How can I treat itchy red spots on thighs?
I have a skin problem, there are some red spots around my thighs and they are itching very much, how can I get rid from this situation..

Answered on 4th Sept '24
You might be fighting dermatitis, one of the most common skin problems. Red spots and itching around the thighs are the main symptoms. This, however, may be attributed to the use of certain soaps, sweating, or even irritation from clothing. To soften your skin, you may want to wear loose cotton clothes, use gentle soaps, and apply a non-irritating moisturizer. If the issue doesn't go away, visit a dermatologist for recommendations.

My roommate has said she had a cold sore for the last two days. And I’m a bit worried. She gave me a piece of food that she bit off of and offered me and also a drink (I didn’t drink off the straw, rather just our the cup) I’m a bit nervous, I’m not sure if she had an outbreak during those times but it was about two / three days ago. Could herpes be spread in that way? (I definitely could be uneducated but just a bit nervous)
Female | 20
Cold sores result from the herpes simplex virus spread by close contact such as kissing or sharing eating utensils. Nonetheless, passing herpes through sharing food or drinks is very unlikely. Signs may commence with a tingling sensation and itching feeling then develop into blisters on the lips or around the mouth. To avoid contracting herpes simplex virus, refrain from sharing cutlery and glasses besides washing hands often.

Hello I'm chandana from India and I'm 25 years old.I have been struggling with numerous facial skin issues, including dark spots, large open pores, pimples, wrinkles, fine lines, and marks, for the past nine years. Despite trying various products, nothing has proven effective. As a result, I am losing confidence in social situations, and I feel that people are not favorably inclined toward me. I seek a solution to these persistent problems.
Female | 25
I understand your concerns about facial skin issues. It's important to see a dermatologist for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan. They can offer targeted solutions for dark spots, open pores, pimples, wrinkles, fine lines, and marks. A dermatologist may recommend treatments like chemical peels, laser therapy, or prescription medications. They will also help you establish a skincare routine suited to your skin type.

It started with an itch and I constantly scratched it and it got red inflamed and possible signs of infection!
Female | 22
You might be struggling with a skin problem called dermatitis. What is common is to scratch the itch often. It will make the skin red and inflamed. In the case of an infection, the signs can be warmth and pus. Scratching should be stopped, and the area kept clean. A gentle moisturizer can work. If it doesn't get better, visit a dermatologist.

My baby is 1.8yr old girl...she got fine hairs at her private part and underarms and little facial hair also...it's from birth....her dad also got much hairy skin..is it normal about her
Female | 1
It’s normal for your 1.8-year-old daughter to have fine hair in those areas. It could be because her dad is hairy – sometimes it runs in the family. These hairs are not a problem and do not require any treatment. As she gets older these hairs may become thicker, but that is fine too.

Salic cu glyco peeling is gud for skin?
Female | 30
Salicylic acid and glycolic acid peels can be beneficial for skin.. Both ingredients exfoliate, unclog pores, and improve skin texture .. SALICYLIC ACID is oil soluble, making it an effective treatment for acne-prone skin.... GLYCOLIC ACID is water soluble, making it a good choice for dry skin. However, these peels should only be done by a qualified professional, as they can cause skin damage if not done properly . It's important to discuss any concerns with a DERMATOLOGIST before undergoing the treatment.

Having pain under right side of jawline and can feel the lymph node just below the jawline on the right side which perhaps has swollen and can feel it as a hard gland , the Pain increases at the time of chewing solid food and swallowing, No other symptoms persists like cough cold and fever, have taken Amoxicillin clavunanic acid 625 Mg twice a day for three days but no respite, kindly advise the best medications for the above mentioned. Thanks
Male | 41
An ailment infests the right salivary gland or the lymph node on your right, causing pain all the time when eating. This might be a result of different things of which the most common are a blocked duct or bacterial infection. If Amoxicillin clavulanic acid was of no help, you may need another antibiotic projected like Azithromycin. A visit to a dermatologist should be made so they can examine your issue and treat it accordingly.

Hello, I have a wart/verucca for a few years now, a couple of days ago it was painful and i noticed that it was all yellow around, like it was inflamed, so i tried to drain it and i cut the inflamed part to the point where all 7 layers of my skin was gone and it left a hole, the dimensions of the area is about 1.5cm and it doesnt hurt anymore, should i be concerned or will it heal on it own?
Female | 18
Cutting or draining a wart at home can lead to infection and other complications. Since you've removed multiple layers of skin and created a hole, there is a risk of infection, scarring, or delayed healing. A professional can assess the wound, provide appropriate treatment to prevent infection, and determine whether any further steps are needed for healing

How to tighten pore on face
Female | 28
Your face has tiny openings called pores. Sometimes, they seem bigger. Causes can be oily skin, sun hurt, or age. Keeping your face clean helps shrink them. Wash regularly with a gentle cleanser and products with salicylic acid to unclog pores. Use a moisturizer that won't block pores, keeping them smaller. The sun damages pores, making them look bigger. Protect with sunscreen daily. Diet and water can also improve skin appearance.

I had spot on forehead since I had my op ten weeks...and it really itchy I know I haven't got scabs or whatever...but it really really itchy
Female | 44
You are having an itchy sensation around that area on your forehead where the surgery was performed ten weeks ago. This can occur as the body continues its healing process and the nerves in that area start functioning again. Itching can also be a normal part of the healing process. To treat the itchiness, you can try using a gentle moisturizer on the area. Do not scratch it, as this can aggravate the situation. If the itching does not go away or intensifies, it is best to consult a dermatologist to ensure that your healing process is going well.

Hi, I have some pimples on the skin of my penis. What would those be? And how can I get rid of them? I can attach photos Thanks
Male | 24
Pimples on the penis often arise due to folliculitis or genital warts. These can cause discomfort, redness, and swelling. To treat, keep the area clean and dry. Avoid tight clothing. Don't pop the pimples. If symptoms worsen or persist, see a dermatologist. They can properly diagnose the issue and provide treatment.

I shower every day, I’ve tried different acids like salicylic acid, glycolic and so on but not that worked. What do I do?

You have been experiencing heavy sweating and body odor. My suggestion is to consult with a dermatologist who can assess and address your sweat and odor issues.

I feel itching all over my body and the rashes disappear suddenly after few minutes and again appears after few hours
Female | 17
You may have a medical condition known as hives. They usually cause an itchy rash that comes and goes within a couple of minutes. They are sometimes caused by allergies, stress, or infections. Over-the-counter antihistamines and triggering agent avoidance, like certain foods or products, can help with the itching. If hives are still there or getting worse, a visit to dermatologist would be good.

Dark skin ke liye kaun sa face wash ya cream use karey and pigmentation ke liye kya use Karen, likewise for oily skin ke liye
Female | 25
The colour of the skin is determined by the amount of melanin produced in the skin. This in turn is influenced by genetic factors, sun exposure, drugs etc. Uneven skin tone, or any other pigmentation which is acquired and not genetic can be treated with various depigmentation creams which are to be used as per Dermatologist’s prescription. Sunscreens are mandatory to protect the skin from tan and other signs of some damage. Procedural treatments like chemical peels, laser toning etc are recommended apart from topical creams to treat the pigmentary concerns. It is not advised to use OTC creams claiming improvement in skin pigmentation without professional advice. Face washes can never treat pigmentation. They can only help clean excess oil, dirt and grime collected over the skin. For oily skin, one can use, salicylic acid, glycolic acid or tea tree oil based facewashes. For more information please visit dermatologist near you.
