Answered on 2nd Aug '24
Presently, stem cell dental implants are being investigated. This is why they are not currently widely available as a treatment method. It is vital to keep in mind that conventional dental implants are frequently used and are usually successful in replacing missing teeth. If you are anxious about missing teeth, you should see your dentist for advice on treatment options that are most suitable for you.

Female | 21
As a result of the tissue injury when you bite your lip, blisters can develop. Besides, the region might even swell up to develop a fat lip. If after several days, the blister or swelling does not subside, and you have sustained consistent pain then it is advisable to see a dental specialist for diagnosis and treatment.

My son accidentally swallows a bipilac tablet
Male | 13
If your little boy has swallowed a Bipilac tablet by mistake, don't panic. The most frequent symptoms of ingestion are upset stomach and perhaps some vomiting or diarrhea. The reason for this is that the stomach doesn’t like the pill. To make him feel better, make sure he drinks plenty of water and keep an eye on him constantly. It’s important to observe any strange behavior in your child and if there is any, call your local poison control centre at once.

There is a lot of pain in the right side of the tongue. I feel a lot of pain when I put my finger on the painful area. B: D: I smoke cigarettes for a long time.
Male | 20
A sore on your tongue is common when smoking cigarettes. The smoke irritates the delicate mouth tissues, causing painful spots. Spicy, hot foods irritate further; try rinsing with warm saltwater. If pain persists beyond a few days, it's wise to consult a dentist for examination.

Can tooth decay be reversed?
Female | 39
The short answer is “no” but the long answer is “sort of.” Here’s why:
The earliest stage of tooth decay or a cavity is demineralized enamel. The outer layer of enamel becomes weak and soft, due to acids and plaque biofilm coming into contact with it on an extended basis.
Fortunately, demineralized enamel can — to an extent — be remineralized before a physical cavity (hole) ruptures through the surface.
What are some ways to help this happen?
- Improved hygiene and plaque removal on an everyday basis
- Protective dental sealants over deep grooves and fissures, which are someof the most cavity-prone surfaces
- Drinking fluoridated tap water throughout the day
- Supplementation with a prescription strength fluoride or mouthrinse, providedby your dentist
- Use of everyday oral hygiene products that contain fluoride
- Eating more fresh fruits and vegetables, sharp cheddar cheese, and fewerprocessed carbohydrates
- Eliminating acidic beverages and those that contain natural or artificial-sweeteners
The types of cells that make up your teeth do not re-grow or repair themselves after the tooth is fully developed.
Once a tooth has a physical cavity (opening or hole) inside of it, there is no feasible way to help the enamel grow back on your own. Instead, the cavity will gradually worsen, due to the bacterial infection inside of the tooth structure.
Ideally, you would want to treat the cavity as soon as it’s diagnosed and while it’s as small as possible. When you do, your dentist can place a minimally invasive filling and preserve as much healthy tooth structure as possible.
But untreated cavities will expand to the point that they require larger fillings. Or worse, they will reach into the nerve chamber and create an abscess. What could have initially been treated with a modest restoration now becomes a situation requiring a root canal and a crown

Mere muhh me dard hai mere daat ke niche masudo me fulsi ho gayi hai
Male | 28
You may have a gum abscess, a “pocket” filled with yellow or white-colored fluid beneath the gums. Poor dental hygiene, periodontal disease, and bacterial infection can cause this condition. Its symptoms include pain, swelling, redness, and general discomfort. To relieve the pain and reduce the inflammation, you can rinse your mouth with warm salty water and see a dentist immediately.

How to manage discomfort during the healing process after dental extraction?
Other | 24
Cold compresses are an effective way to deal with the discomfort that comes along with healing after a dental extraction. Apply a cold compress to the affected area for 10-20 minutes every hour for the first 24-48 hours. Next, put a warm compress in place. Make an effort to stay away from any solid food and use hot beverages, instead, on the first days go for softer foods and cold drinks. If the pain doesn’t go away or gets worse, do not hesitate and visit your dentist or oral surgeon immediately.

Male | 20
Frequent mouth ulcers and burning sensations in your legs and feet can be concerning. Mouth ulcers every 15 days might indicate a deficiency or an underlying health issue while burning feet could be a sign of neuropathy. Please consult a dentist for your mouth ulcers and a neurologist for the burning sensation in your legs and feet.

I am 19 year old female and I my gums are becoming quite soft and aching since 3,4 days and I have ulcers in my thorat and tongue...suggest me what to do?
Female | 19
You could have gingivitis. When your gums are red, swollen and bleed easily it is called gingivitis. Plaque builds up on the teeth and causes this. The sores on your throat and tongue may be due to infection. To relieve symptoms make sure that you brush and floss gently but often; use mild antiseptic mouthwash as well. Drink lots of water too so that spicy or acidic food does not irritate the mouth any further. Visit a dentist if there is still no change in the condition.

Infection in teeth which is causing pain
Male | 14
It looks like you may have a tooth infection. This could be why you’re in pain. Bacteria can cause tooth infections when they enter a cavity or crack in the tooth. If the gum is swollen too, it might mean that there is an infection. The dentist will have to clean out your tooth to get rid of this problem and may also give you some antibiotics.
