Why do I have side pain and fever?
Pain in theth a side and fever
Surgical Gastroenterologist
Answered on 21st Oct '24
You're having chest pain on one side along with a fever. Pneumonia or muscle strain is one of the causes. The most important thing is to take it easy, drink lots of fluids, and take some over-the-counter medications such as acetaminophen. If the pain and fever continue to worsen, see a gastroenterologist.

Ulcerative colitis flare up or stomach bug?
Female | 18
Sometimes flare-ups of ulcerative colitis and stomach bugs show the same symptoms, such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, and cramps. However, a stomach bug is usually a short-lived infection that may disappear on its own while ulcerative colitis is a chronic condition that needs medical intervention. Visit a gastroenterologist who can effectively make a diagnosis and prescribe treatment.

It seems you have a food problem. You may feel full fast after you eat. Your tummy may expand. You may feel bad in your gut. Eat small meals slowly. Do not eat spicy foods. Do not drink too much coffee or booze. Do not lie down right after you eat. If you still don't feel better, go see a gastroenterologist.

I have had stomach pain for the past 3 months. Always after eating. Usually twice a week. I have stopped coffee and dairy and the pain is still going on. I am 6 months postpartum and have never had this issue until after pregnancy.

Gas formation, bloating heaviness after meal ie. Post meal fullness.please suggest remedy.
Male | 65
It looks like you're experiencing gas, bloating, and a feeling of fullness after eating. This could be due to eating too quickly, swallowing air, or consuming foods that are hard to digest. To reduce these symptoms, try eating more slowly, avoid fizzy drinks, and include probiotic foods like yogurt in your diet. Drinking peppermint tea might also help soothe your stomach.

Female | 23
Different things such as indigestion, gastritis, or infections can cause stomach pains. When you go back to your doctor this time you let the doctor know that what they gave you last time did not work. The doctor might need to run more tests so they can find out what’s happening and give you something that’ll make you feel better.

i have a headache and diarrhea and my stomach and intestines hurt and I threw up 6 times in 2 days what could this be?
Male | 16
You might be suffering from a stomach bug. A tummy bug usually causes headaches, tummy aches, vomiting, and diarrhea. Gut infection often strikes because of germs or parasites. It's simple to stay put, drink plenty of water, and choose foods which are easy on your system like toast or crackers. When you feel nothing is getting better, visit a gastroenterologist.

I have been pooping for about 2 weeks, yellow and sludge like stool. As soon as I eat, I feel the urge to poop. This started after I ate canned food from the store which was spicy. I previously know my stomach does not allow for spicy food without negative reaction, but this feels extreme. I had iron deficiency before, I took tablets and it normalised. My scalp hair growth has slowed, losing weight. I have not added a lot of vegetables to my diet.
Male | 27
You possibly have gastritis, an inflamed stomach lining. Eating spicy or canned foods worsens it. Yellow, sludge-like stools signal this condition. Frequent urges to poop after meals are common symptoms. Iron deficiency may be linked to it as well. Try cutting spicy foods, eating more veggies, and drinking lots of water. Consult a gastroenterologist if issues persist.

I take Aciclovir dispersible tablet approx 1 week & due to this there have arise a problem that .... there is pain in my stomach & also cause weakness arise
Female | 21
Aciclovir dispersible tablets could cause stomach aches. You might feel weak too. That's because the tablets irritate your stomach lining sometimes. Take them with food to avoid irritation. Drink lots of water. Eat small, mild meals. This helps with the weakness. If stomach pain or weakness continues, talk to a gastroenterologist.

Dealing with not feeling all empty after going to the bathroom and tummy troubles, I get it. Irritable bowel syndrome, or IBS for short, commonly brings these issues. It's a lasting condition needing ongoing care. Cutting out things that trigger it like dairy, spicy eats, and caffeinated drinks might provide relief. Staying active regularly also helps manage symptoms. Don't forget to drink plenty of fluids and de-stress, as these can worsen IBS.

Female | 44
The backaches and stomach aches could be a result of many things such as bad sitting positions, and gastrointestinal problems among others not limited to tension. She must keep an eye on these aspects considering her surgical history and even consult a gastroenterologist concerning them. Additionally, to keep off other illnesses she should eat healthy foods, involve herself in physical exercises frequently, regulate stress as well as go for check-ups more often than not.

Female | 22
The signs you mentioned suggest you are experiencing gastric distress, which happens when the stomach can't process food properly. This often leads to gas buildup and causes discomfort. It's not related to a lack of vitamins. Try eating smaller portions, avoid spicy and oily foods, and chew your food slowly. Drinking a glass of warm water can also help you feel better.
