Can Improperly Cleaned Dental Instruments Transmit HIV, Hepatitis, Herpes, or HPV?
I visited a dentist today. It was just a normal checkup. No surgery or any other procedure. The doctor used her magnifying glass instrument to check my oral region and then used a suction pull. Nothing else was used. This process lasted for 3-4 minutes. I have fear that what if the instrument was not cleaned properly and then used on me. Can I get HIV, Hepatitis, Herpes or HPV from it. Also I have health anxiety

The possibility of catching HIV, Hepatitis, Herpes or HPV from ordinary dental visits is low because dentists rigorously maintain sanitation protocols. Nonetheless, if there's any discomfort or worry, it'll be beneficial to fix a meeting with your regular doctor for some blood test or have a consultation with a specialist in infectious diseases.

Hello . So I've been getting alot of dark brown discharge lately and I wonder why , it's not my period as my period is still many days away . Though I do have a tendency of holding in my pee alot , so could that maybe be the reason ? And I've also been putting some objects inside my vagina since I was horny
Female | 17
Dark brown discharge is often caused by old blood exiting the body. Bladder irritation from holding in urine too long could lead to altered discharge. Inserting objects into the vagina risks irritation and infection. To address this, make an effort to urinate regularly and avoid inserting anything. However, if the discharge persists, it's wise to consult a gynecologist for guidance.

I am trying to conceive. My age is 43 and weight is 46 . My full body checkup is normal. My prolactin level is 34.30 and amh is 3.9. my uterus is bulky without any fibroid or cyst. My left ovary has pcod and right ovary is normal. I want to know can I conceive.
Female | 43
At the age of 43, there will be a natural decline in fertility but having an AMH level of 3.9 means there is still a fair chance to get pregnant. It may be a little bit difficult because of PCOD on the left ovary but with one normal ovary being on the right this should give some hope. You should talk to a gynecologist about different methods of treatment that can help you become pregnant.

I am having very light spotting since 2 of my periods cycle
Female | 23
It is normal to have barely noticeable spotting between your periods. This is usually caused by stress, hormonal changes, or the beginning of a new birth control method. Eat properly, sleep well, and try to reduce your stress levels. If it is frequent or you are concerned, then consult a gynecologist. They will do tests to ensure that there are no health issues.

I am 35 Yr old female. Me and my husband have been trying for a baby for sometime. This time, I was 5 days late for my period and I thought I was preg. But 6th day I got blood when I wiped with tissue. But urine there was no blood. 2 full days have been over. My total blood flow has been 1 pad full only. This is different from my usual periods. I don't have major cramps like how I used to have during menses. My cramps are very mild. What should I do?
Female | 35
You are experiencing some changes in your menstrual cycle. It is commonplace to have spotting and minor cramps during the first few weeks of pregnancy. If your menstruation is starting, it might be a little different. Stress, hormonal changes, or even lifestyle factors could be some of the reasons for this. If the symptoms continue or worsen, you should talk to a gynecologist to get personalized advice.

In this february, I suddenly missed the period. My thyroid is normal. My usg uterus report is also normal..i am not pregnant. I gained weight 15 kg. What is the reason??
Female | 26
Not having your period when you're not expecting can occur for various reasons. One common factor is weight gain, especially significant like 15 kg. Rapid weight increase sometimes disrupts hormones causing irregular periods. Maintaining a healthy weight through a proper diet and exercise is key. If irregular periods persist, consulting a gynecologist for evaluation is wise.

Pregnancy test negative but period not coming
Female | 22
A negative pregnancy test that is followed by a missed period, however, requires you to consult a gynecologist. The irregularity of the period in many cases is the result of different causes like hormonal imbalance, stress, over-exercise, or some particular medical condition.

Female | 38
You may be dealing with a recurring Bartholin cyst, a type of cyst that takes place on the Bartholin's gland in the vaginal area and is filled with fluid. They can be painful and annoying. They appear when the wet and blocked Bartholin glands get. This can lead to the formation of a lump or swelling that is located almost at the vaginal opening. If you still have it, you might require extra treatment to stop your return. However, one of the best options is to schedule an appointment with your gynecologist to explore alternative treatments.

I did pregnancy test but it is unclear. One line is prominent while other one is almost invisible. I want to know what does that mean. If it’s positive, I need to go for abortion. Kindly prescribe medicines. It is for your reference that my last periods started on 28/12/2022. And last I had intercourse on 12/01/2023.
Female | 26
It could be an indication of a very early stage of pregnancy. Get a proper evaluation by a gynecologist to confirm your pregnancy.

My pattern took misoprostol on Thursday morning by 7am started having moderate cramping but less bleeding.. around 3pm bleeding come but very less stop
Male | 30
Light bleeding after misoprostol is common. The flow may start slowly, then increase gradually. However, very light or sudden stop could indicate issues like incomplete abortion or hormonal factors. Stay hydrated, take rest. If bleeding doesn't pick up, contact your gynecologist for advice.

If I talk I pills in 2 times but one day one 2 days after one any side effects
Female | 22
If you took a double dose of the pill on a single day and then accidentally didn't take it for two days, keep in mind that the contraceptive pill will not be as effective as usual if you miss some, though. You may notice a spot, sometimes bleeding, or a conception of pregnancy in your body. In the interest of safety, take your pills at the same time every day and, in case of doubt, use additional protection with prevention against sexually transmitted diseases like condoms for the next seven days.

periods problem..these month 2 times
Female | 18
Your period coming twice in one month may become a source of irritation, but it is more common than you can imagine. It is usually the result of hormonal changes caused by stress, weight adjustments, or the intake of specific medications. The possible symptoms include unpredictable bleeding, cramping, and mood changes. Monitor your cycle and go to a gynecologist to investigate the chances of the problems and consider various treatment modalities if required.

Thank you Doctor , I visited as per your advice . Now it's diagnosed that I have low lying placenta( placenta previa)reaching the os- CRL approx 5.25cm. Is this good or bad ? ( my gynaecologist didn't explain me that well, I tried searching in youtube/ google but almost all were unsatisfactory ). ( by the way I'm 39 years, this is my third pregnancy ,previous deliveries were cesarean. I got pregnant this time with iud due to that I was slightly bleeding for 18 days with mild abdominal pain with small blood clot ,luckily the iud was removed)
Female | 39
Having a placenta positioned low, close to the cervix, with a CRL of 5.25cm, presents potential risks like bleeding. Considering your third pregnancy and previous cesarean deliveries, close monitoring by your gynecologist is crucial. Avoid strenuous activities or heavy lifting. In severe cases, bed rest may be recommended by your doctor.
