Why am I bleeding lightly at 6 weeks?
Can u bleed at 6 weeks? Just a little and stop?
Gynecologist/Obstetrician
Answered on 23rd May '24
Yes, it is possible to bleed lightly for 6 weeks of pregnancy, and at last, it stops. This is appendicle and known as implantation training. When the fertilized egg sticks to a uterus lining it happens. Remarkably, if the blood loss is minuscule and the patient does not feel pain, everything is okay. However, in contrast to this, long-term, or if the folks feel hard pain with bleeding, they have a hand-set in consultation with the gynecologist.

I visited a dentist today. It was just a normal checkup. No surgery or any other procedure. The doctor used her magnifying glass instrument to check my oral region and then used a suction pull. Nothing else was used. This process lasted for 3-4 minutes. I have fear that what if the instrument was not cleaned properly and then used on me. Can I get HIV, Hepatitis, Herpes or HPV from it. Also I have health anxiety
Male | 19
The possibility of catching HIV, Hepatitis, Herpes or HPV from ordinary dental visits is low because dentists rigorously maintain sanitation protocols. Nonetheless, if there's any discomfort or worry, it'll be beneficial to fix a meeting with your regular doctor for some blood test or have a consultation with a specialist in infectious diseases.

My periods bleeding has reduced in last 3 months. Usually on 2nd day i have heavy bleeding but now it's less bleeding. Why? Also whenever I have sex with my partner, I dry mid sex and unable to finish when he does. Why? Could it be because I'm obese?
Female | 31
Reduced menstrual bleeding and vaginal dryness during sex can have several causes, including hormonal changes, stress, or weight-related factors. It's important to consult a gynecologist to understand the specific reasons behind these changes and receive appropriate treatment. They can provide personalized advice and help manage your symptoms effectively.

My last period was on the 10th of October and I’m yet to see for the month of November
Female | 26
ASSUMING a 28 day cycle, your period is late. Stress and hormonal imbalances can cause this. Take a PREGNANCY test to be sure. If negative, wait a few more days and test again. If it remains negative, see your doctor... They will check for underlying conditions that can cause a missed period such as POLYCYSTIC ovary syndrome (PCOS) or THYROID issues...

I m 21year old female I have the problem in vegaina bleeding and burning sensation in toilet for the last evening please you suggest me what is the problem please
Female | 21
There are a number of things that can cause bleeding or a burning feeling in your vagina. Yeast infections are one such cause and they often lead to these symptoms. Another cause is wearing tight clothing or using products with scents around the area which may also irritate it. Therefore, it is best if you avoid such items and put on loose cotton panties instead. Additionally, try using over the counter yeast infection creams for relief from itching & burning sensations. However if no improvement is seen after doing so then it would be wise to go see a gynecologist who will further examine you.

My period is late with 4days and I have taken a pregnancy test and it’s negative what’s the next step I need to take
Female | 36
A negative pregnancy test means you're likely not pregnant. Stress can delay periods. Wait and test again in 1 week. If you're still concerned, see a doctor.

I missed periods from two and half months and the ultrasound report of lower abdomen is normal and kideney stone of 11 mm is present. And pregnancy test is negative. Then I take mensuline capsules and nerothisterone tablets for 3 days but periods are not coming. Then what I do... Please tell me
Female | 22
Kidney stones generally do not directly influence periods but might induce some pain. In case you have taken medication and have no period still, it’s better to go to a doctor. On the other hand, hormonal imbalances, stress, or other underlying problems might be responsible too. A gynecologist can guide you in diagnosis and give you the necessary medication.

Today I took a pregnancy test and I got very very faint line .. does it mean pregnancy.. plus I am having cramps since morning.. and also feeling dizzy from 4 days
Female | 27
A very faint line on a pregnancy test could indicate a positive result, as even a faint line can suggest the presence of the pregnancy hormone hCG. Cramps and dizziness can be associated with early pregnancy, but they can also have other causes. To get a clearer understanding, consider retesting in a few days

I had my last period 19 oct to 26 oct.....and mistakenly took regestrone tablet of my sister on the last day i.e 26 oct after 5 days i again get period today .....pls advice me what should I do.....when will I get my next period and how long will this period stay
Female | 25
Hormonal fluctuations can cause this occurrence. Taking medication not prescribed to you, like Regestrone, may affect your menstrual cycle. Your next period might arrive sooner or later than expected. It's crucial to avoid consuming any drugs without medical consultation. If you have worries, consulting a gynecologist is advisable for personalized advice.

I want a prescription. I have vaginal infection. The symptoms are itchness, rash, foul smell and discharge. What medicine do you prescribe?
Female | 22
The symptoms you have associated with possible infection, which are itchiness, rash, a bad smell, and discharge, may be due to a common infection known as bacterial vaginosis. This is when the bad and good bacteria are not in equal amounts in the vagina. Apply an anti-fungal cream or gel that can be purchased without a prescription. Choose products that have clotrimazole or miconazole as the main ingredients. Follow the instructions on the packaging for proper use. Cotton underwear is the best choice for you, and douching should be avoided. If your symptoms worsen or persist, see a gynecologist for further evaluation.

Diabetic. Experiencing pregnancy symptoms. Bleeding not sure if periods. Pregnancy tests are negative
Female | 24
These symptoms may potentially signify other underlying conditions, such as pregnancy or bleeding, but none of the tests showed a positive pregnancy. Going to a gynecologist or obstetrician who specializes in high-risk pregnancies for a comprehensive assessment and plan of management is of the essence.

I had an unprotected sex with my partner and my period date is coming near on 1 June.....is there any chances of pregnancy
Female | 27
There is a chance of getting pregnant if you have unprotected sex around the time when your period is supposed to start. Some common early signs of pregnancy are missing a period, feeling tired, being sick to your stomach, or having tender breasts. The best thing for you to do next would be to wait until after your period is due and then take a test if it has not started yet.

Hi, I had unprotected sex on the 9th of March but I took postinor 2, like 4 hours later, my last period was 1st March, right now I feel pains in my nipple, could I be pregnant?
Female | 32
If you engaged in unprotected sex and then took postinor 2, it's good you acted quickly. Nipple pain may not indicate pregnancy. It could result from hormonal fluctuations or even stress. However, the only definite way to determine if you're pregnant is by taking a pregnancy test. For accurate results, it's best to wait until you miss a menstrual cycle before testing.

I am 21 year old female. I had been experiencing late periods since two months. This month I finally had them. But even after 8 days there is heavy flow with heavy discharge. What should I do?
Female | 21
Heavy flow with lots of discharge after a late period can sometimes happen. Probably, it is due to hormonal shifts or disorders such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Be sure to monitor your symptoms and consult a gynecologist if it persists or if you're feeling unwell.

my hymen broke and I bled for 2-3 days then my periods started on 25 Jan they went on till 6 Feb. Then they started again on 21feb and are going on still. I did take one Ipill on 26 Feb. My abdomen and vagina hurt a lot
Female | 18
Long periods of pain are concerning. Your bleeding issue could stem from a broken hymen. But constant flow isn't normal. The emergency pill may disrupt your cycle too. Abdominal and vaginal aches suggest infection or hormonal imbalance. You must visit a gynecologist. They'll examine you, determine the underlying cause, and provide appropriate treatment.

I have recurrent vaginitis I have taken treatment and done a swab shows ecoli staph coagulase esbl pap smear is neg
Female | 39
Recurrent vaginitis is encountered with different reasons, including infections by E. coli or Staph.Coagulase. The use of ESBL in antibiotics is a limiting factor in their effectiveness. In case you face this problem, my suggestion is to go see a gynecologist, who can do all the necessary tests and prescribe medications accordingly.

The fact that your periods are continuing normally, along with the blood test showing an hCG level of 0.300, it seems that your chances of pregnancy might be low. Consult a gynecologist to better understand your situation.

My scan report show right ovary normal Bladder normal Left ovary seen dominant folicule 15mm Et 5 In 5th day of period It's normal or not . please tell me We are trying for second baby
Female | 30
It's great to hear that your right ovary and bladder are normal. A 15 mm follicle in your left ovary on the 5th day of your period is also a normal sign, indicating that your body is preparing for ovulation. The ET value of 5 is within the normal range for this stage of your cycle. All of these findings suggest that you are likely ovulating, which is important for conception. Be sure to track your ovulation and consult your gynecologist with any concerns.

Halo doctor . I am 12 and I am a child girl .I just finished my periods and yesterday I started my spotting I don't know why my spotting is heavy and also I don't have any cramps on my periods and spotting last month my spotting is light but this month it is heavy can you plz tell me why
Female | 12
Often our periods can be dissimilar in their flow while we are adolescents and that is the normal course of things. Hormonal changes, stress, and sometimes no obvious cause behind the symptom can be a reason for heavy spotting. If you do not feel any pain, it is quite common for you to be fine and it is usually not a problem. Just be aware of your period changes, and if it gets too heavy or lasts a long time, you might want to tell an adult or visit a gynecologist for advice.
