I wanna talk about chest infection
Male | 55
A chest infection happens when germs enter the lungs. Breathing becomes difficult. You might cough constantly, feel short of breath, and experience chest discomfort. Viruses or bacteria frequently cause this condition. To alleviate symptoms, get plenty of rest, drink water regularly, and use a humidifier. Additionally, inhaling steam or taking warm showers can provide relief. However, if symptoms worsen, it's crucial to seek medical attention from a pulmonologist.

My granddaughter had a slight fever and a cough sense yesterday. The fever is gone but the cough is still there. I gave her some cough drops which didn’t work. Her cough became more consistent. Her mother gave her Tussin, a cheaper version of Robitussin. Now she’s vomiting. Is this a sign of Whooping Cough? She’s 7 years old
Female | 7
This typically occurs when a person coughs so much, it makes them sick to their stomach. In children, particularly in toddlers, this can be alarming. It is an infectious disease characterized by coughs that produce a “whooping” sound. It is caused by bacteria and affects the respiratory system. If left untreated or not properly managed, it can cause serious complications, especially in young kids.

I’m on a medication that causes hyperkalemia if I take NSAIDs with it. I have very high inflammation, Doctors have prescribed Naproxen, Ibuprofen, Toradol and Meloxicam. They all made me ill for days. Is there any medication for inflammation that won’t interact with Hyperkalemia?
Female | 39
You are having’ medications that are causing issues with your potassium levels. You need to avoid NSAIDs such as Naproxen, Ibuprofen, Toradol, and Meloxicam because they can aggravate your high potassium levels. My boyfriend (age 27) has had this all day every day hacking/throat clearing cough with mucus since January... I've been begging him since to get it checked. He waited 4 months until April & finally went. Well, the chest x-ray came back clear. But then why is he still coughing?? I'm exhausted of this, not knowing what it is, but hearing it all day every day, anxious beyond belief while he claims he's "fine" when it's not normal.
Male | 27
Even though his chest Xray came back clear, ruling out obvious lung abnormalities or infections. STill other causes like allergies, postnasal drip, GERD, asthma, or chronic bronchitis could still be responsible. Encourage him to follow up with a medical professional for further evaluation and testing to identify the underlying cause of his symptoms. Taking his cough seriously and seeking medical attention is important for appropriate treatment and relief.

You are having hard moments with cough and chest pressure. These symptoms are the most common and may be triggered by the flu, common cold, or allergic reactions. They can also cause ear pain or a feeling of fullness due to the dryer air in the cabin. Before you can fly again or think of travel, you should prioritize a healthy and safe life. With resting, make the best of the situation by drinking more water and using a humidifier to relieve congestion.
