My wife's age is 41 years and she got operated on by laparoscopy on 21 February 2020 for stone in gallblader. However, histopathological report of the gallbladder which has been cut out shows Carcinoma grade 2. Please guide me for further treatment.
41 year old lady underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy for gallbladder stones, post surgery if biopsy turned to be cancer, we need to evaluate and treat further. My question is what else treatment u had after diagnosis of cancer. Usually we do PET CT scan to know stage followed by radical cholecystectomy for gallbladder cancer. Frankly speaking gallbladder cancer per se has poor prognosis only

Proton therapy is more or less similar to radiation therapy, but its approach is more targeted. It delivers proton beams at cancer cells with better precision. Therefore the risk of damaging tissues around the tumor is lower than with standard radiation.

I was diagnosed with lung melanoma 6 months ago. Doctor gave three suggestions immunotherapy, radiotherapy or just asked to wait for three months and then do a PET scan again. And if the situation change, then only go for therapy. Otherwise, repeat the test after another three months. I am unable to take any decision. Can you please suggest to me what I should do now? Should I go for a second opinion or choose therapy?
The oncologist needs to analyze the problem and need to study the entire case for the treatment.

Squamous cells is a thin, flat cells lining inside of the lips and oral cavity. The Cancer that grows in this cell is called squamous cell carcinomas. Squamous cell carcinoma usually develops in areas of leukoplakia (white patches of cells that do not rub off). Treatment options for squamous cell carcinoma depends on the stage of cancer, size of tumor and location of the cancer (where it is in the lip or oral cavity), also whether the patient's appearance and ability to talk and eat can stay the same, as well as their age and general health. Patients with lip and oral cavity cancer should have their treatment planned by a team of doctors who are expert in treating head and neck cancer. My aunt got a tumor in the kidney in 2014 and found cancer. She was 35 at that time. Since then, she has been surviving with only the right kidney. She is a diabetic patient too. Last month diagnosed with some abnormality on her other kidney too. Though it was nothing severe and was treated with medicine. But we are worried that if the other kidney also gets affected, what are her survival chances?
Having only one kidney does not affect the quality of life to a very high extent, but any disease or disorder of the remaining kidney can be fatal and will require immediate treatment. The most important thing is such a scenario is regular follow ups with nephrologist and routine investigations such as blood tests and ultrasonography tests. This improves and also increases the chances of survivals.
