Why do I have itchy skin and hives?
I am 21 years old and I have na itchy skin,I googled and saw that it's called hives since when it's itchy and I scratch I'm left with this things I googled called hives,it also comes with lip swell, there's a certain doctor who told me not to use medicine with sulphur and I stop using body lotions but I'm still suffering .what might be the problem and what can you recommend I use to end it.

You might have hives, which can be itchy skin and even swelling on your lips. Hives can be caused by different reasons such as allergies, stress, or infections. It is great that you have completely stopped using sulfur-containing products. Attempt to 'take an over-the-counter antihistamine' like diphenhydramine for help with itching and swelling. Besides, try to understand and avoid what could be the cause of your hives. If the issue persists, it is best to visit a dermatologist.

Hair loss can occur from various reasons such as emotional stress, inadequately healthy diet, and hormone imbalances, which are also factors that create skin rashes. On the other hand, frequent cycles may also cause hair shedding. Leg pain could be attributed to overuse of muscles or muscle strain. Eat healthily, manage stress, and drink plenty of fluids. Talk to a dermatologist for tailored treatments.

Milia are tiny white bumps under the eyes, looking like cysts. Don't fret! These often disappear without action. Try a gentle exfoliating cream, containing glycolic acid or retinol. Keep skin is clean, and moisturized. For oily complexions, use lightweight, oil-free moisturizers. Avoid squeezing or picking milia.

The scar might come from a small injury or irritation you didn't notice. Since it's not causing discomfort, that's positive. However, monitor the area closely. If it starts bothering you or changes appearance, consulting a dermatologist would be wise.

Effective Solutions for Oily Scalp and Hair Fall
I’m facing a lot of hairfall my scalp gets oily after 12 hours also I’m having a lot of dandruff which is not dry like it’s oily without applying any oil my hair from outside looks damaged and dry
Dr. Anju Methil

Answered on 30th July '24
Lots of oil from your scalp could cause hair fall. Your scalp may quickly become oily after a few hours. You might have oily dandruff flakes. Your hair may seem dry and damaged. Together, these signs point towards seborrheic dermatitis. This skin issue makes your scalp produce too much oil. The extra oil leads to dandruff and hair troubles. A medicated shampoo for oily dandruff can improve your scalp health and can reduce your hair fall.

Effective Facewash for Dry, Acne-Prone Skin
My doctor prescribed me a sylicylic acid and glycolic acid facewash I have dry and pimple skin I have used this product and it clear my skin but after some time I again got pimples
Dr. Ishmeet Kaur

Answered on 30th July '24
The salicylic and glycolic acid facewash cleared pimples at first, but they returned later. These acids sometimes dry out the skin too much. This causes more oil production, leading to pimples again. Instead, use a gentle, moisturizing face wash. Be sure to moisturize properly. This keeps skin balanced, hydrated, and prevents more pimple problems.

Perineum Skin Tags: Causes, Treatment & Remedies
I have skin tags on my perineum
Dr. Anju Methil
Cosmetologist
Answered on 30th July '24
Skin tags near the perineum are generally innocuous. They resemble small protrusions of skin. Friction and rubbing of the skin causes their formation. At times, itchiness or bleeding may occur if irritated. If they cause discomfort, a doctor can readily remove them safely. Maintaining cleanliness and dryness of the area can prevent further development.

Causes of Unexplained Facial Swelling and Pain
my friend literally woke up with a swollen right side of her face. she had experienced pain on her mouth. the dentist could find nothing wrong and prescribed an antibiotic with no results. her face remains swollen with no discomfot or mobility problems. what would have caused this.

Answered on 30th July '24
Your friend might suffer from sialadenitis, an inflamed salivary gland condition. A blockage prevents smooth saliva flow, causing swelling and pain around the jaw. Since teeth weren't problematic, glands could be the culprit. Warm compresses and water intake might ease discomfort by promoting saliva flow. However, if swelling persists, visiting a dermatologist is advisable for assessment and potential treatment.

Sometimes, tiny bumps appear on the skin. It's called milia. They happen when dead skin cells get trapped near the surface. To help get rid of milia, you can try using a gentle exfoliating scrub to remove those dead skin cells. Also, keep your skin clean and moisturized - that's important. If the problem doesn't go away, consider seeing a dermatologist for further advice on dealing with it.

Managing Post-Acne Betamethasone Side Effects
Hello I am Jawed, I am 32 years old, height is 170cm and weight is 60 KG. I had acne on my face 10 to 11 years ago, at that time I visited a doctor and they prescribed Betamethasone Injection and it was injecting in every acne on my face separately, the effects was so fast because the acne disappeared after two to three hours after injection. This treatment co tinues 2 months, one every week with that doctor, as the effects were temporary for individual acnes on face and as well the effect was fast, after that I became addicted to it and I was injecting this particular injection to my face myself and it goes for maybe more then 6 months and then I stopped it, about 2 to 3 months later after stopping it some side effects apeared to my skin, my skin (different areas such as face-lips, eyes, hands-shoulders, legs-tighs, neck, under arms, even the private parts) become puffy, itchy, red when I wake up from sleep, and ut continues for 3 to 4 hours and then disappears, this problem is from more then 9 years sometimes it disappears for months and sometimes it comes back, whenever I take anti-allergic tablets such as cetrizine it is all ok and when I stop taking it, it appears again, simetimes the effects are so strong mean specially when it take my eysles the puffy eyes are so heavy and it become normal after 24 to 36 hours. I didn't notice any particular thing that I am allergic to that in these 9 years. I will be very greatful if your advice helps me from this bad situation. King Regards

Dealing with skin issues can be tough. The puffy, itchy, red skin you mentioned might be contact dermatitis. This happens when your skin is irritated by something it touches. For you, it seems the long-term Betamethasone Injection use could have triggered it. To manage it, avoid triggers - certain products or fabrics that bother your skin. Moisturize daily and use a gentle face wash. If needed, over-the-counter antihistamines may ease symptoms. Visit a dermatologist if the problems persist.

Do I have Perennial Skin Tags?
How to know is its a perenial skin tag or if it is something else
Dr. Archit Aggarwal
Trichologist
Answered on 30th July '24
Skin tags appear as small, soft bumps on your body. They feel painless yet bothersome. Often found where skin rubs together: neck, armpits, groin. However, if a growth becomes red, painful, or bleeds, it may indicate something more serious than a skin tag. Consulting a dermatologist is wise to confirm the condition.
