Possible Causes of Itchy Ear After Earwax Removal

I went to a ENT specialist last week who removed some earwax plug from my right ear. Since last week my ear feels itchy inside sometimes, whenever I start being active with it (moving it or touching it with my finger). What can be the cause ? Probably not earwax as I went to the doctor last week.

The ear getting treated for wax buildup is fantastic news! However, itchiness in the ear canal post-procedure may occur. This results from skin irritation caused by disturbance during cleaning. Don't insert objects or scratch inside your ear. This discomfort should subside naturally. But if symptoms worsen, consult your ENT specialist immediately.

When you lose your voice without any clear reason, it's called laryngitis. Your vocal cords swell up, making you hoarse or quiet. This happens due to loud talking, singing, or catching a cold. To recover quickly, avoid talking much, sip warm drinks often, and inhale steam. Within a week, your voice should return to normal.

Your ear has soft skin inside. You may bleed a bit when cleaning. Don't worry, it's normal. You likely scratched the delicate inner skin. This scratch also causes the slight pain. But don't push objects too far into your ear. That's when bleeding becomes concerning. If bleeding persists, see an ENT specialist.

You may be dealing with an ear infection. The germs, whether they are bacteria or viruses, infect your ear and cause a lot of pain, swelling, and even a sensation of blockage in your ear. Sometimes the pain may also radiate to your jaw and neck. Consulting an ENT specialist will enable you to obtain the correct treatment, primarily antibiotics for the infection.

You are likely dealing with an ear infection. The symptoms you are describing, including pain and swelling, typically accompany such an infection. You must visit an ENT specialist who can prescribe the appropriate treatment, for example, antibiotics. Use a warm compress to your ear for the moment to help with the pain.

Why do I have chronic heavy nose bleeds?

I’m having Frequent nose bleeds. I’ve had them since a child. Even a slight touch inside the nose will cause a nose bleed or even if soemthing hits my nose gently it bleeds. The nose bleeds lasts for about 10/15 minutes per time and it’s a heavy nose bleed. I have my septum pierced and it only bleeds from the left nostril but even before I had the piercing it kept bleeding. I coughed the other day and it started bleeding and I even woke up and it started bleeding

Your nose issue is a nasal septum deviation. That means your nose's middle part is off-center. One nostril's blood vessels are more exposed, causing bleeding. The piercing might worsen it. To reduce nosebleeds, keep your nose moist with saline solution. Don't pick or rub your nose. Consider visiting an ENT expert for evaluation and treatment.
