Burning sensation in my feets, for all my life
Neurosurgeon
Answered on 26th July '24
The burning sensation in your feet is likely peripheral neuropathy. Diabetes, vitamin deficiencies, or nerve damage cause this condition. Eat healthy food. Exercise often. Wear comfy shoes and care for your feet properly. These steps can help ease discomfort. If not, visit a neurologist.

I experienced a fall from a chair backward and received a blow to the back right side of my head, behind the ears. There's a small swelling, but it's entirely painless, with no accompanying symptoms such as vomiting, headache, nausea, or confusion. It's been 40 days, and the swelling persists without any pain. What course of action would you recommend I take?
Male | 20
It's good that you don't have severe symptoms like headache, nausea, or confusion. However, since the swelling has persisted for 40 days, it's important to get it checked. I recommend visiting a neurologist to ensure there are no underlying issues.

This is Geeta Hegde. My son Sooraj is taking medication for migraine headache from Monday October 7 th. prescribed by you sir.Headache is getting worse. Does he need to stop the medicine? Or continue taking it.Had MRI on Monday and everything was normal. Thank you.
Male | 18
If your son's migraine medication is making his headache worse, it's important to not stop or change the dosage on your own. Since the MRI results are normal, I suggest consulting the neurologist who prescribed the medicine. They will guide you on whether to adjust the medication or explore other treatment options.

Doctor, can I take 1500 mcg vitamin b12 supplements to increase my brain function as I am a student.
Female | 15
Taking 1500 mcg vitamin B12 supplements may not be required if you do not have a B12 deficiency. B12 deficiency symptoms can involve such matters as depression, dizziness, and memory loss. A blood test is a way to see your vitamin B12 levels. Only in case of a deficiency, the correct dose will be pointed out by your doctor.

I have sleep disorder, and an underlying diagnosis of Myasthenia Gravis. Also, have Nasal septum slight deviation, and turbinate hypertrophy. Have not been able to sleep for more than an hour or 2, for past 3-4 months. Have been told to do Sleep study, but I have anxiety with putting cords or mask, so couldn't even do a Sleep study due to Nasal cannula requirement. Also, I feel difficulty breathing in flat position, and usually because of that fear, haven't laid flat in past 2-3 months. How should I go about solving this issue? Where to start?

Good sleep is vital for your health, so share your concerns with your healthcare team. They may suggest alternatives like home sleep tests or other ways to improve your sleep.
