Blood loss during pregnancy is not a good experience, yet it is important to keep calm. This might be a sign of a threatened miscarriage, which means that the pregnancy might be lost but not yet is the case. At times, it is difficult to notice the fetus in the ultrasound during the early stage of pregnancy. The positive pregnancy test indicates that you were indeed pregnant, however, it sometimes takes a long time to see the fetus on an ultrasound. If you're feeling anxious, it's better to talk to your gynecologist

Im pregnant I have took misoprostol tablet but I didn't get my period

Female | 17

You should visit an obstetrician/gynecologist today to determine what role the misoprostol will play in a pregnancy. It is essential to realize that the benefits of this drug may have very severe short and long-term negative impacts on both the mother and the fetus.

I have missed my periods for 4 months and my stomach has become tight and bigger but I am not constipated. What should I do now?

Female | 39

If you miss your period for 4 months straight and notice a bloated bigger belly, you might be pregnant. Alternatively, it might be due to hormonal imbalance or other medical problems. To confirm, take a home pregnancy test. If results are negative, visit a doctor for further investigation.

If I take 4 doses of emergency contraceptive on 4 consecutive days while having sex can ensure not getting pregnant, 4 weeks after a miscarriage

Female | 25

Taking multiple doses of emergency contraceptive pills is not recommended. Emergency contraceptives are designed to be taken immediately, not as a regular FORM of birth control.. Also, they are not 100% effective in preventing pregnancy, so it's important to use additional methods such as CONDOMS. It's best to speak with a healthcare provider to determine the safest and most effective form of birth control for you .

Hi Doc, good evening. Please am a student and in a relationship I don't want to get pregnant now, I have been taking contraceptives and I want to stop. Please I need a solution I want to settle down in 2years time

Female | 31

When stopping contraceptives, your body might take time adjusting before pregnancy's possible. Irregular periods are normal for a bit. If avoiding pregnancy's desired, consider alternative birth control like condoms.
