If you feel that you /the patient is not getting the right treatment, then you can get them/yourself transferred to another hospital, preferably located in metropolitan cities of India. You can look for treatment in Delhi, Mumbai or Hyderabad and you can be sure of the availability of treatment options, the quality or treatment and the experience of doctors, you can find many hospitals on our page - Cancer Hospitals in India. Here are some of government hospitals you can consider for your stage IV mouth cancer, as they are affordable:

  • Delhi:
  1. All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) (Government Hospital)
  2. Delhi State Cancer Institute (DSCI) (Government Hospital)
  • Mumbai:
  1. Tata Memorial Hospital (Government Hospital)
  2. Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) (Government Hospital)
  • Hyderabad:
  1. Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital and Research Institute (Charitable Hospital)
  2. Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (Government Hospital)

Hope my answer helps you.

can cervical cancer cause b12 deficiency?

Female | 44

No, cervical cancer does not directly cause B12 deficiency. However, some cancer treatments, such as chemotherapy, may affect the absorption of vitamin B12 in the body, leading to a deficiency. It is important to monitor B12 levels in cancer patients undergoing treatment and supplement as necessary to prevent deficiency.

Male | 43

The growth rate of sarcomas depends on the grade. A low grade sarcoma is a slow growing Tumor which may take even an year to reach 5cm or less. On the other hand, a high grade sarcoma not only increases rapidly in size, it can also spread to other organs, like lung, very fast

My brother has liver tumor he went through surgery but doctors said there is small amount of tumor left which cant be removed through surgery.my question is will it be removed by radiation therapy/chemotherapy?

Male | 19

Radiation therapy and chemotherapy are treatment options that can help shrink liver tumors. But the effectiveness of these treatments depends on various factors such as the size and location of the remaining tumor, and the overall health of the patient. It is best to consult with an oncologist to determine the most appropriate course of treatment for your brother's condition.

How fast does throat cancer progress? I want to know if the aggressive nature of this cancer deteriorates the overall quality of life?

You first need to get evaluated by an oncologist. Let him decide the stage of cancer, type of cancer and start treatment accordingly. Right treatment on right time helps to heal and also improves quality of life. The treatment for throat cancer largely depends on the size of the cancer, stage of cancer, age of patient, his overall health.

The main treatments are radiotherapy, surgery and chemotherapy. The patient will need a team of specialists. Post-surgery speech therapist, dietician will also have a role in recovery along with medical line of treatment. Consult an oncologist. Hope our answer helps you.
