Your wife's biopsy report flagged potential Crohn's Disease after her appendectomy. This inflammatory bowel condition impacts intestines, causing abdominal discomfort, loose stools, and weight fluctuations. A colonoscopy inspection could confirm diagnosis. Following up with your doctor remains vital for comprehensive evaluation.

Female | 15
You could have appendicitis. Your appendix is infected, causing constant pain on the lower right side. Dizziness, high fever, poor appetite, weakness - those symptoms suggest appendicitis. Your infected appendix needs surgical removal immediately, or complications may arise. Visit a gastroenterologist.

I feel hungry but can't eat.
Male | 59
Feeling hungry but not being able to eat can be tough. In this case, if stress or worry occupies your mind, it is difficult to have an appetite. Feeling sick and having tummy troubles can also lead to this. It's essential to try activities for fun, such as drinking ginger tea or taking a gentle walk, to help your tummy relax. If your tummy troubles continue, talk to a gastroenterologist about other options.

I had an external hemorrhoid that caused an anal fissure and just wanted to know what I creams I could use to remove anal fissure scar?
Female | 24
As a medical expert, I would recommend you to make a gastroenterologist consult about your anal fissure scar issue. Over-the-counter creams may not work and could cause other problems. A gastroenterologist can prescribe appropriate treatment measures including topical medications or surgery if required.

I have excessive abdominal pain I want to show my whole abdominal ultrasound
Male | 26
Abdominal pain can have many causes, including issues with the stomach, intestines, or other organs. It could be due to gas, constipation, infections, or something more serious like appendicitis. If needed, your doctor may recommend an abdominal ultrasound to identify the cause. The treatment will depend on the results, so it's important to follow your doctor's advice.

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to discuss my ongoing gastrointestinal issues that have persisted despite my recent surgery for chronic constipation and rectal prolapse. I underwent a laparoscopic ventral mesh rectopexy, but I am still experiencing significant problems related to anal hypotension and hypocontractility, as well as prolonged Balloon Expulsion Test (BET) results indicative of Type 1 Dyssynergia. Despite the surgical intervention, I continue to struggle with inadequate anal sphincter tone and a reduced ability to contract effectively. These issues have led to ongoing difficulties with bowel control and frequent episodes of constipation. The prolonged BET results suggest that my pelvic floor muscles are still not coordinating properly during bowel movements. Given my history and the current symptoms, I would greatly appreciate your expertise in identifying the next steps for management. Specifically, I am interested in exploring options such as pelvic floor rehabilitation, biofeedback therapy, or any further diagnostic evaluations that may be necessary to address these issues effectively. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your guidance on how we can best proceed to improve my condition.
Male | 60
These issues might be due to problems with the pelvic floor muscles not functioning properly during bowel movements. Pelvic floor rehabilitation could help by improving muscle coordination and strength in the pelvic area, potentially aiding in better bowel control. Another option is biofeedback therapy, which uses sensors to teach you how to coordinate your muscles during bowel movements. Discuss these options with your medical team to find the best approach for you. Additional diagnostic tests might be needed to understand the situation better.

What is normal level of lipase
Male | 17
An individual can find the chubby substance-dissolving macromolecule in this system. It commonly breaks down between 0 to 160 units per liter when it is in a healthy person’s bloodstream. Having a high level of lipase can indicate something wrong with your pancreas. Some signs that someone has too much lipase may include pain in their stomach or feeling sick; they might also have a fever, etc.

My husband prolapsed his rectum many weeks ago, I believe it's an internal prolapse, but it is external too. He's having a lot of issues. Constipation, gas (all day every day), trouble with urinating, always feels like he needs to go to the bathroom. He has had bleeding before. As well as sexual dysfunction. He has seen a GI dr but they did not do an exam and check him. He's gone to the er for this one time, and they also did not do an exam. He will literally spend 2 hours in the bathroom, multiple times per day, Yelling, crying, and in pain. If I take him to the er will they even help him? What would/could/should they do?
Male | 40
From what I gather, your husband might have a serious rectum problem known as rectal prolapse. This might give way to a number of annoying symptoms including constipation, gas, urination problems, frequent toilet visits, bleeding, and sexual dysfunction. He must first obtain the best medical assistance. The ER or gastroenterologist should perform a physical examination and may even recommend treatments such as surgery to repair the prolapse.

Good morning I have on and off diarrhea and severe abdominal pain m weak no appetite its been 7 daes
Male | 38
You're dealing with diarrhea, intense belly pain, feeling weak, and no appetite for a week. That's rough! It might be a stomach bug or food poisoning causing these issues. Stay hydrated by drinking lots of fluids. Stick to plain foods like toast and rice. But if it persists, consult your gastroenterologist right away.

Male | 21
Body aches and stomach troubles for three days must be difficult. He may have caught a stomach bug. Such illnesses can cause body pain and abdominal discomfort. The best approach now is bed rest, staying hydrated with ample water, and consuming light fare like crackers and broth. Following this path should aid his recovery soon.

Male | 19
Overeating can cause your stomach to feel uncomfortable, which is called indigestion. Some of these symptoms can be caused by eating fatty foods like burgers and fries, as well as drinking alcohol on an empty stomach. To feel better, if you want drink water, eat light foods, and rest.

should I be having liver pain between 10 and 15 years after my gallbladder removal? it is intermittent in frequency, but when it happens, it is excruciating enough that I have to pull the car over and it has caused me to call off work. But when it does happen, it may only last for an hour, and it leaves as quickly as it came on. Is there something else going on with my liver or is this from my gallbladder removal?
Male | 38
Experiencing liver pain years after gallbladder removal isn't typical. Post-cholecystectomy syndrome might cause it, where fatty foods bring pain, bloating, or nausea. However, your severe, intermittent pain suggests another liver issue like gallstones or inflammation. Consult a gastroenterologist for proper evaluation and treatment.
