Good morning sir My father is suffering Breathing problem can you suggest any medicine Thankyou.
Male | 75
Shortness of breath may be caused by several different problems such as asthma or lung infections. For the time being, you can give him some over-the-counter medications such as an inhaler that will help him to breathe more easily. It is necessary to observe his symptoms, and in case it continue, consult a pulmonologist.

I was wondering I have been having shortness of breath and coughing up tiniest bit of blood and light yellow phlegm and it stinks
Female | 17
These symptoms, along with yellow phlegm with a foul smell, could indicate a lung infection or pneumonia. Both viruses and bacteria can cause these issues. It's crucial to see a doctor quickly for a proper diagnosis and treatment. They can prescribe the right medication, likely antibiotics, to combat the infection.

Female | 59
Collapsed lung or pneumothorax is a serious medical condition.. Treatment options for a collapsed lung can be chest tube insertion, surgery, or other interventions based on the severity and underlying cause of the condition.
While stem cell therapy is an area of ongoing research and holds potential for various medical applications, including regenerative medicine, its use for specific conditions like collapsed lung may still be experimental and not yet widely established as a standard treatment.
Talk to a pulmonologist regarding your specific condition and treatment options. They will provide you with the most accurate and up to date information, discuss potential treatment options

I had dry cough sometimes and feels sinuses pressure after eating especially forehead
Male | 28
Post-nasal drip could cause your discomfort. Excess mucus draining down your throat can make you cough and feel sinus pressure around your forehead area. Food consumption might trigger it. Staying hydrated by drinking water regularly, and using saline nasal spray, could alleviate these symptoms.

Female | 22
You're in a hard situation when it comes to your breathing. Feeling like you're not getting enough air can add to your shortness of breath. It can bring about several things such as asthma, lung infections, heart diseases, or even anxiety. Try to remain calm, sit up straight, and start taking slow, deep breaths. If it remains, then, you should get medical help immediately.

I have asthma but no inhaler and I want to start track and field in my school. What should I do?
Female | 14
Sports if you are asthmatic and lack of inhaler can turn out to be a dangerous affair. Asthma is a disease that can cause breathing difficulties, coughing, and compactness of the chest among other things. Physical activities can provoke an asthma attack. In your situation, it would be dangerous to do track and field without an inhaler. Warn your parents or school nurse about your asthma and request them to help you get an inhaler before beginning track and field.

I believe I have a pretty nasty cold or possibly flu-lke virus and i just want to make sure that my symptoms dont require further medical intervention. It started Friday night 03/22/24 with a severe sore throat, post nasal drip, and diarrhea. The progression of symptoms has gone from severe throat pain to pain and congestion/runniness and dry bloody sinuses with a sinus headache, to some sinus congestion/runniness with coughing. I do not have a sore throat now and i dont have diarrhea but i do have nausea which ive had the whole time but it seems a little worse now, and i have significant fatigue and muscle weakness. My eyes are also dry and crusty and very bloodshot. Im not really having trouble breathing, and ive had a very low grade fever/no fever throughout the entire duration of this illness.
Female | 23
It appears a viral infection, like flu, troubles you. The sore throat, post nasal drip, diarrhea, sinus issues, cough, nausea, and fatigue - all common viral signs. Stay hydrated well; rest up properly; use saline rinses or OTC meds for symptomatic reprieve. If symptoms worsen or concerns arise, consult a pulmonologist promptly.

It seems like the patient is experiencing a mix of symptoms, including mild fibrosis in the lungs, possible interstitial lung disease, and heart-related concerns like QT interval changes and palpitations. Given the complexity of the case, consult a pulmonologist for the lung issues and a cardiologist for the heart-related symptoms. Fever, cough, headache and running nose
Male | 29
The fever is your body signaling you are sick, and the cough and nasal congestion are two signs of your respiratory system being affected. Drink a lot of fluids, rest well and if you feel you can take some over-the-counter medicines to help you feel better. Most of these cases just pass by themselves, but in case the opposite happens or if the discomfort lasts, go ask a pulmonologist for advice. They must carry out a more detailed assessment and apply the correct treatment.

I’m on a medication that causes hyperkalemia if I take NSAIDs with it. I have very high inflammation, Doctors have prescribed Naproxen, Ibuprofen, Toradol and Meloxicam. They all made me ill for days. Is there any medication for inflammation that won’t interact with Hyperkalemia?
Female | 39
You are having’ medications that are causing issues with your potassium levels. You need to avoid NSAIDs such as Naproxen, Ibuprofen, Toradol, and Meloxicam because they can aggravate your high potassium levels. You may discuss with your doctor the possibility of using Acetaminophen or Celecoxib medications, as they usually do not affect potassium levels. Consult your doctor before making any changes to your medication routine.

I am a 20 year old male who has been having chest pains for the past week. They have come and go and spread through my chest and shoulders to my back. They are typically sharp or dull and can occur when I take a deep breath but feel better while I exercise. I had this before and had two x rays in the past and an x ray today to check if there was anything wrong with my lungs and evertime, my doctors assured me I am fine. I heard that x rays can miss lung cancer.
Male | 20
X-rays are generally effective in detecting lung conditions, but they may not always identify all potential issues, and early stages lung cancer. However it's important to note that chest pain can have various causes, and lung cancer is relatively rare, especially in young individuals. Consider discussing your concerns with your doctor who can evaluate your symptoms and recommend further tests or referrals to address your chest pains. They are in the best position to provide appropriate guidance based on your individual situation.

I am immune compromised and currently have Bronchitis. Today I've been using my pulseox seeing my O2 is mostly 82%-92% is this normal? My O2 has been 98%-100% until today.
Female | 32
Normally your normal B02 saturation level shouldn’t be bouncing between 82-92%. This is, in particular, a troubling case for someone whose immunity is compromised and who has chronic bronchitis. I advise you to seek help from a pulmonologist to carry out further evaluation and suggest treatment options.

This can cause symptoms such as coughing, chest pains, and coughing up blood. Persons under TB medication are not encouraged to use creatine or whey proteins since it alter how the body responds to the drugs. Concentrate on the treatment plan provided by your doctor and also eat a balanced diet that will help in fighting the infection. Continue going to the gym but don’t take any supplements that may affect the healing process of TB within your body.

I need help with falling a sleep while having a cough
Female | 53
Falling asleep when coughing is hard. Coughs disrupt sleep by irritating airways. Cold, allergies, asthma – all potential culprits. Try elevating your head, using a humidifier, sipping warm honey tea. But if coughing persists, consult a pulmonologist. They'll provide appropriate advice based on your condition.

Serflo 125 synchrobreathe is good but you need something more. You may want to try using Budecort respules with your nebulizer. These will help reduce any swelling inside your air passages which should make them wider and easier to breathe through. Do not forget about following the prescribed dosage exactly as instructed. But do visit your doctor before starting the medication.
