Answered on 11th June '24
Periods often come late for different reasons and one of them is stress. Anything from changes in routine to doing more exercises than usual can lead to this. If you are sexually active but are using protection, it means that you are not pregnant. Keep track of your cycle and if it extends beyond a few weeks, take a pregnancy test or consult with a gynecologist for further direction.

I had laporatomy surgery for ileum herniation in 2013 and i have a vertical midline incision in this surgery. Now is it safe to become a pregnant
Female | 25
A laparotomy surgery is a procedure used for the repair of an ileum hernia. Therefore, the situation when a woman who has had surgery of this nature becomes pregnant is not entirely clear. However, the vertical midline incision from your surgery may cause some complications during pregnancy, such as the risk of the incision opening up. You should bring up the subject of conceiving a child with your gynecologist so that they can track you and advise you during the period.

It's perfectly natural to be stressed about your overdue periods. They may be late due to stress, routine changes, or hormonal imbalances. There could be other causes such as too much exercise, sudden weight changes, or serious health problems. If your period doesn't show up in the next week or two, it would be wise to visit a gynecologist.

You have been experiencing low burning, and discharging clear, whitish-yellow which are the likely symptoms of yeast infection or bacterial vaginosis that you have because of candida the yeast that naturally resides in the vagina or bacteria. Moreover, the itching and burning might be because of carrying microorganisms that might be harmful. Water is essential, and you should visit a gynecologist for the best treatment.

Periods delayed , had unsafe sex after that I took unwanted 72 but still periods delayed by 3 days
Female | 24
Notably, some factors that can delay periods include unprotected intercourse, use of morning-after pills like Unwanted 72, stress, weight changes, or hormonal imbalances. Missing a few days of your cycle occasionally is quite normal. If you are worried, wait another day or two; it might come. If it doesn't show up, wait a bit longer before taking a home pregnancy test to be sure. If the result is positive, you should talk to a gynecologist.

I am diagnosed with PCOD. Dr suggested me to take meprate for 5 days and wait for the next 7 days for withdrawal bleeding. Still if it doesn't happen, then take diane 35. It's my 10 day today, should I take diane 35 now? Or should I see another doctor? Please help me
Female | 17
Listening to your doctor is crucial for PCOD management. Meprate induces withdrawal bleeding, helping regulate your periods. After 7 days, if bleeding doesn't start, Diane 35 might be prescribed. On day 10, begin Diane was 35 as per the doctor's advice.

Period symptoms don’t usually include stomach aches, but it seems that’s what you’re going through. Weakness, dizziness, and fatigue may be low iron in the blood or hormonal changes. Ensure you take a healthy diet consisting of green leafy vegetables and fruits. Apart from that, drink enough water and have a good sleep. Should these symptoms persist, seeking medical attention for further investigation is vital.

I'm 18 old female. Last month I had my period and at the same time I had fever so the doctor gave me medications and injection for fever, that time I had light periods. After stopping the medicines, I had bleeding for 3 days which soaked half of the pad. So I took meprate for 23days as one of my doctors advised me. Since 2 days I am not having the meprate tablet and experiencing symptoms like cramps, headache, nausea, bloating. Also I had protected sex 6 weeks ago, but we are sure that he did not inseminate. Im worried about my health, I'm facing pregnancy symptoms but I don't think I'm a pregnant. I was also diagnosed with pcod 1year ago.
Female | 18
Your symptoms, such as cramps, headaches, nausea, and bloating, could have various causes. The bleeding after stopping Meprate might be related to your PCOD. Since you had protected sex, pregnancy is unlikely if there was no insemination. Take care of yourself, stay hydrated, and if your symptoms persist, consider discussing them with gynecologist.

Actually my cycle last period start on 20 th August and end on 25 th August what is my ovulation date plz answer me????
Female | 19
By assuming a standard ovulation cycle of 28 days, ovulation occurs at the time of the next period which is 14 days prior to the period. Thus, your last period began on August 20th, hence you are likely to ovulate on or around September 3rd. Some indications of ovulation are differences in the thickness of cervical mucus, slight abdominal pain, and a rise in basal body temperature. You can also use ovulation predictor kits to check for ovulation.

I am a 17 year old female and I had been diagnosed with vaginal yeast infection 2 years back. Since then it has never completely gone away. I have taken medications including Itraconozole and antibiotics for possible bacterial vaginosis, on the prescription of my doctor, but nothing seems to work. My vagina is so itchy to the point that I create wounds from itching so much. My vaginal discharge is thick, clumpy and yellowish-white. I'm so helpless. What should I do?
Female | 17
Itching, thick discharge, no relief from medication - these could signal a stubborn yeast infection persisting despite treatment. Avoid scented products down there; they may aggravate irritation. Let's try antifungal creams formulated for yeast infections. If that doesn't help, seeing a gynecologist would be wise for proper evaluation and appropriate treatment.

Male | 24
Women's cycles can get thrown off occasionally - sex is rarely the only factor. Perhaps your wife's body is running late this month. Stress, trips, weight fluctuations, or hormone imbalances could be delaying her period too. If she isn't pregnant and it keeps being late, it's wise to see a gynecologist and get checked out just to be safe.

My menstrual period is late. I also use combination pills for last month. I take a pregnancy test it shows negative . Why my period is late
Female | 31
When you start taking combination contraceptive pills, your body may need time to adjust. This temporary phase could delay your period. Factors like stress, illness, or changes in body weight can also affect menstrual timing. If your pregnancy test is negative, it's likely just a temporary irregularity. Keep track of your cycle and consult a gynecologist if the delay continues.

Hello, I want to know about my periods not coming. So last month Jan 2024, I engaged in unprotected intercourse roughly a week before my actual period dates then took an iPill. After few days yes my normal periods did come which was 28th January. Now February 2024 is gone and I haven't got my periods for this month
Female | 23
Missing your period may seem concerning, but it happens sometimes. The iPill can affect menstrual cycles. Reasons include stress, hormones, or being pregnant. Look for tiredness and nausea - they could signal pregnancy. Taking a test gives clarity.

I am 27 years old, i wanna conceive but periods came. How I will conceive and regularize menstrual cycle?
Female | 27
Irregularity in periods, no periods, or abnormal bleeding which indicates that you are not ovulating and condition is clinically defined as anovulation.
Even though anovulation is usually be treated with drugs for inducing fertilization, it is vital to evaluate any additional conditions that can affect ovulation, like thyroid conditions or abnormalities of the adrenal or pituitary glands.
On ruling out other medical conditions, fertility drugs will be prescribed by your Gynaecologist to induce ovulation.
Drugs containing Clomid and Clomiphene are considered as first choice due to its effectiveness and are prescribed to women for years. In comparison to other infertility medications, they have the advantage to be taken orally instead of injection. It is used to induce and regularize irregular ovulation by increase in pick-up rate of egg by ovaries. Another drug named Letrozole is used for inducing ovulation.
Certain fertility inducers can make the cervical mucus hostile to sperm and as a result keep the sperm from reaching the uterus. In such cases, artificial or intrauterine insemination (IUI) is performed (injecting specially prepared sperm directly into the uterus -- to fertilize the egg) which also thins the endometrial lining.
Super-ovulation drugs such as Gonal-F or injectable hormones which are responsible for stimulating follicles and egg development are prescribed by your Gynaecologist, depending on your situation.
