Is It Safe After Taking Unwanted 72 Post-Period?
I had unprotected sex almost immediately after my periods ended. (After 2 days). I took unwanted 72 right after the unprotected sex. Is it safe? It's been 18 days since then

Taking Unwanted 72 after unprotected sex can help in case of pregnancy. It might have to be mentioned that young people should take it within 72 hours. Since the usual menstruation time has passed and in the meantime, you've already got your period, the symptoms you may develop are mostly related to the bleeding. Spotting or changes in the menstrual cycle are the main issues after taking the pill.

Confused about Implantation Bleeding or Menses
Female | 20
Implantation bleeding is a light discharge that is caused when a fertilized egg attaches itself to the wall of the uterus. It usually happens 6-12 days after ovulation and it can be confused with a light period. Nevertheless, noticeable blood loss or very strong pain may indicate a more severe problem. If you have any concern, please visit a gynecologist for a thorough examination.

With no issues like aches, bleeding, or peeing trouble now, you can probably have sex again sometime. Still, it's wise asking a gynecologist if you have concerns or need answers.

Hello, I’m a 17 year old female and I am currently taking the pill and anti depressants! I have had a period 2 weeks ago but I am experiancing tiredness, feeling sick , breakouts on my skin and a metal taste in my mouth! I have had intercourse recently. What would you say this could be
Female | 17
You might be having some side effects from your drugs or hormonal changes. The tiredness, nausea, breakouts, and metallic taste could mean different things. One possibility is that the pill is causing these symptoms, especially if you are new to taking it. Your feelings can also be influenced by the hormones in birth control or antidepressants. There is also a chance that you might be pregnant if you have had sex recently. Talk about this with a gynecologist so they can give you advice tailored specifically for you based on what’s going on with your body.

Hi Doc, good evening. Please am a student and in a relationship I don't want to get pregnant now, I have been taking contraceptives and I want to stop. Please I need a solution I want to settle down in 2years time
Female | 31
When stopping contraceptives, your body might take time adjusting before pregnancy's possible. Irregular periods are normal for a bit. If avoiding pregnancy's desired, consider alternative birth control like condoms.

I had dry discharge and periods date is today and it's not come so I test with pregnancy kit and it's negative so it's come tomorrow or not I am worried about that
Female | 20
When periods get irregular, it's understandable to feel concerned. Dry discharge and a skipped cycle could stem from stress, hormonal shifts, or routine disruptions. A negative pregnancy test might also mean you tested too soon. Remain composed; wait another week. If your period still doesn't arrive, retest or consult a gynecologist.

Pregnancy...initial stage dos and don'ts
Female | 34
Do take prenatal vitamins, eat healthy foods, and drink plenty of water. Don't smoke, drink alcohol, or take any medicines without consulting your doctor. Common symptoms like nausea and tiredness are mainly due to changes in hormone levels. Furthermore, eating small meals frequently and getting enough rest will be a big step forward in this regard.

Had unprotected non penetrative sex (wearing underwear) on day 8 of menstrual cycle. Started vaginal bleeding that lasts only few minutes on day 17 and day 19 (12-10 days before periods) (Did not happen on day 18). First bleeding started with red color then started spotting brown. Confused whether it's spotting before periods or implantation bleeding.
Female | 20
It is impossible to know whether the bleeding occurred because of premenstrual spotting or implantation blood without a physical examination. To get a clear idea, plz visist a gynecologist

I have missed my period .
Female | 20
It is a common thing for girls to skip their periods now and then. There can be many reasons for this; it might be due to stress, weight fluctuations, or even hormonal imbalances during the teenage period. Other causes are thyroid problems or polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). If you are sexually active, pregnancy may also be the reason. If the doctor is unsure, take a pregnancy test or talk to a parent or guardian about visiting a gynecologist to be sure.

Why is my LMP gestation is 38 weeks 4 days and gestation age by BPD /FL is 34 weeks
Female | 24
The Last Menstrual Period (LMP) calculates gestation from the start of your last period, while gestational age by Biparietal Diameter (BPD) or Femur Length (FL) measures the baby's size. The difference in weeks might be due to variations in fetal growth rates. Your obstetrician can provide more insight and guidance based on these measurements. It's always best to consult them for a clearer understanding of your pregnancy progress.

I am a 32 hear old lady. I am 4 months pregnant, 3 days ago I felt itchiness on my vagina area going up to the labia it was a strong burning sensation and today I noticed some rash on the area and the itchiness and burning is still there. What could be the cause I am married and we have unprotected sex with my husband.
Female | 32
This could be a yeast infection or it could be something called vulvar dermatitis which is common. These are more likely to happen when you’re pregnant because of the hormonal changes. You can use antifungal creams or soothing creams that are sold over the counter to help with these symptoms. You need to talk to your gynecologist about what’s going on so they can give you the right advice and treatment.

I didn't get my periods before 2 months and i check pregnancy test 2 time is negative what I do
Female | 20
When you get negative pregnancy tests but your periods don't show up for two months, many people get anxious. Stress, drastic weight alterations, some drugs, and hormones are some of the reasons why this could happen. This can lead to irregular periods. The best thing to do is go and see a gynecologist so that they can find out what’s going on with you.

I think I just miscarried at home. What should I do?
Female | 23
Miscarriages at home involve heavy bleeding. Severe pain in the abdomen or back could happen. Blood clots may pass. Miscarriages occur due to genetic issues or hormonal problems. Rest well and drink plenty of fluids. Contact your gynecologist about the situation. They'll advise on appropriate next steps.

I, a girl was masturbating using a toy but suddenly start bleeding and the blood was not in huge or small quantity but still a lot blood
Female | 21
If you see blood when playing with a sex toy, don’t fret. Sometimes, not using enough lube or having too much friction can create small tears in the delicate tissues. These tears may result in some bleeding. Make sure to use a lot of lubricant next time and take it slow – you don’t want this happening again. Chances are everything is fine if it only happened once or twice, but if it keeps happening often then maybe talk to a gynecologist about things to make sure everything is still okay.

Hi, Im brooke and I just recently came off birth control pills. I had unprotected sex 7 days ago, and just started medium heavy of bleeding but it only lasted 2 days.
Female | 18
After discontinuing birth control pills, experiencing a short episode of bleeding could be a result of your body adjusting to the change in hormones. But due to unprotected sex recently there's a risk of pregnancy. Take a pregnancy test after 10-14 days and consult a gynecologist for guidance on birth control options.

My period has not come for almost two months now.
Female | 23
Your period skipping two months is worrisome. Hormonal shifts, perhaps due to stress, weight fluctuation, or medical issues, frequently cause this. Irregular cycles happen routinely and aren't necessarily abnormal. Still, consulting a gynecologist can eliminate serious causes and guide managing irregularity.

My period was due on November 4th And never showed.. it still wasn’t around by the 4th. so I had unprotected sex for the first time. And now I’m worried and don’t know what to do if my period doesn’t show up.
Female | 16
It is necessary to take a pregnancy test if you had unprotected sexual intercourse and the delay of your period occurs. While a negative result and the absence of your period require an additional check with consulting either gynecologists or obstetricians. They can determine if there is an underlying condition responsible for the delay and offer adequate treatment
