I am 21 years old, and I’ve been having an itch in my vagina but it’s not regular. I just realized now that my discharge is yellow but it doesn’t smell bad. What type of infection is this?
Female | 21
A yeast infection might be causing your symptoms. Itching and yellow discharge are signs. Moisture, tight clothing, antibiotics – these can lead to yeast infections. Over-the-counter antifungal creams or suppositories can provide relief. But if symptoms persist, see a gynecologist.

I had unprotected sex and took emergency contraceptives on the same day but my periods are 4 days late could I be pregnant?
Female | 19
Emergency contraceptives are effective in preventing pregnancy, but they're not 100% guaranteed. It's common for periods to be delayed after taking them. However, if you're concerned about pregnancy, it's best to consult a gynecologist for proper evaluation and guidance.

Female | 43
Women may undergo variations in the menstrual cycle but if you are experiencing periods after a short time it is an indication of some other underlying problem. For further evaluation and diagnosis, I would suggest consulting a gynecologist. They will be able to administer treatments that are specifically tailored for your condition.

Last month my period date was 25feb this month till now I have not period and my pregnancy test is also negative.
Female | 24
Your period being late is an ordinary occurrence! There are times when stress and routine changes disrupt the cycle. If your pregnancy test turns negative without other symptoms, don't fret - it's likely normal. Wait a couple more weeks; if your period still hasn't arrived by then, consulting a gynecologist might be wise.

I have a miscarriage and have been passing on the blood did I need any drug to take
Female | 33
It is usual to pass blood after a miscarriage since the body expels pregnancy parts. Expect to have cramping and heavy bleeding. Ensure that you rest and take plenty of fluids. Painkillers may be necessary if you are in pain. Reach out to your gynecologist in case of severe pain or if the bleeding is too much.

I am a 22 year old female. I am pregnant with my first baby. I'm in my first trimester, week 5 and 1 day. I just want to know is cramping normal?
Female | 22
Cramps in early pregnancy are usual, specifically during the initial trimester. Major bodily shifts occur, making space for the baby, causing mild crampiness. You may also experience bloating or slight spotting. Stay hydrated and restful. However, if severe cramps or heavy bleeding arise, consult your gynecologist.

The situation is that the patient came to the doctor to change the Mirena spiral. The IUD Mirena was recommended by the attending gynecologist after surgery to remove an ovarian cyst and polyp. Diagnosis: adenomyosis (before surgery, the patient complained of heavy, non-painful menstrual bleeding). The first spiral lasted 5 years without problems. The gynecologist introduced a new IUD without first removing the old one. In connection with this situation, I have some questions. I would be grateful for your professional opinion. 1. Is it possible to correctly install the Mirena coil into the uterine cavity if the previous coil was not removed? 2. What side effects can be caused by the simultaneous presence of hormonal IUDs (two sterile foreign bodies) in the uterus. Could this cause health problems and harm to the patient? 3. How can one explain the symptoms that arose after the installation of the second Mirena, such as pain in the lower abdomen, lower back and excessive menstrual bleeding?
Female | 40
I would recommend that the new coil should not be inserted until the old one removed. This can result in problems such as perforation or infection. The presence of two hormonal IUDs in the uterus may cause hormonal imbalance and the risks of side effects. To treat the symptoms of lower abdominal pain, lower back pain, and heavy menstrual bleeding, consultation with a gynecologist who is an adenomyosis specialist is recommended.

Hello! I just had a question cause I can't find a clear answer. I'm 16 and me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex two nights in a row while I was on my period both times. Both times being the 2nd and 3rd day of my period. He didn't ejaculate in me but would I get pregnant from pre-cum though I have me period?
Female | 16
You can get pregnant during periods. It needs to be highlighted that it is possible for pre-cum to bear sperm so that is why the possibility is very low. If you are pregnant, you may see symptoms such as nausea, and painful breasts. It could be down to missing your period and simple diseases like nausea and breast tenderness can be the first sign.

The bleeding can be a result of the hormonal imbalance that is triggered by the pills. The side effects you are experiencing are also common. One must keep an eye on the bleeding and at the same time drink enough water. If the bleeding continues or worsens, it is important to get medical help from a gynecologist to ensure everything is fine.

I have taken emergency pill yesterday and today i noticed white creamy discharge do i have to worry about this?
Female | 17
It is a common side effect of the emergency pill and its likely a normal vaginal discharge that occurs due to hormonal fluctuations. It's mostly similar to the discharge experienced during the normal menstrual cycle.

I want to ask about my periods
Female | 20
Menstruation is a natural process that happens when the lining of the uterus is purged every month. At the same time, though, if you have unusually heavy bleeding or cramps that make your regular activities difficult, it is advisable to see a doctor. I recommend that you see a gynecologist, who is a specialist who deals with women's reproductive health issues.

In the case of PCOD, it's not rare to have irregular periods. If your pregnancy test shows a faint line, this could be an indication that you are pregnant but to be sure visit a gynecologist. Irregular periods, weight gain, and acne are some of the symptoms of PCOD. A balanced diet, exercise, and a healthy lifestyle are helpful in managing PCOD.
