Why Is My Daughter's Dry Cough and High Fever?
Hello doc, can you give an advice, my 5yrs old daughter is having dry cough and high fevervin 2days
General Physician
Answered on 28th June '24
A persistent cough without phlegm and elevated body temperature could indicate a viral infection, like influenza or a common cold virus. Ensure that she consumes ample fluids and gets sufficient rest. If necessary, administer children's fever-reducing medication, carefully following age-appropriate dosage instructions. However, if symptoms persist or worsen, seek medical evaluation.

My 4 months old baby boy, having diarrhea type stool and urine color slightly reddish and dense(thick).
Male | 4 months
Your baby is experiencing diarrhea. His urine appears reddish, and thick. This might be caused by infection or something he consumed, upsetting his tummy. Ensure he drinks enough breast milk or formula to stay hydrated. If symptoms worsen or continue, consult a pediatrician - it may indicate a serious condition needing medical attention.

My 10 month old baby got fever after every month from last 3 to 4 months ,, temperature varies from 100 to 102 c I have a blood test report I want to discuss about the report
Male | 0
In children, any fever above 100 degrees Fahrenheit should be investigated. It might mean there’s an infection present. It’s important to go through the blood test report for any indications of an infection. The most likely causes are respiratory or urinary tract infections. After you get the results, make sure you book another appointment with a pediatrician so that they can recommend the right treatment.

The child could be having difficulty speaking because he doesn’t like or has trouble chewing food. Dehydration can also be a cause. If a child is not eating well, they may get diarrhea or indigestion. Consult a pediatrician and take advice after examination.

Male | 1.5
If you're concerned about your 1.5 year old son's genital development, it's essential to consult a pediatrician or pediatric urologist for an evaluation. Small or retracting testicles may be normal in some cases, but it's crucial to rule out conditions like undescended testicles or hernias.

Hi doctor my son is 3 years old he drank water from handheld water toy is it a problem
Male | 3
A handheld water toy's water shouldn't cause major concern for your son. A little tummy trouble or loose stools may occur - nothing serious. Ensure he drinks plenty of clean water and eats plain foods. However, if severe symptoms arise, like vomiting or fever, consult a pediatrician immediately. For now, monitor him closely, keeping him hydrated.

I understand your concern about your son's health. Since he has been suffering from typhoid fever for 15 days and is not improving despite medication, it's advisable to follow your doctor's advice for hospital admission. Hospitalization will ensure he receives proper monitoring, intravenous fluids, and medications to fight the infection effectively. Please continue to follow the guidance of the pediatrician or the specialist managing his case.

My brother age 6 years hernia problem
Male | 6
It's possible that your brother has a hernia. This happens when something inside pushes through a weak area in his belly muscles. You might see a lump or he might feel pain in his belly or groin. Hernias are common in young kids. He will likely need surgery to fix the hernia. Be sure to talk to a doctor.

My child is 7 year old his fever not decrease when we give paracetamol 250 MG.what I can do
Male | 7
Your kid has a stubborn fever despite paracetamol. Don't worry, fevers aren't always due to colds or flu. But it's wise to see the doctor and rule out other causes. Meanwhile, keep them cool with lukewarm sponge baths. And ensure they drink lots of fluids to stay hydrated. These simple steps can provide relief until the fever breaks.

My 4 year old has had a stomach flu since Saturday, she was vomiting up until Monday night and has had barely appetite, she is very thirsty even though she stopped vomiting and has been drinking a lot of pedialite and water, no vomiting or diarrhea since Monday night… why is she still so thirsty?????
Female | 4
When someone has stomach flu, their body loses lots of fluids. Even though vomiting ceased, her body might still be trying to regain lost fluids, causing increased thirst. Continue providing Pedialyte and water to help her rehydrate. If she doesn't improve or struggles keeping fluids down, contact a pediatrician.

My 4 year baby is urinating pink colour urine since morning Although there is no pain or itching. Is it due to food she had consumed last night pink colour fringes, pink strawberry pastry or is it something concerning?
Female | 4
The kind of pink pee that a child could have could be caused by things like eating too many pink strawberries or consuming food with dyes. Nonetheless, if your baby is not suffering from pain or itching, it is most likely nothing serious. Suggest your child drink more water to eliminate any objects that may be coloring their urine. If the pink doesn't go away, or if any other symptoms come up, it's wise to consult a pediatrician.

For my child there are worms inside tey are not going I have used bandy syrup also but that are not killing
Female | 5
Oh no, it is sad to hear about worms in your child's stomach. Such worms may cause symptoms such as abdominal pain, itching, or fatigue. However, there is a possibility that the worms might not be eradicated by using Bandy syrup, so in that case, the doctor might suggest some other medicine. The most vital issue here is to teach the child to wash their hands frequently, avoid undercooked foods, and wash fruits and vegetables thoroughly. The doctor has given instructions that should be adhered to to get rid of the worms; so bear in mind to follow them precisely.

My baby is having watery poop from 3 days and today I noticed blood in her poop with muscu 4 5 times
Female | 5 months baby girl
Watery poop with blood may be a symptom of an infection or food intolerance. It is crucial to ensure that your baby gets enough fluids. Let her drink lots of fluids like water or breast milk. The best thing to do for the time being is to stay away from dairy products. If the symptoms persist, or if you come across any other alarming signs, please consult a pediatrician immediately.

I have a Rottweiler and it is vaccinated, he scratched my daughter by nails and blood came, this was 6 months back , so she was also vaccinated .....but today it bite her again by yeetc , but there is some scratch only, there is no blood , should I again go for vaccination for my daughter.
Female | 4
Your daughter and your pet have been vaccinated so the chances of a serious infection are low. Watch out for any redness, swelling, or pain in the scratch. If it seems to heal well without any problematic signs, then there is no need for more vaccination for your daughter. Make sure that the wound is kept clean and observe any changes.

My husband is 24 years old he having fever for five days.cold and throat pain ,diriyea to Now his nose is bleeding why is that he had 102 fever yesterday
Male | 24
It appears that your spouse has antibodies that might be the root cause of a virus like a cold or influenza. Fever, uncomfortable throat, and gastrointestinal distress may all be present simultaneously. Nosebleeds can be caused by nasal congestion or irritation. Besides, give him plenty of fluids and use a humidifier to make him feel better. If the symptoms don’t disappear after a week, they even worsen, or he gets other problems, please make an appointment for him to see a doctor and have a full checkup with subsequent treatment.
