Will Wearing Glasses with a Degree of 0.75 Make My Eye Problems Worse Over Time?

The Doctor has prescribed me glasses with a degree of +0.75 ... I don't feel comfortable for this , I think this degree of glasses is too much. what do you think sir. I will wear glasses for the first time. I am very busy at the computer these days. If I wear glasses, depending on the degree of glasses I thought it was too much, will my eye problems progress over time...

Wearing wrong glasses causes only discomfort and eyestrains. If you have any doubt it is better to go for a second opinion.

I 28 years old. I have under gone Lasik eye surgery in Narayana Netralaya in 2019. But one of the eye didn't improve any eye sight...I went to them but they said the Par has removed and the number of both the eyes is zero.. but one eye I can't read and get blurred vision... Is there any way or is it necessary to undergo another surgery....please help me out in this issue

Male | 28

This is alarming because even in one of your eyes you still face an issue with clarity of vision after Lasik surgery. It is recommended that one consult an eye consultant doctor who conducts a full eye inspection. They take note of unique factors that cause blurred vision; these may be refractive errors or an underlying condition. This depends on what is found in the latter part of these surgical procedures so it may entail additional surgery if the findings are unfavorable, but proper professional assessment by an eye specialist would be better.

I’m wondering if eyeglasses are needed while my right eye is 20/30 and my left eye is 20/25, but both are 20/20 and my right eye suffers from recurrent corneal erosion.

Male | 27

Both your eyes are mostly fine. A corneal erosion can be dangerous and cause pain and sensitivity to light. Even if you have perfect eyesight, you may need to wear special glasses that will protect your eye from an even greater injury. These glasses can be used to stop more erosions from happening.

I have so called Amplyopia in my left eye, and I am 54 years old , is possible to treat that

Male | 54

Amplyopia, known as lazy eye, can happen because childhood vision didn't develop right. Or it can be caused by other eye issues. Signs may be blurry sight, or eyes not working together well. At 54, treating lazy eye is harder, but vision therapy or glasses might help improve eyesight some. Getting eyes checked regularly is very important.

Male | 25

Yes, eye pain can be a sign of TB infection if your eyes are infected with it. TB can infect the eyes which in turn can lead to various health problems. Typical symptoms are the presence of eye pain, redness, and blurry vision. The medication for TB treatment should be followed strictly as prescribed by your doctor. Also, it is recommended to have regular check-ups to track your progress.

One year after giving birth, Nidhi’s periods resumed, and she started experiencing frequent swelling in the upper and occasionally the lower portion of her right eye.

Female | 29

Nidhi’s eye swelling incident might be due to sinusitis, which is caused by acute inflammation of the sinuses. This occurs when the sinus passages are blocked or infected. The swelling is happening due to the presence of the fluid. You can put a warm towel on your eye and also drink plenty of water to help reduce the swelling.

Can an iphone flashlight damage my eyes? I have myopia and that's ok, but since august now I have problems with my vision and I'm really scared. I have dermatillomania (skin picking) and since 5 years now I'm watching my skin really close on my face in the mirror. I have crisis that can last few hours. Sometimes, I've used my iPhone flashlight close to my eyes side to the mirror to watch my skin. I wasn't staring directly at the flashlight but it was close to my eyes and my field of vision. Now I'm scared that I've damaged my vision with the flashlight used a lot of times and long period of time close to my eyes

Female | 21

Noting that using the flashlight of your iPhone near your eyes is not a desirable situation, it is highly unlikely to be the cause of any significant damage to your vision. Being exposed to bright light can bring about temporary discomfort or glare; however, it is usually not the cause of long-term damage. Also, the visual impairments that you noticed lately can be brought by other reasons like eye distress and stress. At the same time, remember that your eyes should not be looked at very closely without a break. I think you should go and see an eye specialist to get your vision checked and also to talk about the symptoms You feel.

I take ashwagandha daily, can I donate my blood? And I had a Lasik eye surgery 3 years ago.

Male | 21

Yes, you can give blood if you take ashwagandha every day and had Lasik surgery 3 years ago. The ashwagandha herb is safe and will not impact your blood donation. The Lasik eye operation you had some time ago also does not stop you from giving blood. Just make sure you feel good on the day you plan to donate blood.
