I had an eye stroke on the 11th December and they told me that I have a died vein in my eye and there is a blood stuck in the vein that won't move, I was wondering if you guys have any treatments instead of medicines because in the uk they only prescribe me medications and not medical treatments like operations etc i need urgent help and please do reply if you have anything to help me .
Male | 48
Eye strokes are bad. A blood clot blocks a vein in your eye. This causes blurry vision, pain, and flashes of light. High blood pressure or diabetes can cause clots. Surgery might not help, but laser therapy or injections may restore blood flow. It's crucial to see an eye doctor regularly. They'll recommend the best treatment.

I have pain in my right eye in the right corner and it seems to be painful and When I move it and blink it hurts also if I press on it it is abit painful. I have had it for 1 to 2 days.
Male | 15
According to your description, you may experience eye strain. Overworked eyes are the main reason for this and they may cause discomfort. The most common symptoms are the sensation of pain in the right eye, especially when you move or blink. This can happen if you stare at the screens or read too long. To solve this, take breaks from screens, use warm compresses and rest your eyes. If it doesn't get better, go to an eye doctor.

My suggestion is that you get an appointment with an ophthalmologist to have a look at the condition of your left eye. Complications do occur in a cataract surgery, though this procedure is very popular. The retina and choroid can detach from each other, and then cause permanent vision loss.

I am 13 year old , I have problem on eye down infection
Male | 13
It seems that you could develop a disease known as “lower eye infection”. Symptoms may feature including redness, swelling, and discharge from the eye. It is usually the case that bacteria get to the eye when it fails to respond well. For the infection, clean the eye with warm water and then, if your doctor prescribes them, use antibiotic eye drops. Always wash those hands so viruses stay away and do not spread the infection.

Please Can you answer me.Could you treat eye problem which is retinit pigmentosa diagnos
Male | 17
Yes, of course! Retinal pigmentosa is a visual disability that happens when the cells in the retina do not function properly, thereby leading to a vision problem. Symptoms include difficulty in seeing at night and side vision loss. It's mostly a genetic disorder, and thus it commonly appears in families. Retinitis pigmentosa is yet to be discovered with a cure. However, using sunglasses and low-vision aids can benefit the management of the symptoms.

I have a squit eyes I wanted to have a check up
Female | 22
You have a condition called "squint eyes", aka strabismus. The situation is where one of the eyes is not functioning right, thus the two eyes are directed in different ways. Sometimes, you will see one eye looking one way, like in, out, up, or down. One reason could be the weakened eye muscles, or the problem may be with the nerves that control the eye muscles. The type of treatment may include glasses, eye exercises, or surgery, depending on the cause and degree of the squint. It is vital to visit an eye specialist for an accurate assessment and a discussion of the best treatment choices for you.

Astigmatism causes sleep during studying . I have astigmatism little high and I don't use glasses . Sleepiness during study is becoz of astigmatism ?
Male | 21
astigmatism could be a factor in sleepiness while studying. Fatigue and sleepiness are often caused by the vision complications of astigmatism such as blurriness and distraction. It is vital to go to an optometrist or ophthalmologist for a professional eye examination and the proper correction of visual impairments via prescription glasses or contact lenses.

I had cataract surgery for both eyes on 2017 and 2018 with monofocal lens. I'm 32 years old. Can i change lens to trifocal lens.
Unlike monofocal and bifocal lenses, trifocal lenses also provide comfortable intermediate vision, which is important for various daily activities, such as computer work. With trifocal lenses, you can perform a range of activities in everyday life without glasses. This includes daily tasks such as: reading, working on computer and watching TV (examples given to suggest the distance). The trifocal lenses for cataracts cost in india can range from INR 30,000 to INR 60,000 per eye.

Should I study without astigmatism glasses because I don't have now . Plz tell. My exams preparation will be effected or not.
Male | 21
Are you studying? Make sure to wear your astigmatism glasses! Not wearing them can negatively affect your preparation. Astigmatism causes blurry vision and eye strain, leading to discomfort and headaches. Astigmatism occurs due to an irregular shape of the cornea or lens, but wearing glasses can correct blurry vision, helping you study more effectively.

Optic atrophy due to be retinitis pigmentosa
As per my understanding, you want to know whether retinitis pigmentosa can lead to optic atrophy. I have experienced shaky vision in the top as well the left corner of my left eye. This has happened 4 times so far in a span of 6 months. the most recent being yesterday (11/18/2023). it starts of with a dark/ blind spot in the centre of my eye/ vision so I can see like the peripheries of stuff but not the middle. Kind of like when you stare at the sun or a bulb then you get a dark spot in your vision for a bit. this then transitions into shaky vision in the top and left hand corner of my left eye only. the best way I can describe it is like when you look at the ground on a hot day or the sand in a desert when heat is rising so things look all wavy. that's what it looks like. then this lasts for 10-15 minutes then it goes away. please note that I never have headaches or migraines ever during these episodes. do you have an idea of what this could be?
Female | 26
BASED ON your SYMPTOMS, it's possible that you are experiencing OCULAR MIGRAINES...However, it's IMPORTANT to consult an EYE DOCTOR for a proper DIAGNOSIS and TREATMENT PLAN...Ocular migraines are not HARMFUL, but ruling out other causes is CRUCIAL...

I am suddenly seeing floaters in my vision and a little pain in the back of the eye, especially the left one. Eyes were perfectly normal around 2 weeks ago. I am not seeing any flashes of light or distorted vision, it is just fast moving floaters. I didn't do anything that would cause injury to my eyes. What it could be?
Female | 21
You may be suffering from posterior vitreous detachment (PVD). The reason for this is when the gel-like structure in your eye gradually departs from the retina thus causing floaters. The aching in the back of your eye could be the result of a process that is abrasive to the area. The good news is that PVD often gets better on its own. However, you need to see an eye doctor to confirm there are no complications.

Sometimes, VapoCap can get in the eyes accidentally. This causes eye irritation, redness, and discomfort. The eyes may produce more tears than normal. I take ashwagandha daily, can I donate my blood? And I had a Lasik eye surgery 3 years ago.
Male | 21
Yes, you can give blood if you take ashwagandha every day and had Lasik surgery 3 years ago. The ashwagandha herb is safe and will not impact your blood donation. The Lasik eye operation you had some time ago also does not stop you from giving blood. Just make sure you feel good on the day you plan to donate blood.
