There are three major treatment options available for male breast reduction or gynecomastia surgery in Kolkata.

1) Liposuction

2) Mastectomy

3) Combined approach surgery. Liposuction with excision.

In liposuction, a male's breast fat is removed but not the breast gland tissue. While in mastectomy, all of the breast gland tissue is removed. Mastectomy is usually done when an individual has breast cancer or is at a high risk of developing one.

When excess fatty tissue causes gynecomastia, liposuction is done alone.

What factors affect gynecomastia or male Breast reduction costs in Kolkata?

Male breast reduction cost in Kolkata depends on multiple factors, including:

1. Type of Hospital and Doctor's Experience: Gynecomastia surgery prices in Kolkata depend on the type of hospital and doctor the patient is taking their treatment from. Prices may vary depending on the surgeon's expertise and the locality of the hospital.

 2. Breast Size And Medical Condition of Patient:  The second most important factor affecting the male breast reduction surgery cost in Kolkata is the size of the breast and the current medical condition of the male.

3. Method of Gynecomastia Treatment: The type of procedure being performed on the patient is the third important factor affecting gynecomastia surgery prices in Kolkata.

4. The number of Sessions And Cycles Per Treatment: If the patient goes through systematic procedures like radiation and chemotherapy, the number of cycles and sessions can affect Kolkata's overall gynecomastia surgery price.

5. The Grade Of Gynecomastia Disease: Depending on the severity of the disease, gynecomastia is divided into four grades. Hence, the final gyno surgery cost depends on the severity of the patient's condition or the size and amount of fat removed.

Now that we've talked about grades let's read in detail about the different gynecomastia grades.

Grade 1 Gynecomastia: Grade 1 is the mildest form of gynecomastia disease with a slight enlargement in the breast glandular tissue. It is also known as puffy nipple syndrome.

Grade 2a Gynecomastia: Grade 2a is the mild to moderate enlargement of the male breast.

Grade 2b Gynecomastia: Grade 2b is the moderate to high enlargement of the male breast.

Grade 3 Gynecomastia: Grade 3 is the high and clearly visible breast enlargement with extra skin on the chest.

Grade 4 Gynecomastia: Grade 4 is the severe and female-like breast enlargement in males with extra skin on the chest.

6. Medications: Taking medications to treat any disease is a prominent aspect to assure recovery. Moreover, the cost of each medication varies from one another. So the overall gynecomastia surgery price depends on which medications your doctor has prescribed during and after the entire treatment course. The cost also depends on the duration of medication treatment which can vary from patient to patient.

7. Consultation Fees And Diagnostic Tests: Gynecomastia surgery costs in Kolkata also depend on the number of diagnostic tests the doctor recommends. The price of diagnostic tests can also vary if done from multiple labs or different hospitals.

8. Bilateral or Unilateral Gynecomastia: The cost of gynecomastia surgery depends on whether the male is facing bilateral (both-sided) or unilateral (single-sided) gynecomastia. The cost of bilateral gynecomastia surgery is higher than that of unilateral gynecomastia.

9. Gynecomastia Surgery Insurance: In most cases, gynecomastia surgery price in Kolkata is not covered by medical insurance. But it may vary depending on factors like:

● The medical insurance company type

● Gynecomastia disease severity

● The type of policy the patient has chosen or got by the medical insurance company.

So, if the person is receiving medical insurance for gynecomastia treatment, their treatment cost will differ from others.

10. Technology Used: Another factor that affects gyno surgery price is the technology and equipment being used for gynecomastia treatment.

When can i wear a push up bra after implants?

Female | 44

Wearing a push-up bra after breast implant surgery will vary depending on individual healing and your surgeon’s recommendation. Surgeons usually advise wearing a surgical or sports bra for support in the early stages of recovery. After some time as your healing goes on, the surgeon will indicate that it’s safe for you to use bras with underwire or further padding like push-up fibers. It is imperative to follow your surgeon’s postoperative instructions in order for proper healing and best results. It is recommended to ask your surgeon individually about when it’s safe for you to incorporate push up bras into postoperative care.

Male | 25

Gaining 4 inches in height after reaching adulthood is highly unlikely and practically impossible through natural means.. While there are surgical procedures like Limb lengthening that can increase height artificially, they are highly invasive, expensive, and carry significant risks, making them an unsuitable option for most people. Moreover, 4 inches of heught increase cannot be gauranteed.

Blocked nose 6 months after rhinoplasty, what to do?

Female | 35

Experiencing a blocked nose six months after rhinoplasty can be normal in some cases, but it's essential to consult with your surgeon for a proper evaluation. While the majority of swelling and healing typically occur within the first few months following rhinoplasty, it's possible for residual swelling to persist for a longer period, especially in the nasal passages. Residual swelling, Scar tissue formation, Nasal valve collapse can be the reasons for blocked nose at this stage.

If you're experiencing a blocked nose six months after rhinoplasty, it's important to consult with your surgeon or an otolaryngologist (ear, nose, and throat specialist) to determine the cause and appropriate course of action. They will be able to evaluate your situation and provide you with personalized advice based on your specific circumstances. In the meantime, here are a few general suggestions that may help:

  1. Follow post-operative instructions: Review the instructions provided by your surgeon after the rhinoplasty and ensure that you are following them correctly. This may include nasal sprays, saline rinses, or other prescribed medications.
  2. Nasal irrigation: Consider using a saline nasal rinse or a neti pot to help flush out any mucus or debris from your nasal passages. This can help alleviate congestion and keep your nose clear.
  3. Humidify the air: Dry air can exacerbate nasal congestion. Using a humidifier in your living space or bedroom can add moisture to the air, reducing the likelihood of a blocked nose.
  4. Avoid irritants: Minimize exposure to irritants such as cigarette smoke, strong chemical odors, and pollutants. These can further inflame the nasal passages and contribute to congestion.
  5. Elevate your head during sleep: Keeping your head elevated while sleeping can help reduce nasal congestion. Try using an extra pillow or consider using a wedge pillow specifically designed for this purpose.
  6. Avoid blowing your nose forcefully: Blowing your nose too hard can potentially disrupt the healing process and worsen congestion. Instead, gently blow your nose with one nostril at a time or use a saline nasal spray to help clear your nasal passages.

Remember, these are general suggestions, and it's essential to seek professional medical advice for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment.

Hi. I am 46 years old mother of 2 children aged 13 and 4yrs. In September 2021 I got liposuction and tummy tuck done. After 6 weeks of wearing the prescribed compression garments and daily massages post surgery, I started noticing big, hard eruptions on my stomach area. Some are red and some are very painful. The doctor punctured one of the eruptions to see if any fluid came out but it did not. He then ask me to use Tbac and put me on anti inflammatory medicine+ flexon. Then one day from the eruption i noticed a pus like fluid. Went to the doctor again. A pus culture was done. No bacteria found. Doctor said looks like it is a suture issue with my body not being able to get rid of the dissolvable stitches. He gave me tricort injections on the hard lumps. Now almost 3 weeks later, some are better but new large and painful ones have also formed. Please advise your thoughts on this and what you feel could be wrong. I am very worried.
