Anal warts are caused by a virus known as HPV. They manifest as tiny growths in the vicinity of the anus and can result in itching or pain. To get rid of anal warts, you may require medication to eliminate them or a procedure like freezing or burning off. It is crucial to seek proper diagnosis and treatment from a dermatologist. Also, remember to practice safe sex so that you do not pass on the virus to others.

I found a bump on the side of my left breast. When I looked it was an open sore. This is not the first one to appear - but this one is worse, as it is sore to touch. I am planning on seeing a doctor this week. But what do I do?
Female | 19
Bumps and open sores can be caused by various conditions, from skin infections and cysts to breast cancer. I'm glad you have a doctor's appointment this week. In the meantime, keep the area clean and dry, avoid squeezing or picking at it, and wear loose-fitting clothes. Early detection and treatment save lives, so don’t miss your appointment.

My son has woken up from a nap with a read mark in a line. It is thick and red. I’m really worried.
Male | 0
Your son may have a skin issue called "dermatographia," meaning, "skin writing." When pressure touches the skin, red lines appear. It's not severe and commonly disappears by itself. Perhaps he laid on something leaving a mark. If it disturbs him, or worsens, consulting a dermatologist would be wise.

It seems as if you may be suffering from severe hair loss. It may as well have been caused by many factors like stress, hormonal changes or a disease. I would suggest visiting a dermatologist, who could examine your scalp and diagnose the reason for hair loss. They can then develop a customized treatment plan for you

If you have dark spots on your face, which could be caused by your sebaceous glands being blocked or the skin gathering too much pigment, they probably are. Face cleaning and protection from the sun are the two main prevention methods for infinite spots. You want a cream that includes retinol, A, not to forget vitamin C, to ensure it will lighten the color in time.

i’m a 23 year old male and i’ve been suffering with itchy red bumps on my stomach for a while now. it started the day after i returned from my thailand trip on 24th august 2024. i immediately went to a dermatologist as i was afraid if it’s any STI but my dermatologist assured me and suggested me Clobetasol Cream IP 0.05% and told me it would be fine. i used it for a couple days and the red bumps on my stomach were gone for a few days but it started itching again and they were back after a few days. whenever i use that cream the red bumps would go away and when i don’t they pop out again.
Male | 23
Eczema can cause itchy red bumps on the skin that come and go often. The Clobetasol Cream which your dermatologist recommended can relieve the suffering by reducing redness and itching but it is not a permanent solution. For the best management of eczema, you need to keep your skin moisturized, avert irritants such as severe soaps or rough materials, and stick to a mild skincare regimen. If the symptoms do not go away, it is better to see your dermatologist again for more advice.

My skin is very oily and I get pimples on my face

Excess oil production causes oily skin. Clogged pores result in pimples - painful red bumps. Wash your face twice daily with gentle cleansers. Use oil-free products. Avoid excessive face touching. If problems persist, consult a dermatologist.

Your daughter likely has ringworm, a fungal skin infection. Itchy, scaly red patches indicate this condition. Keeping feet dry and clean helps healing. Using antifungal cream as advised by a dermatologist is wise. Regularly wash socks, and shoes to stop spreading.

I am an 39 year old lady I am having dark acne , my chin is so black I am having black heads and white heads my skin is getting to dull . How these all problems believe my face? Hope you can help me
Female | 39
This could be because you have blackheads and whiteheads. They can be the ones that dull your skin. Acne is caused by the build-up of clogged pores, too much oil, and bacteria. Washing your face with a gentle cleanser, not squeezing the pimples, and using non-comedogenic skincare products that won't clog pores are some ways to help. Visit a dermatologist for more tips.

A rash on the breast persisting for a year and showing recent changes should prompt a visit to a dermatologist. While it could be benign, such changes may signify underlying issues like dermatitis, fungal infections, or even rare conditions like Paget's disease of the breast.

I have a really bad rash on my butt that been there for 6 months or more it itches really bad and hurts
Male | 48
Rashes in that area can be caused by different things like clothing irritation, permeation, or a skin condition. The inflammation you are experiencing might be the reason for the itching and pain you feel. To maintain a healthy regime, keep the area clean and dry, wear non-restrictive clothing, and apply a gentle cream or ointment to calm the skin. However, if it doesn't improve, you should see a dermatologist for more advice.
