What should I do for my renal cortical cyst?
Hello sir/mam, i have pain over left side abdomen from last 3 days, severe in morning and subsides as the day passes, fever, no burning sensation. Xray KUB is normal, Usg shows small renal cortical cyst and tiny calcific foci, features suggestive of pyelonephritis. Dr. gave me IV ceftriaxone for 10 days. Pain is still there after 2 days of treatment.What should i do for the cortical cyst ?

You have been experiencing pain in your left abdomen and have undergone treatment for pyelonephritis. An imaging scan showed that a small renal cyst slightly off the cortex in the kidney is the possible cause of some of your symptoms. Briefly, such cysts are usually benign and do not require treatment unless they grow or cause symptoms. In your situation, please continue to receive the necessary treatment for the infection, and they will also check the cyst to be sure it is not causing any inconvenience.

The test report shows that your right kidney is good. But the left kidney has a bit of trouble. Some damage is there in the outer part of the left kidney. You may not have any problems right now. But you should look for pain or change in urine. To help your left kidney, you should drink lots of water. You should also talk to a nephrologist for more advice soon.

Hello Doctor, My grandmother age is 72. She has Diabetes, BP, urinary tract infection. Recently, a mild cyst found in her kidney through CT Scan. 15 days ago, her condition went serious and we joined her In hospital. Her sugar levels were 600mg/dl. Doctors treated her and dropped her sugar levels to normal. Now, she is mentally not stable and taking full bed rest. She is unable to stand or sit on her own. She is able to recognise all of us and can eat or drink on her own. But she is very week and mentally disturbed so much. She talks unrelated. Please suggest what treatment we should take for her. I've test kidney function test all the parameters are in normal range except uric acid that is 7.9 mg/dl, and I want to take creatine supplement should i take it. (And before KFT test I had have ate fish and high purine food).
