It's important to inform your healthcare provider about any medications you're taking, especially antibiotics like flucloxacillin and ampicillin, as they may affect the results of your chest scan. Your doctor will advise you on whether it's safe to proceed with the scan while on these medications, considering your current health condition. Always follow your doctor's guidance regarding medical procedures.

This can cause symptoms such as coughing, chest pains, and coughing up blood. Persons under TB medication are not encouraged to use creatine or whey proteins since it alter how the body responds to the drugs. These symptoms, along with yellow phlegm with a foul smell, could indicate a lung infection or pneumonia. Both viruses and bacteria can cause these issues. The last 3 nights I have woken up choking for air. I'm really scared this night be sleep apnea although my symptoms are more like acid reflux. I'm 38 and very slim. Do you think this is a low chance?
Female | 38
At 20 and 130 pounds, sleep apnea is less likely but possible. However, acid reflux can cause similar choking feelings. Reflux happens when stomach acid backs up into the food pipe. To help: avoid heavy, spicy meals before bed. Raise the head of your bed. Eat smaller meals during the day. Talk to a pulmonologist if you're still concerned.

Hi, I have put aquaphor in my nose for 2 years every night. I have recently stopped but wanted to know if I have it in my lungs i am really worried about it.
Female | 17
Aquaphor should not be your only treatment for nose dryness as it is not intended for long-term use. If you had it in your lungs, you could have a cough, shortness of breath, or pain in your chest. If you notice any of these symptoms, it is wise to visit a pulmonologist. They will be able to check your lungs and give you the correct treatment.

This is actually about my mother. 5 days ago, she started having these flu-like symptoms; coughing, extreme fatigue, phlegm, wheezing, headache, chills, and fever. The fever is now gone, but she still has all the other symptoms. She had a chest x-ray that came back perfectly fine, and tested negative for COVID, so it’s not that. She hasn’t really improved, but she hasn’t gotten worse either. Could this be the flu?
Female | 68
The best thing you can do is make your mother rest, take a lot of fluids, and use drugs that can relieve her of any symptoms that are associated with over-the-counter. Make sure she takes syrup, water, tea, etc. to keep herself hydrated especially since she might not have much desire for them due to coughs being experienced hence causing dry throat. Please visit a pulmonologist for further treatment.
