Two weeks after I had unprotected sex with a guy eight years ago I had potential HIV symptoms (a fever, chills etc) that lasted approximately 72 hours. I thought nothing of this at the time. Two and a half years later, I had sex with an undetectable man, but had no idea about this at the time. I found out a short time later (I think about three weeks later) and got an HIV self-test done (a fingerprick test) and it came back negative. I guess this means I'm HIV negative, seeing as undetectable = untransmissible coupled with the fact that HIV would have shown up on the test two and a half years after potential exposure, so it couldn't be a false negative result? I've had safe sex ever since, but I'm just curious as to what this could be, seeing as I didn't take another test after that due to my use of condoms. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Male | 30
If you had an HIV test that came back negative after the potential exposure and it was performed within the appropriate window period, it is likely an accurate result. Its better to get it confirmed with your gynecologist.

Why am I having vaginal spotting with a negative pregnancy
Female | 30
Women sometimes get spotting from the vagina when not pregnant. There are lots of possible reasons - hormones changing, feeling stressed, or a minor infection. If no pain and not too much blood, it's likely okay. Stay calm, drink water, and eat good food. But if it keeps happening or worries you, it's wise to talk to a gynecologist to be sure everything's fine.

i am on my periods right now! My left breasts looks little bigger than right one! Theres no lump nothing kind of that, no redness as well! Why is that so? Is this normal?
Female | 19
It is not unusual to notice the size of your breast fluctuate due to hormonal cycle changes. Lumps or masses in the breasts may not always have to be the same size but in case of a sudden change, this should be reported to a gynecologist or a specialist in breast disease as a precaution against any underlying disorders.

I tested positive and took abortion pill but light bleeding is abortion successful
Female | 26
You should see a gynecologist to check on the success of the abortion. Light bleeding, on the other hand, could be a post-abortion result that can be confirmed by visiting a professional.

I am 18 a female and my cum is brown
Female | 18
Experiencing brown discharge can be concerning, but it often indicates old blood leaving the body. It's not uncommon and can happen during or after your menstrual cycle. Other causes might include hormonal changes or ovulation. However, if you notice unusual odors, itching, or accompanying pain, it’s wise to consult a gynecologist. They can provide the best advice tailored to your situation.

After one month pregnancy I decided to abort I take pills for that now it's almost one month complete but still bleeding from my private part please help and suggest me for speedy recovery
Female | 28
A little bit of blood loss after abortion pills are taken for a one-month pregnancy can persist for many weeks. The bleeding period is often heavy. It's quite likely that this might happen. Your body is doing some calibration. To speed up your healing, make sure to rest, drink plenty of fluids, do not engage in strenuous activities, and go back to your gynecologist if the bleeding lasts more than a few weeks.

my period had changed to being redish brown in for 2 months now and the gose to red the next day
Female | 17
It is normal for periods to change color a little bit, but if this lasts for 2 months it is important to know why. At the beginning it may be reddish brown which means old blood – this is normal. When it turns red it could be new blood. Hormones or stress may be causing these changes. Drink water, eat well, and rest. If it doesn't stop, consult with a gynecologist.

I had my last period on the 3rd of last month. I have a 25-day cycle with 4 days of bleeding. I had sex on the 13th and I had a pill within one hour and then on the 15th of that month, I took a pill within one hour, just as a precaution. I started a light bleed on the 20th of that month until the 25th. The expected period date was 30 of the month. But, I still have not got it.
Female | 26
Based on the information you have provided, the pills you took on the 13th and 15th of last month may have affected your menstrual cycle. Contraceptive pills contain high levels of hormones that can disrupt your menstrual cycle and cause irregular bleeding. If you are concerned about a possible pregnancy, you can take a home pregnancy test to confirm. But wait at least a week after a missed period to take the test for accurate results or visit a gynecologist.

I am a 22 year old woman. Over the past 4 years i have had 2 endometriosis surgeries and have an IUD placed. More than two weeks back I have started spotting, thereafter I have fallen very ill and had immensely painful pain, was nauseous the whole time had a fever, etc. This is almost two weeks past, I am still bleeding, still have a lot of pain, and are still very nauseous.
Female | 22
I suggest the likelihood of this being an infectious disease process somewhere in your reproductive system is high. This is why I would recommend that you see a gynecologist as soon as possible for them to evaluate the situation further.

Periods delayed by 10 days what to do did not had any intercourse in last 4- months
Female | 20
Too much stress likely caused the disruption. Fluctuating weight, diet, hormones, or thyroid issues also impact cycles. Track periods regularly to identify patterns. However, prolonged delays or abnormal symptoms warrant medical consultation. Relax, stay observant, and seek advice from a gynecologist if concerns persist.

i did a pregnancy test today’s morning T line is darker than the C line. What will it be?
Female | 26
If the T line (test) looks darker than the C line (control), it often signals pregnancy. Early signs can be fatigue, nausea, or breast tenderness. This happens when hCG hormone levels rise. Seeing a positive result plus symptoms means visiting a gynecologist to confirm the pregnancy makes sense.

Is there any chance after complete one month of d&c my periods still not there
Female | 27
Yes, the periods could be delayed following a D&C procedure. On account of hormone changes or your body adapting to the new condition, this would be the case. Stress and anxiety may be the contributing factors to late periods as well. If your period does not come within a few more weeks, consult a gynecologist for guidance.

Hi All, I missed my periods. Today morning i checked for preganancy so it is showing result like this very very light line in left side. Is it positive or negative i am confused..?
Female | 31
The very faint line you see on the left generally means positive. This may be caused by the pregnancy hormone at a low level. The other symptoms are nausea, fatigue, and sore breasts. To establish the facts, hang on for a few days and re-take the test. You can also consult a gynecologist for confirmation.

The feeling of burning, the appearance of bumps, and the discharge may all point to a yeast infection or skin irritation induced by apple cider vinegar usage. She should stay away from strong substances and put on loose cotton garments. Also, drinking lots of water and eating yogurt can help restore the natural balance. If they don’t go away, she needs to see a who gynecologist will be able to provide her with appropriate care.

Female | 16
It’s understandable to feel concerned about missing menstrual cycles, especially with accompanying cramps and back pain. Various factors can influence your cycle, including stress, changes in weight, or hormonal imbalances. While occasional irregularities are common during adolescence, it's essential to monitor your situation. I recommend keeping track of your symptoms and speaking with a gynecologist for tailored advice. They can offer reassurance and check for any underlying issues. I dont remember my last period so i went for an ultrasound on 23 july 2024 and it said 13 weeks 4days even a gestation age. So i want to know how many weeks am i now and when is my due date
Female | 27
Your pregnancy seems to be at around 16 weeks now. Your ultrasound date suggests that you are due around January 15, 2025. The memory lapses can be caused by many reasons, but remember that hormones during pregnancy can manipulate memory. To remember things more effectively, you can note down or schedule reminders on your phone. Constantly seek help from your gynecologist.

Pelvic pain and frequent urination for the past 4-5 hours
Female | 24
Urine infections and bladder troubles often cause pelvic pain and frequent urination. Common germs invade urinary tract parts, like the bladder or kidneys, sparking UTI. But irritants -- foods, drinks -- may also disturb the bladder, leading to the same issues. Hydrating well and dodging irritants helps relieve symptoms. However, see doctor for proper assessment and cure.
