Your creatinine level is a bit above normal and your eGFR is a bit below normal. These are not a big deal and can occur due to age or some health problems in the past like angioplasty. It may not be visible in the beginning. Thus, living a healthy lifestyle such as eating well, drinking enough water, and making regular doctor visits can greatly assist your kidneys.

Several things might have caused the growth you noticed like a tumor or cyst. So you need to see a nephrologist who can properly evaluate what’s going on with your body and give a treatment plan to help ease these symptoms.

My father is 65 year old and he has Kidney issues, suddenly his creatnine increases from 2.5 to 4.5 what could be the best way to decrease creatnine level.
Male | 65
If the levels of Creatinine get high, it can indicate that his kidneys are not functioning well. Fatigue, swelling, and difficulty urinating are all symptoms connected with this. There could be many causes such as lack of fluids or even certain drugs he may be taking for these signs and symptoms which include tiredness, edema (swelling) around ankles or eyes as well as anuria. He needs however follow the advice given by his doctor very closely for them to get better.

I am 45 yrs old woman with one kidney.i have a stomach pain and I have taken pudina Hara liquid several times but there is no any effect on the pain. Just have taken higene tablet. I want to ask you that can I take colinol tablet as I have only one kidney, does this colinol tablet affect the kidney. Please give your appropriate suggestions.
Female | 45
The stomach can hurt in many ways such as due to excess acid, digestive problems, or infections. Since the pudina Hara and Hygiene tablet did not help, it is good that you are cautious about taking new medicines with one kidney. Colinol tablet may affect your kidneys. It is essential to consult a healthcare professional before taking any new medication due to your unique situation. Health and safety should always be the main priority. Seek an opinion from a nephrologist before trying a new medication.

Yes I have contacted urologist again but he won't help me with the kidney stones 6mm ,what can I do ?
Female | 73
Suffering 6mm pads can be extremely painful and bring medical complaints like very strong back or side pain, hematuria, and wanting to pee often. The leading causes are dehydration and a diet that is excessive in salt. To facilitate the movement of the stones, you should consume plenty of water, limit your intake of salty foods, and take the medications a nephrologist may recommend. If the pain gets intense, you have to go to the hospital ASAP.

Male | 60
A stroke during dialysis can be caused by low blood pressure or the brain not receiving enough oxygen. Symptoms can include, but are not limited to, sudden weakness on one side of the body, slurred speech, and confusion. Place the person on the ground, loosen anything too tight, and call for help.

Hi, I have end-stage kidney failure and I've been doing hemodialysis for 4 years now, and I've been worrying about my fistula or how long it is going to last before I get a tube stuck in my neck as an alternative. Today, the bulge on my arm which I assume is the fistula got moved or at least something got moved slightly causing discomfort and a change of shape of the bulge. Is that a cause for concern? It doesn't have redness or pain in the exact place, but I'm worried sick. Can this be fixed by a surgery? Other questions that have been bothering me. How about if it got ruptured? It started to bulge and reddened. Can it still be fixed? Also, let's say my left arm fistula died and I had to use my right arm. Can I still use my left arm for fistula once it's healed in the future? Thank you for your answers in advance, I'm a teenager who got dealt with a bad hand right from the get-go and I wish to know more about my current situation.
Male | 18
It’s understandable to be concerned about changes in your fistula. If you notice any discomfort, change in shape, or other symptoms like redness, it's important to check it. A vascular surgeon can assess your fistula and determine if any intervention is needed. Even if your current fistula fails, it's possible to create a new one in the same arm after healing. This should be evaluated by your doctor. Please consult your nephrologist or a vascular surgeon for a detailed examination and advice.

I am a 64 year old female who was diagnosed with IGA nephropathy in 1992. I am now Stage 4. My creatinine hovers around 2.38 and my GFR is 23. I do not have protein spillage or blood in my urine. I have lost 124 lbs over the last 12 months with the assistance of Zepbound? Please help me understand what is causing my Creatinine to continue to rise? Could the Zepbound be causing this? I eat 1200 calories a day and stay within my sodium and potassium goals. I run 3 miles a day. But my kidneys are continuing to worsen. Please help me understand what else I can do. What is causing my creatinine to continue to rise? Should I get another kidney biopsy since my last biopsy was 32 years ago? Thank you so much for your help.
Female | 64
Considering your circumstance with IGA nephropathy, it is usual that creatinine levels may increase as kidney functions get worse. Also, rapid weight loss may affect kidney function. It is good that you are committed to eating right and exercising, but running 3 miles every day could strain your kidneys more. You should talk about these worries with a nephrologist. A further kidney biopsy might be able to tell what is happening to your kidneys now.

This is Salam Aziz from Iraq male with 58 years old.my CT scan report shows my left kidney normal BUT there are two well define non enhancing cysts one lower cortical measure 11 mm @ the other larger exophytic measure 75 x 55 mm ( Bosniak I) . The doctors here told me i have two options either remove it or only remove the tumor and leave the rest.I am with the second option if possible ? I am ready to fly to india. please dont hesitate to ask any question. Best Regards Salam Aziz saal6370@gmail.com +964 770 173 8677
Male | 58
your CT scan report reveals two cysts in the left kidney and one is a larger exophytic cyst classified as Bosniak I it can be explained why less invasive alternatives options are to consider. The second alternative that you described, namely the excision of a tumor (presumably a large cyst) alone while sparing other parts of the kidney. The ultimate decision should be discussed with your urologist or surgeon.

My mother has kidney cyst problem what should we do?
Female | 60
Kidney cysts are comparable to tiny fluid-filled balloons that develop on the kidneys. They are widespread, notably as we grow old. Individuals with kidney cysts display no symptoms and require no treatment. However, if the cysts are painful, infectious, or result in hypertension, your mother needs an experienced nephrologist. In cases where the cysts are problematic, a physician may propose them to be drained off sometimes even surgery might be necessary depending on certain conditions.

Female | 24
You could have felt the kidney stones along with a burning/ painful situation during pee. For the larger part, kidneys produce such types of stones that are made up of water, calcium oxalate, and uric acid. Water is the best and first food to flush out these stones, so you should drink a lot of it. If the pain won't go away, visit a nephrologist and go through the advised treatments, if any.

Can I take creatine if I have kidney stone?
Male | 23
Having a kidney stone might mean creatine isn't safe. Kidney stones can cause your back or side - and sometimes your belly - to hurt. They're normally a group of minerals or salts stuck together in the kidneys. By taking creatine, you could potentially make kidney stones more painful because it adds stress to your kidneys. Get advice from a nephrologist before starting creatine if you have kidney stones.

Kidney stone Left right both
Male | 22
Kidney stones might develop on one side of the body or both. They are similar to small stones that grow in a person's kidney. Signs include urine containing blood, having a problem urinating, and pain in the back or side. Causes may result from not drinking enough water and eating too much salt. To cure this condition, one may need to take a lot of fluid or use particular drugs; in some cases, an operation might be necessary to remove the stones.

11 days ago I transplant kidney but urine follows very slow. Kidney are ok but kidney under one Mali light damage this is recovery possible
Male | 53
Slow urine flow often follows kidney transplants. The surgery or swelling may slightly harm and constrict the flow. Consume lots of fluids, which aids in smooth drainage. Usually, this issue resolves naturally during recovery. However, if the problem persists, visit a nephrologist.

Male | 34
The left side and lower back pain you are feeling could be linked to infections. Occasionally, these infections develop resistance and need more care. It's essential to drink a sufficient amount of fluids and rest, as well as keep seeing your nephrologist to ensure everything is fine and to determine if a change of treatment is needed.

I was having stomach ache, that's why I found kidney stones on ultrasound, what should I do to remove it?
Male | 58
For kidney stones, drink plenty of water daily as it can help small stones pass naturally. Avoid high-salt and high-oxalate foods, like spinach and nuts, which may make stones worse. Please consult a urologist for proper treatment options based on the stone's size and location.

Is nic showing on a bloodtest
Female | 17
When getting a blood test, it may show if someone has too much 'NIC' in their system. This happens when people eat too many things with salt or if their kidneys are not working well. If you feel thirsty and tired all the time, or if your feet and legs swell up - those could be signs that something is wrong because of too much 'NIC'.

Hello sir/mam, i have pain over left side abdomen from last 3 days, severe in morning and subsides as the day passes, fever, no burning sensation. Xray KUB is normal, Usg shows small renal cortical cyst and tiny calcific foci, features suggestive of pyelonephritis. Dr. gave me IV ceftriaxone for 10 days. Pain is still there after 2 days of treatment. What should i do for the cortical cyst ?
Male | 25
You have been experiencing pain in your left abdomen and have undergone treatment for pyelonephritis. An imaging scan showed that a small renal cyst slightly off the cortex in the kidney is the possible cause of some of your symptoms. Briefly, such cysts are usually benign and do not require treatment unless they grow or cause symptoms. In your situation, please continue to receive the necessary treatment for the infection, and they will also check the cyst to be sure it is not causing any inconvenience.
