Nodular Prurigo: Prolonged Condition Over 1.5 Years

Nodular prurigo is a long-lasting skin condition that causes very itchy bumps. These bumps stay for years because scratching or rubbing makes them worse. Creams can help reduce the itching, and it’s important to avoid scratching and keep the skin moisturized. Sometimes, prescription medications are needed, so it's a good idea to see a dermatologist. This condition can cause a lot of discomfort over time, as the urge to scratch makes the bumps worse. A good skincare routine and medical treatment can provide relief.

I have a rash on breast for a year changes slightly recently. No other symptoms

Female | 40

A rash on the breast persisting for a year and showing recent changes should prompt a visit to a dermatologist. While it could be benign, such changes may signify underlying issues like dermatitis, fungal infections, or even rare conditions like Paget's disease of the breast.

Female | 31

You may be dealing with a cold sore that’s popped up on your top lip, making it hurt and itch. That’s probably because of a virus called herpes simplex. Acyclovir is a good choice for getting some relief from this. Just use it like they tell you to. Doing this can help you heal better faster and help lessen the signs and symptoms.

how are doing my name is nene an from Rwanda i want to ask about skincare because my face looks like 30 years old but I am 20 years?

Female | 20

There are many reasons why your skin may appear older than you’d like. Some of the most common include excessive sun exposure, smoking, and dehydration. Additionally, stress and genetics can also contribute to this issue. To improve the condition of your skin, it is advisable to apply sunscreen every day, drink plenty of water, eat a balanced diet, and quit smoking. Using mild cleansers along with moisturizers can help maintain a healthy complexion.

25 year old men, i have bumps on my penis, top left part, seems like herpes, im not sure, my groing is itching

Male | 25

Lumps that develop near the penis may be caused by several factors. They may be herpes if they're either tender or similar to blisters. Moreover, among other signs, you might also experience some irritation in the groin. Herpes is an infectious virus that can be transmitted from one individual to another through sexual intercourse. However, to make sure, it is better to visit your healthcare provider and undergo the necessary tests. Proper medication and expert advice are necessary for the prevention and care of it.

Looks like you got a wound in your left leg that’s swollen and itchy. Swelling and itching can occur when the body is healing a wound. It might be infected or irritated. Hello sir /ma'am From the past 3 months i was using elosone ht skin cream over my knee areas, because of the sun exposure my knee became very dark and they were looking very odd. That's why i was using it in my knee areas only, also it was having visible results. 4 5 days back i saw my knees and suddenly i was in shock. My knees are looking very scary. The area where i use to apply the cream the whole area is covered with a dark patch which is 2x darker than before i had. Please help me it is looking very scary and i can't even wear shorts due to this.

Female | 18

The cream you were using might have led to the development of a skin condition known as skin atrophy which causes the skin to become thin and darker. This can occur if certain steroid creams are applied for an extended duration on sensitive areas like the knees. It's vital to discontinue the cream instantly and see a dermatologist for a thorough examination and advice on how to improve the skin condition.

I took out my infected medusa piercing thinking that would be for the best but turns out its not. What do I do?

Female | 23

infected piercings are common, removing jewelry may cause ABSCESS FORMATION.. Clean the area gently with SALINE WATER and apply an antibiotic cream.. Keep it dry and avoid touching it with dirty hands.. Do not reinsert the jewelry until COMPLETELY HEALED.. Seek medical help if symptoms worsen..
