Hair transplant surgery will cost Rs.25 to Rs.45 per graft, with each graft containing 1 to 3 hair follicles, same varies depending on the technique of hair transplant used and infrastructure of clinic as well as experience of doctors, whereas number of grafts will be determined by the dermatologist based on your level of baldness. Therefore the overall hair transplant price can be between Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 1,00,000. You can read more on our blog - Cost of Hair Transplant in India.

Any hyperpigmentation not responding to creams has to be reviewed. Skin biopsy may be needed to understand the condition and treat accordingly. Sometimes oral medications may also be necessary along with procedural treatments like chemical peels, qsyag laser etc may be needed to get rid of the pigmentation once the diagnosis is established. Understanding the cause and making a proper diagnosis is essential to resolve the hyper pigmentation. For more information please visit dermatologist near you.

It could be for any of the following reasons:

  • Hand eczema: Caused by exposure to harmful chemicals and moisture, here you may see cracks, redness, dryness and sometimes blistering too.
  • Contact dermatitis: If your itchiness is caused as a result of allergic reactions, it should resolve within in 48-96 hours. But then you would have to identify irritants in order to avoid them.
  • Diabetes indication: like if it damages your nerves, or liver and kidney, or if you develop an allergic reaction to medicines.
  • Cirrhosis: This condition primarily affects bile, and as a symptom of it you can experience itching, but then you will also experience following symptoms: bone pain, nausea, diarrhea, dark urine and jaundice.
  • Nerve disorder: here you have itchy palms at night mostly in the initial days.

Changes in skin color, redness, scabbing, swelling, scarring, skin infection, or damage of liver, heart and kidney, are some of the risks that you can run into. Which is why a doctor will always review your medical history, health conditions and skin conditions, along with preparing your body pre-surgery and advising you precautionary tips post-surgery. So make a point to discuss these parameters, you can also refer our page to find doctors - Dermatologists in India.

  1. In hair transplant surgery, your hair follicles are taken from those regions on your head where good hair growth is observed, also known as "donors" region, and then transplant to that area where balding is seen, also known as "balding spot". there are various techniques deployed to perform this task.
  2. Number of grafts is decided based up on your level of baldness, and is determined by the dermatologist themselves, but per graft the cost ranges from rs. 20 to rs. 50, which each containing 1 to 3 hair follicles.
Therefore overall hair transplant price can also range from Rs. 12,500 to Rs. 1,57,000 (depending on numerous factors).
Our blog will elaborate more on city wise break down, number of grafts for each grade of baldness, and techniques used - Cost of Hair Transplant in India.
  3. Mostly 1 and at times 2 days of session is enough to get this surgery complete. But it will take a week to recover from injuries and for around 2-3 weeks you will observe immense shedding, but then for next 8 to 12 months you will also witness new hair growth.

You can seek consultation from doctors, refer this page - Hair Transplant Surgeons in India. Come to us if you have any unaddressed or unresolved query!

I am a 27 year old female and I have stretch marks on my buttocks. I'm not sure for how long but they are white stretch marks and they are spreading. What are my best options to at least reduce it if not get 100% riddance from them. Which treatments will give what kind of result and what would be the cost of it and how much time/sessions will they take? Please let me know.

  1. Stretch marks: are non-harmful tears in skin, and based on their color you can determine whether they are new or older.
Red stretch marks would be newer whereas whiter one is older, and accordingly more difficult to treat since they also indicate that the blood vessel below the skin has narrowed down and therefore won't respond to treatments as positively.
  2. Treatment options for stretch marks removal: laser, retinoid cream, microdermabrasion, micro-needling, and cosmetic surgery.
Dermatologist will start with creams and gradually progress and they will inform you about everything, also there might be some improvement but we suspect that 100% removal wouldn't be possible given that your stretch marks are white (i.e. older).
  3. Cosmetic surgery could go upto 1,30,000 INR, but other treatments could fall within the range of 3,000 INR to 15,000 INR. Depends on city & infrastructure of clinic, as well as experience of clinician.

It could be as a result of following skin conditions:

  1. Dermatitis neglecta (lack of proper hygiene),
  2. Hyperpigmentation (induced by drugs, and should resolve on its own but if it doesn't then you will need laser treatment), or
  3. Acanthosis Nigricans (not dangerous by itself but hints at more serious diseases such as cancer, diabetes, pre-diabetes, hormonal disorder, or obesity).

Treatments would be:

  1. Finding underlying causes and treating them (may be weight loss if hiking insulin level is the culprit).
  2. Better skin care products and life style hacks.
  3. Prescription medicines.
  4. Advanced clinical treatments such as: chemical peel, exfoliation and/or laser.

Since there is no over the counter solution or home remedy for this, therefore you will have to seek dermatologist consultation and our page will help you with that regards - Dermatologists in India.

If you have female pattern hair loss then you are not an ideal candidate for aforementioned surgeries. Because if your hair continues to recede then same would leave the site of incision visible. But you can visit dermatologists to discuss other options if they are available - Dermatologists in India.
