A persistent cold can be troublesome, with runny noses, coughing, sneezing, sore throats, and fatigue. Viruses spread these common illnesses between people. Rest, hydrate, and consider over-the-counter remedies for relief. Gargling warm saltwater soothes sore throats. Seek medical attention if symptoms worsen or persist beyond a week.

My mother has sarcoidosis fibrotic ILD patient.last night her oxygen saturation 87 to 90. But physically she is normal .plz suggest what should i do.

Female | 66

The scarred and stiff lung tissue in sarcoidosis fibrotic ILD makes it hard for air to get in.  If her oxygen level drops below normal, she does not have enough oxygen in her body. It can be really bad. Even if she seems fine, low oxygen can hurt her. Assure that her doctor’s instructions for using oxygen are strictly followed. In case there is no improvement, call for emergency medical services immediately.

I am a 47 year old male i had post thyroidectomy and recently got a CT scan and it shows subcentrimetric nodules scattered in the lungs so what does that mean

Male | 47

Following your thyroid surgery and the CT scan, some small nodules were spotted in your lungs. These are very common little growths that hardly ever have any symptoms attached to them. They could have been caused by many things such as infections or past illnesses. In most cases, no action needs to be taken concerning these growths but you need to keep visiting a doctor to check up on them frequently. If you start feeling unusual in any way like continuous coughing or struggling to breathe, please inform your physician immediately.

can asthma inhalers cause cancer?

Male | 46

No, asthma inhalers are not known to cause cancer. In fact, asthma inhalers are a vital part of managing asthma symptoms and reducing the risk of asthma attacks. However, excessive use of certain types of inhalers may cause some side effects, such as oral thrush or hoarseness. It is important to use inhalers as prescribed by a doctor and to discuss any concerns with them.

If you have exceeded the dose of Symbicort, follow these steps: 1. Stay calm and try not to panic. 2. Don't take any more doses of Symbicort. 3. Call your doctor or seek medical attention immediately. 4. Watch for any side effects, such as increased HEART rate or TREMORS. 5. Be honest with your heart doctor about what happened. 6. Your doctor may recommend further treatment or monitoring. Exceeding the recommended dose of Symbicort can lead to serious side effects.. I want to know about the TB

Female | 55

TB, a common shorthand term for tuberculosis, is a life-threatening disease caused by bacteria that mainly affect the lungs. Humans with TB might experience, amongst others, the following peculiar signs: prolonged cough, chest pain, losing weight, and fatigue. The transmission occurs when a TB patient coughs or sneezes with a built-in airway and thus spreads the bacteria from person to person.

Hi, I have put aquaphor in my nose for 2 years every night. I have recently stopped but wanted to know if I have it in my lungs i am really worried about it.

Female | 17

Aquaphor should not be your only treatment for nose dryness as it is not intended for long-term use. If you had it in your lungs, you could have a cough, shortness of breath, or pain in your chest. If you notice any of these symptoms, it is wise to visit a pulmonologist. They will be able to check your lungs and give you the correct treatment.

Hi I have asthma and i have been quite breathless tonight could you help please

Female | 29

Asthma inflames and narrows airways, making breathing difficult. Use your inhaler as directed. Sit straight and breathe slowly, deeply. If still struggling, seek medical help or go to the ER. Control asthma with regular check-ups and medications.

This question is about my mother, 60 years old, with influenza type A that unfortunately led to viral pneumonia. She's hospitalized for the past 4 days, her flu seems to be subsiding, but the pneumonia is not. I am worried and I just wanted to know if she's gonna be alright doctor.

Female | 60

Viral pneumonia takes longer to get better compared to the flu. I’m glad that she is recovering from the flu. Symptoms of pneumonia include difficulty breathing, productive cough, and chest pain. To cure the infection, antibiotics will be administered among other drugs. She needs to have enough rest and time too. Therefore, follow the doctors’ instructions and be patient with her.

I have played national matches in boxing and wrestling. I had severe chest pain in May. If I show in the hospital, in the x-ray, it will show water in the chest, after fluid tapping, Tb will be found in that water, I was under a lot of mental stress. Because I have to take care of my house. I have been taking the medicine given by the doctor since one month, I have started boxing and wrestling training, I am feeling a little better but I am not feeling any strength in my body, can I take creatine to get strength? Please help me a little

Male | 26

Pneumothorax (TB) might be the water inside your chest. This is due to the fact that the immune system, when it is weak, can bring on the symptoms such as chest pain and tiredness. While taking medications as prescribed should be your priority, do not take creatine without your doctor’s approval because it may worsen your condition. However, for now, make sure you are resting enough, eating properly, and gradually getting back into your regular training routine.

Male | 45

People who have such issues must turn to a pulmonologist for precise diagnosis and treatment. If such symptoms are neglected, they can result in additional complications and delay of the treatment
