Please I had my last menstruation on 31 march so when I'm I to expect it in May
Gynecologist
Answered on 23rd May '24
The average menstrual cycle is around 28 to 30 days, but it can vary from person to person. If your last menstruation was on March 31, and if you have a typical 28-30 day cycle, you might expect your next period sometime between April 28 and May 1. However, the cycles can be irregular for various reasons. Consult your gynecologist for proper diagnosis & treatment.

I had sex on 16 and 17 of February and taken ipill on 17 and then on 26 I have stated to have cramps and had sex on 26 and then I was facing light cramps my date of periods is 5 of March but not getting cramps now
Female | 17
The cramps could be caused by hormone fluctuations, uterus muscle contractions, or anxiety. Since your period is nearing, these cramps may be pre-menstrual discomfort. That's great the cramps have subsided. However, if concerns persist or cramps intensify, consulting a gynecologist would be prudent.

I have recently had unprotected sex thrice. I also consumed ipill all those times the next morning itself. The last time I had unprotected sex was on 15th May and ipill on 16th may morning. Past 2-3 days I have been getting very bad cramps in my lower abdomen and I'm bleeding (spotting) blood clots. I have PCOD and I do not get my periods. I get it very rarely, twice or thrice in a year. I don't remember my last period date. Are these the side effects of the ipill or are there any chances of pregnancy/miscarriage?
Female | 23
The cramps and bleeding with blood clots might be caused by the ipill. It can change menstrual bleeding at times. However, because your periods are irregular and you have polycystic ovarian syndrome, other possible reasons should not be left out. These signs could also result from hormonal variations or maybe pregnancy is on the way. See a gynecologist who will help find out what these mean.

I have the implant in my arm , I take regular periods but have not took once since January , I have really bad cramping but no period
Female | 28
Our bodies can act differently sometimes, which is important to notice. For some people, not having periods while using the implant is normal. But cramping without a period might signal something else. Stress, hormones changing, or medical issues could cause it. It's common, so don't worry too much. You can talk to a gynecologist.

I had emergency pill yesterday and I had sex today. Should I take emergency pill again?
Female | 20
Worry not, I get your concern! But taking the emergency pill repeatedly isn't wise. These pills work optimally when taken shortly after unprotected intimacy. Remember, they don't shield against future pregnancies. If pregnancy fears linger, consider consistent birth control methods. Consult a gynecologist if any unusual symptoms arise.

Female | 15
It is common to worry when your first sexual intercourse is not on time. It may be a bit late due to stress, weight gain hormonal imbalance, etc. If you think that you might be pregnant then do a pregnancy test to calm down yourself. Remember that every time one should use a condom during sex to avoid pregnancy and getting infections like HIV.

A menstrual cycle that lasts 17 days can be a sign of an underlying medical problem, including hormonal changes as well as polyps or fibroids. Visiting a gynecologist to know the origin and get a treatment is a must.

My last LMP ON 06/02/24. We did intercourse on 23,25,28 of February. Is there any chance of pregnancy
Female | 33
Your previous monthly cycle commenced 06/02/24. During February, intimate relations occurred on the 23rd, 25th, and 28th days. Conception likelihood peaks near ovulation, typically 14 days before menstruation's onset. Indicative signs may manifest missed period, queasiness, weariness, tender breasts. If pregnancy suspicion arises, an at-home test can provide confirmation.

Can we become pregnant of we had unprotected sex during periods and if we are on 1st day of our period
Female | 19
Having unprotected sex during menstruation, notably on the initial day, decreases the likelihood of pregnancy. This timeframe is generally regarded as the safest period for avoiding conception. You can seek advice from a gynecologist if you have any more queries.

Hii there i am 24 year old female. I had unprotedted sex with my partner and after that i took contraceptive pill then after that i had again unprotected sex…..and my period is statt in 2 days i wanted to know i m not gonna get preagnant right. I am safe????
Female | 24
The pill is good at preventing pregnancy, but it's not 100 % effective. If you're going to get your period in 2 days, the chances for you to get pregnant are lower now, still, it is a small chance. If there is any worry, you can do a pregnancy test after your period to make sure you're not pregnant.

I am 20 years old famale. I want to find out if am pregnant. I am suppose to have my periods two days ago now I haven't started therefore I am very worried because I had dry sex with my boyfriend
Female | 20
I’m glad you’re seeking advice. There could be a few reasons for symptoms like a missed period after dry humping. Stress, hormonal changes, and irregular menstrual cycles are all common culprits. If you want to find out whether or not you are pregnant, take a pregnancy test at home. Taking the test will provide you with a definite answer and ease your mind.

Hi, I'm 27+ years old and a mom of a 1year. I have been facing "Irregular Periods". From past 3months I used to get my periods 2days after the expected date. Last periods: Feb 8th 2024. This month, March I had to get my periods on 11th but it's delayed by 5days now. I have been experiencing severe lower abdomen pain like periods cramp pain from 3days but not a sign of periods bleeding. I don't think I'm pregnant. Also my sleep cycle is a bit deprived, recent stress and also travelled to a hot climate place recently.
Female | 27
Your menstrual cycle issues, with painful cramps and anxiety, could be linked. Sleep disruptions and travel can affect periods too. Stress and lifestyle shifts sometimes delay periods. Take it easy, sleep well, and drink fluids. If the pain doesn't go away or you have other worries, talk to a gynecologist for advice.

Hi im jessica 25 years old i have a pcod problem and im married 8 months ago i missed my periods I checked with pregnancy kit its showing faint line
Female | 25
In the case of PCOD, it's not rare to have irregular periods. If your pregnancy test shows a faint line, this could be an indication that you are pregnant but to be sure visit a gynecologist. Irregular periods, weight gain, and acne are some of the symptoms of PCOD. A balanced diet, exercise, and a healthy lifestyle are helpful in managing PCOD.

Hi - I am currently pregnant and need a clarity on my conception date. To give a bit of background- I was on combined contraceptive pills (Ovranette) until 9th of March, when I came off it after finishing a pill pack. I got my withdrawal bleeding on 12th March(which I consider as the first day of myLMP) I tested positive for pregnancy on 11th April when my periods didn’t arrive. I had two ultrasound scan so far - one on 2nd May when the gestation age was measured as 7 weeks 2 days as per ultrasound and the second one on 9th May when the gestation age was measured as 8 weeks 2 days as per ultrasound. Since I conceived the next month after coming off pill, I need some clarity on when did the conception happen. I had 2 times sexual intercourse during this time - one on 12th March (couple of hours before commencing my withdrawal bleeding) and the next one on 23rd March - would like to know which intercourse has resulted in the pregnancy
Female | 32
According to what you’ve said it’s more likely that the sexual intercourse on 23rd March caused your pregnancy. Typically, a pregnancy test becomes positive about 4 weeks after conception which matches the dates. Having taken the pill, you can easily mistake withdrawal bleeding for your normal period. Some symptoms such as positive pregnancy tests and ultrasound findings indicate that it happened after 12th March. The best thing to do now is keep seeing a gynecologist.

I am in fourth month of pregnancy. Sometimes I feel a lump like thing in my abdomen which goes with time. It's a hard structure which moves and gradually disappears
Female | 29
Your belly tightening is likely a Braxton Hicks contraction. These tightenings start your body preparing for birth. It happens when your abdomen contracts, and then relaxes. Braxton Hicks can begin during pregnancy's fourth month. Although normal, ensure you stay hydrated, and rest if needed. If discomfort persists or intensifies, inform your gynecologist.
