Hello, according to the Norwood scale I approximately would need around 2500 grafts ( as per tip-3) to treat my hairline. I'm 23 years old male from Mumbai and looking to treat it via transplanting. Can you suggest to me what kind of treatment would be more suitable for my condition? An FUE or a DHI ? and recommend me a good clinic where I could get it done at a moderate cost.

- Firstly we would like to mention that generally, doctors do not suggest hair transplant surgery at the age of 23. So you should consult a doctor first.
- As per your baldness level, both the techniques, FUE & DHI are suitable for you. The main difference between both the techniques is cost. DHI is a bit costlier when compared to FUE but has several advantages as well intact to it. FUE Method (Cost in INR) Rs. 30-45/Graft DHI Method (Cost in INR) Rs. 100-150/Follicle. Hi, my age is 26 years and I live in the US. I have lost hair on the front and top of head, planning to come to Bangalore, India (max 40 days) for hair transplantation. As I have consulted a few hair specialists here, I feel FUT is much effective ('scar remains' is a disadvantage, hope that is also curable) when it comes to hair density and volume. I would like to know the total number of sittings for this and I am planning for roughly around 3000 grafts. Would be helpful if you provide more information on cost, treatment plan, and best doctors in the city, pre, and post-medication instructions.

Hello Like you mentioned that you have lost hair on the front and top of the head. So we are assuming that you are between grade 4 to grade 6 level of baldness which requires grafts between 2500-4000. Then you have mentioned that you have been recommended FUT by specialists there, And you already know about the scar remains.
Hence, we would like to mention that it is not curable but at the same time it can be hidden by your hair after the full growth of hair.
- In single sitting of FUT maximum of 2000 grafts are extracted hence you will require 2-3 sitting at most. For exactly 3000 grafts you will require 2 sittings.
- Cost differs from city to city and is dependent on the technique which you opt for hair transplant. The cost of hair transplant in Bangalore usually depends on the number of grafts required for hair transplant and the type of treatment you are opting for. The hair transplant cost in Bangalore in the case of FUT is Rs. 25 to Rs. 40/graft.
- With respect to the treatment plan, we have mentioned the FUT procedure below:
- First, the doctor will shave the donor region of your scalp to harvest the strip.
- Later he will construct natural looking hairline as per your will.
- Then he will inject anesthesia to your scalp.
- The surgeon will carefully remove the strip from your donor region.
- The region from which the strip is removed will be closed by stitching.
- The strip will be dissected under a stereo-microscope and good quality of follicular hair graft units will be extracted from it.
- The surgeon will start making incisions in your recipient region after considering the direction of your hair growth and insert follicular graft units in the incisions.
Our page will help you find surgeons - Hair transplant surgeons of Bangalore. Hope this answers your query. If you want to consult a doctor or book an appointment you can fill the form above.
Hi, I have an issue of hair fall for the past 3 years and I am in 3rd stage of baldness. Would like to check what kind of treatment will be suggested for long-lasting hairline? How much it would cost approximately? And I'm planning to come to India in September, which could be the best treatment center in India? How long the procedure takes place? What will be the recovery period to be back to normal day to day life?

Hello Arun, Considering that you are in the third stage of baldness, hair transplant surgery is the only viable option for you, with FUE hair transplant (Follicular Unit Extraction) being the best technique to go for.
FUE Hair transplant is the most preferred technique for restoration of hairs in small cases for hair transplant in India. Transplantation of 1500-2500 grafts should be enough for your baldness level.
In general, the number of grafts for FUE hair transplant in one sitting of approximately 6-8 hours is 2000-3000. Hence one session of 6-8 hours would be the maximum duration of the procedure in your case.
Right after hair transplant surgery, many people prefer a rest period and that's the right way to go about it. After surgery, the time to recover is 1-6 days. Usually, there is no pain after hair transplant surgery. The best part of this surgery is that the FUE technique does not leave visible scars (no stitches) after surgery. Results are lifelong as during the FUE process, hair follicles are extracted from the healthy areas of the scalp that are resistant to hair loss.
It provides natural hair restoration and long lasting hairline. The hair transplant price in India for 1500-2500 grafts will be ranging from Rs. 55,000- Rs. 95,000/-(Estimation). Hello,
- Considering that you are in third stage of baldness, transplantation of 1500-2000 grafts should be enough for your baldness level. But we would suggest you to consult a hair transplant surgeon nearby to get a detailed examination of your scalp. After scalp test doctor would be in a position to tell you the exact number of grafts required for your case.
- So this visit counts as one. later you will need to visit again for the surgery and lastly for a follow up. hence 3 visits would be minimum.
- In general, the number of grafts for FUE hair transplant in one sitting of approximately 6-8 hours is 2000-3000. Hence one session of 6-8 hours would be the maximum duration of procedure in your case.

Hi, I am thinking of going for a DHI hair transplant in Bangalore. Wondering if there is a quality difference between DHI centers? Also, we are a group of 4 friends planning to do the DHI. Could we bargain for better pricing for the procedure?

Hello, All DHI clinics are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, the latest technologies, and infrastructure and are completely customer-friendly. Here hair transplant procedures are performed by highly-trained and certified doctors end-to-end, and not by nurses or assistants. The cost of the hair transplant can vary according to different grades of baldness but DHI is the most cost-friendly clinic as the graft survival ratio is the highest. There is no such difference in prices of the procedure across all DHI clinics. If you want to consult a doctor or book an appointment you can fill the form above and we will guide you through the whole process. Thank you. Hope this information helps you. Hello Generally, baldness levels 1 & 2 are treated with PRP and if required it can be combined along with Hair transplant surgery too. We would suggest that it is better you visit the dermatologist and get your scalp test done to know your baldness level. Also, PRP being a non-surgical process can help in resolving your hair loss problems and boost your hair growth. Further, the ideal age for the procedure is above 22 years and these take several sessions to cure depending upon the hair loss. Hope our answer helps you!
