I am female 22 year old. I had laparoscopic surgery around 3 months ago on April 30th and I was on my periods at the time of surgery. After that my periods are getting worse everytime I am also experiencing severe insomnia since 1 month which worsen during periods

The reason for the worsening of your periods and insomnia may be the hormonal changes from the surgery or the stress that comes with it. Period insomnia is a common problem that women face. You may also want to learn how to help yourself. Perhaps you could try some relaxation techniques like deep breathing exercises or relaxation baths. If it does not resolve on its own, seek medical advice as the best way to deal with those problems may be to find the one most suitable for you.

It seems likely that you are pregnant. Our opinion is based on the pregnancy test saying the result is positive. There are a bunch of other early signs of pregnancy like late menstruation, nausea, and tiredness. It is necessary to take the vitamins that contain folic acid to preclude serious health defects. In addition, make sure you have made an appointment with a gynecologist for proper guidance and care.

Why is my first period light, brown, and clotty?
Mam first day of periods less bleeding just one or two strains or colour of blood is brown and have clots also the next blood is coming more
Dr. Nisarg Patel

Answered on 22nd July '24
When the first day of your period is light with minimal bleeding, everything is likely fine. If the blood is brownish and contains some clots, don't worry; this can happen. On the following day, a heavier flow is normal as your body is adjusting. Brownish blood simply means the blood is older. However, if you feel nervous or experience pain, it would be wise to consult a gynecologist.

You might have a urinary tract infection or UTI. This can cause pain and a burning feeling when you pee, along with the need to urinate so often. In other words, you might be urinating less frequently; which could be a symptom of a UTI. UTIs are mostly caused by bacteria. Be assured that in most cases plenty of water and cranberry juice can help get rid of the infection. If it does not show any improvement, a urologist can help you, you might need some antibiotics.

Have I had a vaginal infection for 3 weeks?
Actually from past 3 weeks im having vaginal infection

This condition might be caused by either a yeast infection or a bacterial infection. A yeast infection occurs when there is an overgrowth of yeast in the vagina, while harmful bacteria can cause bacterial infections. It’s important to see a healthcare provider for a proper diagnosis and treatment. They may prescribe medicines or creams to help with the infection and reduce symptoms. Additionally, wearing cotton underwear and washing the genital area with clean water regularly can promote a healthy lifestyle. Engaging in other activities can also help you manage discomfort and reduce stress.

Is It Safe After Taking Unwanted 72 Post-Period?
I had unprotected sex almost immediately after my periods ended. (After 2 days). I took unwanted 72 right after the unprotected sex. Is it safe? It's been 18 days since then

Answered on 22nd July '24
Taking Unwanted 72 after unprotected sex can help in case of pregnancy. It might have to be mentioned that young people should take it within 72 hours. Since the usual menstruation time has passed and in the meantime, you've already got your period, the symptoms you may develop are mostly related to the bleeding. Spotting or changes in the menstrual cycle are the main issues after taking the pill.

Why Can't I Sleep During Periods?
Why can't I sleep during my periods?

Social Obstetrics And Gynecologist
Answered on 22nd July '24
It is quite usual for a girl to have a hard time sleeping during her period. One of the major factors behind this is hormonal changes. During menstruation, your body releases more prostaglandins, which can lead to cramps and affect your sleep patterns. You can also have problems sleeping because of the feeling of fullness, irritation, and anxiety. To feel better, one may try drinking calming tea, applying a heating pad, and relaxing around bedtime.

When you have bilateral PCOD, it means you are having a condition where small sacs are produced in your ovaries each sac contains an egg that can cause hormone imbalances. Symptoms such as irregular periods, acne, and weight gain can be observed. The reasons can be either due to genetics or lifestyle. The medically treated form most frequently includes drugs to help bring the hormone balance to its normal level as well as to improve the symptoms. It is important to get the advice of a gynecologist to manage the situation.

Why Is My Vagina Itchy and Discharging Yellow?
Hello I’m girl I’m not marry this week I had hard itchy an my pussy and after this I had yellow couleur an my pussy I’m worry

You might be dealing with a vaginal infection, which in the majority of cases, is not fatal. The scratchiness and presence of yellowish fluids cause me to reconsider this point. Besides the fact that vaginal infections are a result of yeast or bacteria, the use of such medication is enough to clear the inflammation. You should treat this issue immediately or otherwise the conditions may escalate. Visit a gynecologist for further treatment.

You've been struggling for a while now with ongoing intense pain at the spot of your uterus removal surgery. You just have been cleared after the CT scan to do it but more likely the adhesive band called an adhesive" might be the reason the pain is raised. Adhesions can cause some discomfort. Visit a gynecologist. They would check your health and propose the most efficient treatment options.

This could be due to hormonal shifts in your body, which can happen if you're stressed or started a new medication. Another possibility is an infection or irritation in your vagina. Nipple discharge, a clear white liquid coming out when you squeeze your nipple, is what you're facing. Hormone changes like during periods often cause this. However, keep an eye on it. If it persists or changes occur, talk to a gynecologist; they'll advise you the best.

Should I take one fluconazole tablet daily or every 3 days for my yeast infection?
I am facing yeast infection first time. Do I take one fluconazole tablet per day or a tablet in 3 days
Dr. Himali Patel
Gynecologist/Obstetrician
Answered on 20th July '24
Yeast infections are quite common. They occur when your body has too much yeast. This imbalance can result in itching, burning, and strange discharge. If it's your first time experiencing a yeast infection, the typical treatment is one fluconazole pill taken in a single day. Fluconazole kills the fungus responsible for the infection. However, you must follow the medication instructions precisely.
