Is darkening body hair normal for a female?
I am a 19 year old female. Within the past 6-10 months I’ve noticed my body hair getting darker, (not thicker,) in certain areas. I was wondering if this was normal and, if so what is the cause(s)? I do not think i have pcos, but I’m not sure if i should be concerned. Thank you!

The darkening of body hair in certain parts due to hormonal fluctuations does not mean something is wrong. This can be due to genetic and hormonal factors as well as environmental and behavioral aspects. Nevertheless, if along with dark hair you also have other symptoms like not having periods over long periods or having excessive hair growth, it is helpful to seek assistance from a dermatologist and do some tests for any irregularities.

Diabetes may be making an infection or condition worse. Here's what to do: keep the area clean. Put some antibacterial cream on. Cover with a bandage too. But most importantly, go see a dermatologist soon. They'll check it and give the right treatment.

Sir i have hair fall problem can i do Keratin
Female | 33
Yes, you can undergo a Keratin hair treatment to help reduce hair fall. Keratin treatments are designed to help strengthen and nourish the hair and reduce breakage. However, it is important to keep in mind that Keratin treatments should not be used as a primary treatment for hair loss. You should speak to your doctor to determine the underlying cause of your hair loss and the best treatment options for you.

How to clear knife scars from hand
Female | 20
Scars from knife wounds can appear as stubborn lines etched on your hand. These marks result when a blade pierces through skin. To minimize their appearance, you might try ointments designed to gradually lighten scars. Additionally, bandaging protects the area as healing progresses. It requires patience, as improving scar visibility takes time. Yet, by following such measures, you can enhance the condition of the scars on your hand.

I applied undiluted dettol on my face [acne region (cheek and forehead) as it was bleeding] and forgot to wash it off. This later burnt my skin and now two months later theres a brownish patch which I am unable to get rid of regardless of how many scars removal cream and depigmenting creams I have used. Please help me recognise the problem with a solution for the same. Thank you.
Female | 16
Undiluted Dettol is said to cause burns and dark patches on the skin, especially the sensitive area of the face. The brownish skin spot that you have may be the result of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. To discolor the patch, avoid sun exposure by applying sunscreen, and think about visiting a dermatologist for chemical peels or laser therapy treatment.

I have some issues with my mouth. Suddenly small bumps inside my mouth appears
Female | 19
You may have little bumps in your mouth. They might be canker sores, common issues that often heal themselves. Eating and speaking could feel uncomfortable due to the bumps. Reasons could include stress, injury, or certain foods you've eaten. Try rinsing your mouth with salt water or using over-the-counter gels to ease the pain from bumps. Avoid spicy, acidic foods that can irritate them further.

I have feeling pain since last few days beside of a lump under the skin of middle of my chest. It shows reddish beside the lump and pain comes from there.

The symptoms you have pointed out give a strong possibility that the lump around the neck is caused by either an inflammation or an infection. You should consult a dermatologist to conduct a differential diagnosis and recommend the most suitable treatment for that lump.

I am an 18 year old female who just moved to college. A few days ago one of my breasts got a red rash around the nipple area and a lump after. Now ot does not hurt and there is no rash but the lump is still there. Now this is happening to my other. What’s the chance this will go away by itself
Female | 18
The problem you might have is a type of eczema, which leads to red rashes and bumps on the nipples. Eczema can be brought on by skin irritation or allergic reactions to things. The good news is that asthma often gets better without treatment by avoiding things like soaps or perfumes that are too strong. Another way is to keep your skin hydrated. If it doesn't improve, it's best to have it looked at by a dermatologist.

Sir I don't sit too long in the toilet and I never wear shoes tight dresses still I am suffering from tiny red spots on my arch of the foot few on my hand legs and also it's itching a lot
Female | 23
Usually, they’re a sign of a common skin condition called eczema. Itchy red spots on the skin are the most common symptoms. Clothing that is too tight and sitting for long periods can make it worse. Ways to help include wearing loose clothing, keeping your skin moisturized, and not scratching it. If the itchiness doesn’t improve, it’s a good idea to talk to a dermatologist.

Female | 33
You may have a condition called eczema. Eczema can cause red, itchy patches with small water-filled blisters, especially on the hands. Switching to a new living environment can sometimes lead to skin reactions. Use a mild moisturizer, avoid harsh soaps, and wear gloves for hand protection. If the rash does not improve, it is important to consult a dermatologist for further assistance.

Hi I am a 16 year old male. I have had these 2 bumps on my foreskin I’m just wondering if it is penile cancer. They are whiteish. It doesn’t cause pain or bleeding or anything until a few days ago when I tried to one of them.
Male | 16
Those bumps on your foreskin might be Fordyce spots, not cancer. Fordyce spots are small, whitish-yellow bumps that sometimes show up on genitals. They're harmless, common, and usually painless. You shouldn't pick or pop them. If you're worried, talk to a dermatologist to get checked out. But chances are, it's nothing serious.

Your skin condition seems worrisome. The medication might not work or you may react adversely. Ulcers and blisters indicate allergy or severe skin issues. Stop using ointment and tablets right now. Consult a dermatologist urgently for proper treatment.

My baby approx 2 yr old, suffered from intense itching since 3 month and rashes, what can I do?
Female | 2
The rashes in the baby who is 2 yrs old which are intensely itchy may be due to atopic dermatitis i.e. dry irritated red skin over multiple areas of the body like face, over the folds of the elbow, knees ,the back of the elbows or knees and even on the abdomen. This is common and recurrent and more prominent in winters than in summers. The mainstay treatment for atopic dermatitis are moisturizers or topical steroids. For proper evaluation dermatologist is the right person to contact.
