Am I immune to mumps and rubella after measles vaccination?

I am from South Africa and was vaccinated against measles, does that mean I am vaccinated for mumps and rubella?

Answered on 13th June '24

If you have been vaccinated against measles it doesn't necessarily mean that you are covered against mumps and rubella. Each of measles, mumps, and rubella is a different disease. They each have their vaccine that is necessary for protection. Mumps may make you have swollen glands while rubella can cause a rash and fever. To be entirely safe, make sure that the mumps and rubella vaccinations are received.
