Sleep paralysis is a sleep disorder that makes you feel stuck. Your brain wakes up, but your body doesn't. This causes temporary paralysis which can be scary. You might feel afraid or confused. Seeing things move or crying are part of this experience. To reduce sleep paralysis, have a regular sleep routine. Go to bed at the same time each night. Avoid screens before bed. If it keeps happening, talk to a sleep specialist. They can guide you on what to do.

It’s important to talk to a specialist like a psychiatrist if you believe you have ADHD. They can properly assess your symptoms and guide you through the right steps for diagnosis and treatment. Even if you’re not comfortable going to your GP, a psychiatrist is the best person to help with ADHD concerns.

I am 29 years old and female. I am not pregnant and have difficulty sleeping at night. Currently I am on adco zolpidem and I find take one at 21:00 leaves me still awake at 22:10 so I have administered another, I want to know if there are other products on the market that are stronger and also should I fall asleep after taking the the second one I wake up 5 hours from administration where I take another half a tablet

Female | 29

It is crucial not to overstep the stipulated dosage or mix it with other drugs. If you're up after taking it, your insomniac problems may be due to some other factors that may be holding you back from getting the sleep you need. I would suggest discussing it with your doctor and possibly trying a different medication or adopting some other approaches to get your sleep back to normal.

Several months ago, I experienced a sudden and strong fear in one of the cafes, to the point that I felt a squeeze in my heart, pain, and a very strong palpitation, as if it had reached my stomach. I had to cough to relieve the palpitations and suffocation. Days later, I quickly became afraid of the simplest, even daily, situations, even if a simple emotion caused me strong palpitations and suffocation. And the tremors and coldness of the extremities. I read about diseases of the adrenal gland and became very afraid. The condition increased with great fear. I now cannot stand leaving the house and am very afraid of any feelings, even if the feelings are happiness or good feelings and also i get dizzy when i stand up too fast is it possible that there is something dangerous with the adrenal gland?

Hi. I suffer from severe OCD, anxiety and depression and I'm on two antidepressants - fluoxetine and mirtazapine. I am wondering about the efficacy of vortioxetine in treating OCD, anxiety and depression and whether replacing mirtazapine with vortioxetine will bring improvement to my mental health. I can't find any information on Google. Both of them are atypical antidepressants. Is vortioxetine superior or inferior to mirtazapine in general? Someone told me that vortioxetine is "very mild" in terms of efficacy. Is that true? Thank you.

Male | 25

Like mirtazapine, vortioxetine is believed to help with anxiety, depression, and OCD. Some trials have shown vortioxetine may be useful for these conditions. However, everyone reacts to drugs differently. Therefore, you must talk to your doctor about any changes in your medication so that they can find something that will work for you.

Actually I am unable to sleep properly at night. Even I sleep a night properly after 4-5 sleepless nights.

It is critical to know the underpinning of your lack of sleep. Sleep loss can be caused by factors such as stress, anxiety, depression, and medical conditions. It is recommended you see a psychiatrist to identify and eliminate the sleeping problem's primary reason.

Male | 17

It seems like you might be going through depression or anxiety. These factors may impair your capacity to focus and an activity you used to enjoy. I suggest seeking advice from a mental health professional to review your symptoms and to talk about the treatment options. They will work with you to design a plan that fits your needs, so that you can feel better and more active.

I'm 26 I have autism ocd Suspected ADHD and suspected fibromyalgia I'm taking 15mg of escitalopram It's making me fall asleep from 6 am to 8 am What should I do? I take it in the evening

Male | 26

Escitalopram might be making you feel too drowsy in the morning like it's the reason you are going to sleep. This case is more or less the same with some people. An example of one thing you might do is to consume it earlier in the evening, for instance, right before you eat. This way, you may later be tired but not in the morning. If the problem continues, bring it up with your doctor.

I’ve been taking Cipralex and Fluanxole for a few years and about 5 months before I started having exaggerated startle response (myoclonus and blinking as a reaction to a sudden stimulus). Can it be caused by antidepressants? I’m very scared :(

Female | 27

Various factors can contribute to this reaction, such as stress or underlying medical conditions. If you're concerned, it's important to consult a doctor for accurate evaluation and guidance on your symptoms and medication. Never alter your medication regimen without medical advice.

Hi, I got prescribed sertraline 50mg and wanted to start treatment. However, I took St John’s wort 3 days ago. Is this safe for me to start sertraline treatment tomorrow?

Female | 22

Sertraline helps with depression and anxiety. St. John's Wort is an herb that doesn't mix well with sertraline. Together, they could cause serotonin syndrome - symptoms like confusion, fast heartbeat, and high blood pressure. It's better to wait 2 weeks after stopping St. John's Wort before starting sertraline. This prevents any issues from occurring.
