury can be concerning and should be taken seriously. I strongly recommend that you visit a neurologist or an ENT specialist as soon as possible for a thorough examination and proper treatment. They will be able to assess your condition more accurately and provide the necessary care.

My grandmother got a mini stroke and she is already a cancer patient and while the mini stroke she bited her tounge and immediately we took her to the hospital and the doctor said the stroke has gone to the brain what may it cause ?
Female | 63
Brain injuries like a mini-stroke may cause the brain to not work correctly, thus leaving some of the body weak, causing difficulties to speak, and even confusion. Due to her history of cancer, it is critical to keep a close watch on her as a stroke can complicate her condition. A neurologist will probably suggest some medications and rehabilitation to assist her in recovery.

Hello. I am a male about to marry a 23 y/o female who at the age of 19 was diagnosed with Focal Epilepsy Affecting Frontal Lobe. I am trying to see whether it is a good idea to marry and start a family with this girl. The problem is her head and eyes move to the right when she has an episode which is usually triggered by eye contact and nervousness. So her neurologist perscribed Lacosamide twice a day which she says has prevented her from having an episode in over a year, but I want to check with you if this is true/common? Also will her illness get worse later down the line especially when we start having kids? Will it spread to other parts of the brain and what will happen if that occurs? She says the side effects of the medicine is she gets drowsy and sleepy sometimes, how often does that last? Thank you.
Female | 23
While Lacosamide can effectively prevent epilepsy episodes, its side effects like drowsiness are common. It's advisable to consult with a neurologist regarding the long-term effects of epilepsy and its potential impact on family planning. Specialists like neurologists can provide personalized guidance based on individual health conditions.
