As with any major surgery, rhinoplasty carries risks such as:
- Bleeding
- Infection
- An adverse reaction to the anesthesia
- Difficulty breathing through your nose
- Permanent numbness in and around your nose
- The possibility of an uneven-looking nose
- Pain, discoloration or swelling that may persist
- Scarring
- A hole in the septum (septal perforation)
- A need for additional surgery

Rhinoplasty is a safe surgery but still common risk after Rhinoplasty are Anesthesia risks, Infection, Poor wound healing or scarring, Change in skin sensation (numbness or pain), Nasal septal perforation (a hole in the nasal septum) is rare, Difficulty breathing, Unsatisfactory nasal appearance, Skin discoloration and swelling and others.
