Questions & Answers on "Anemia Treatment" (273)

Systematic increases in immature granulocytes Good morning, Firstly, I will mention that I suffer from numerous chronic inflammatory diseases, as this may be relevant. These include Ulcerative Proctitis; Atrophic Gastritis; Last year, I also underwent two cervical electrosurgery procedures due to advanced dysplasia (CIN3). (The last colposcopy and colonoscopy did not reveal any suspicious changes) For a year now, my blood morphology tests have been showing an elevated level of immature granulocytes: The latest test (May '24) showed: Immature granulocytes IG - 0.09 thousand/µl; Norm: 0-0.04 thousand/µl Immature granulocytes IG % - 1.00; Norm: 0-0.5% The rest of the blood morphology is normal, leukocytes in urine - within the norm. Previous results (April '23): Immature granulocytes IG - 0.05 thousand/µl; Norm: 0-0.04 thousand/µl Immature granulocytes IG % - 0.7; Norm: 0-0.5% (and a very slightly elevated MCV) Even older (January '23): Immature granulocytes IG - 0.04 thousand/µl; Norm: 0-0.04 thousand/µl Immature granulocytes IG % - 0.6; Norm: 0-0.5% (and a very slightly elevated MCV and basophils) There is a clear upward trend since last year. I initially thought this was due to extreme stress (CIN3, LLETZ etc). Now I am not so sure... Are these results very concerning and indicative of a cancerous process? Can chronic inflammatory states cause an increase in IG, or is it rather some kind of “acute” disease state? Could the fact that I rode a bike to the laboratory (medium and short-term physical effort) affect the increase in results? I would be very grateful for your response and advice. Best regards, J.

Female | 40

Raised levels of these are often linked to chronic inflammation similar to stress, in this case, it is important to control them initially. With the status of attempted diagnosis for specific inflammatory conditions, your previous experience, and the new procedures on the lookout for anything new, don't hesitate to let a doctor know. It would be helpful to get solid advice from your healthcare provider concerning your test results.

I have test creatine Its having less than 0.4 please suggest me anything required

Female | Srilekha

It's good that creatinine levels are below 0.4. Creatinine is a waste product that your kidneys filter out of your blood. If it's too high, it can mean your kidneys aren't working well. Low creatinine levels can happen if someone has less muscle mass or is malnourished. Make sure you have a balanced diet and avoid a diet high in protein, also, be careful so as not to get dehydrated.

Chest lymphocytes swelling

Male | 30

Swelling in lymph nodes within the chest can arise from various factors, including infections, inflammation, or occasionally more serious conditions. Common accompanying symptoms may include coughing, pain, or fever. It’s essential to monitor any ongoing issues, such as persistent swelling or discomfort. Starting with rest, hydration, and over-the-counter pain relievers can be beneficial. However, I recommend consulting a hematologist for a thorough evaluation and tailored guidance, ensuring your health is prioritized.

I am suffering from enlarged spleen, splenic nodules, splenic focal lesion, ileal wall thickening, enlarged lymph nodes, pleural effusion. What is the disease

Female | 43

You may have a condition that is called lymphoma. Lymphoma is a cancer type that harms the lymphatic system, such as the spleen, lymph nodes, and other organs. Symptoms could involve enlarged spleen and lumps in the spleen, thickening of the ileal wall, and pleural effusion. Interestingly, the typical approach for lymphoma addresses therapy with radiation, chemotherapy, and sometimes surgery. It is essential to work with your doctor in order to fully investigate and then create a healthcare plan that is specifically developed for you in connection with the discovered condition.

I did lft test on Friday and my globulin level is 3.70 and now Tuesday after 4 days I did again lft test and globulin level is 4 I am so scared it increasing what should I do

Male | 38

A minor rise in your globulin level in the blood profile is not usually a cause of concern. Globulin is a protein in your blood that serves as a defense against infections. The levels of this protein may at times, be affected by factors such as dehydration or infections. No need to panic if you have not noticed any change in your health or you have not developed any unusual symptoms. Consume enough water and a healthy diet of fruits and vegetables. If you observe any new symptoms or if this continues, consult with your doctor for further advice.
