An increase in the measurement of the lateral ventricles in fetal ultrasound, especially if it's a mild increase, may not necessarily indicate a severe issue. It's important to remember that ultrasound measurements can sometimes have a margin of error. Please consult a gynecologist in your locality for proper diagnosis.

Sooo basically, I had unprotected sex 6 days before my period, I was not ovulating, I took a plan b immediately after once I got home that same day, I also drunk some mugwort tea which someone told me it works and some vitamin c, what is the percentage of me getting pregnant, I’m also 185 pounds and some people say that a plan b works less
Female | 17
The consumption of Plan B right away is one of the most effective ways of preventing the development of pregnancy, particularly in case ovulation has not occurred yet. Obesity might be the determinant in the reduction of the efficiency of these types of contraceptives but the number of potential factors is unfathomable. The outcomes of the onset of pregnancy can include such symptoms as missed periods, nausea, and tiredness of the whole body. If you have doubts, or your period has not been at its usual timing, a pregnancy test might be an option for you. Besides, it is always best to get advice and assurance from a gynecologist.

I have my perioda issue .. i get it twice in a month .. i had diagonisse with pcos before
Female | 24
This is mostly because of PCOS. The classic signs range from irregular periods which indicate the cycle going more often than usual to other symptoms such as acne and weight gain. PCOS happens when a woman's hormones are imbalanced. It's important to talk to a gynecologist who can help you manage this problem.

I have recently had unprotected sex thrice. I also consumed ipill all those times the next morning itself. The last time I had unprotected sex was on 15th May and ipill on 16th may morning. Past 2-3 days I have been getting very bad cramps in my lower abdomen and I'm bleeding (spotting) blood clots. I have PCOD and I do not get my periods. I get it very rarely, twice or thrice in a year. I don't remember my last period date. Are these the side effects of the ipill or are there any chances of pregnancy/miscarriage?
Female | 23
The cramps and bleeding with blood clots might be caused by the ipill. It can change menstrual bleeding at times. However, because your periods are irregular and you have polycystic ovarian syndrome, other possible reasons should not be left out. These signs could also result from hormonal variations or maybe pregnancy is on the way. See a gynecologist who will help find out what these mean.

Thank you Doctor , I visited as per your advice . Now it's diagnosed that I have low lying placenta( placenta previa)reaching the os- CRL approx 5.25cm. Is this good or bad ? ( my gynaecologist didn't explain me that well, I tried searching in youtube/ google but almost all were unsatisfactory ). ( by the way I'm 39 years, this is my third pregnancy ,previous deliveries were cesarean. I got pregnant this time with iud due to that I was slightly bleeding for 18 days with mild abdominal pain with small blood clot ,luckily the iud was removed)
Female | 39
Having a placenta positioned low, close to the cervix, with a CRL of 5.25cm, presents potential risks like bleeding. Considering your third pregnancy and previous cesarean deliveries, close monitoring by your gynecologist is crucial. Avoid strenuous activities or heavy lifting. In severe cases, bed rest may be recommended by your doctor.

Female | 21
periods can be delayed for some other reasons like stress, weight changes, or hormonal imbalances. I would advise you to visit a gynecologist to rule out any underlying medical conditions that may be causing the delay.

Iam a 35 year old female with pid I was administered with medication but symptoms are getting worse does a woman with pid likely have Hiv
Female | 35
Like HIV, PID has symptoms such as pain, fever, and discharge. Does one mean there is also the presence of the other? The answer is no. Normally, PID is caused by bacteria and it can easily be cured with antibiotics. However, if you still think you might have gotten infected after all these explanations then don’t hesitate to go for an HIV test to be sure.

I am a pregnant woman with 6 months,i have went for consultations and started the medication from 5th month starting, there is no risk found by the doctors, does it mean I will get a normal delivery or is it mandatory to have the reports of first four month
Female | 22
It is entirely possible to have a natural childbirth experience even in the absence of early prenatal reports from the initial four-month period. The diagnostic assessments conducted at a later stage can frequently provide crucial insights. Maintain adherence to the guidance provided by your healthcare provider. Continue taking prescribed medications as instructed.

I have a greenish discharge on one nipple since December. It was previously diagnosed as hormonal imbalance and I was given hormonal pills. 3 months later I was given antibiotics but it is still here. I am not done with my antibiotics though
Female | 26
A green discharge can be caused due to infections, injuries, or more concerning issues like breast growth or cancer. Consult a gynecologist for proper diagnosis and treatment. Do not stop medications without medical advice.

Could I be pregnant? Missed period and lots of unknown symptoms but home tests are negative.
Female | 24
Periods can unexpectedly stop, and pregnancy tests may be negative, but questions still linger. Many factors could be the cause: stress, hormonal imbalances, or weight fluctuations. Symptoms like fatigue, nausea, or tender breasts can also result from various conditions, not just pregnancy. To get clarity, it's important to visit a gynecologist and undergo appropriate tests.

Gòod day i am 11 weeks pregnant and do not have all of the pains i had for the 10 weeks is it normal?
Female | 29
It’s normal to have different symptoms come and go during pregnancy. You may not have as many aches and pains as before, which is typical. Your body might be getting used to all the changes inside it. Most of the time though, unless they’re accompanied by severe cramps or bleeding, feeling no pain is fine. Keep yourself hydrated and rested all these months. But if it bothers you, then talk to a gynecologist.

I was a virgin until May 5, 2024. My partner and i tried to have sex, but in his words, he never came at the same time he did not have precum. He also said that he did not put it in all the way. (Before i continue, a little back story, i have this 21 hormonal pill pack. I know we have the 21 and the 28 pack. I have the 21. I use this pack to regulate my period since i have PCOS also prescribed by my doctor. Though for the past few months feb-may i should be off my pills to see if my period regulated again ordered by my doctor. I had no period on feb and march but did on april.) After 2 hrs of unprotected sex, i took 1 pill from the 21 pill pack that i have. Then 4 days later i took 5 pills for 5 consecutive days. Then stopped after the 5 days. (Back story: in the 21 pill pack, you have a 7 day break to wait to get your period. Sometimes it comes within the 7 days. Sometimes it comes after the 7 days. After the 7 day break you have to restart and take a pill and continue for 20 more days as said in the instructions. With period or not). So the 5 days were May 10,11,12,13,14. On May 22 i got my period. When i checked the calendar i realized there was a 7 day break in between before i got my period. My period started on May 22 and ended on May 26. And i know it was my period because, it looked like my period everytime i get it. Dark red blood, blood clots, lasted 3-5 days, abdominal cramps with matching lower back pain, bleeding through my pad. Smelled like my period everytime i get it. Questions: 1. Is there a possibility for pregnancy? 2. Did i mess up my hormones? 3. Did i mess up my PCOS? 4. How is it possible that i took 5 pills from a 21 pill pack had the 7 day break and had my period?
Female | 24
There isn’t much of a chance that you’re pregnant. Your partner didn’t ejaculate, and there wasn’t any pre-cum. Also, your period came on time. If you take extra pills or have breaks in your pack, it can sometimes affect your hormones. However, only making this kind of short-term change may not result in long-term problems. Getting your period after taking 5 pills and then going off them could have caused some hormonal changes but if eventually things evened out when it came back.

Pregnant women pan 6 day
Female | 22
Pregnant women should avoid taking PAN 6 (pantoprazole) daily without consulting a doctor. While it is sometimes prescribed for acid-related issues, only a gynecologist or obstetrician can guide whether it's safe during pregnancy.

I m 26 year old female. I m breastfeeding mother.... I have lot of pain in nipples during feeding and also pain after bath..what should I do ?
Female | 26
Yes, breastfeeding moms often experience breast pain. Discomfort during and after feeding and after a bath could be caused by thrush of the nipples or an incorrect latch while feeding. A cracked nipple could also be present. To ease the pain, make sure your baby is properly attached to the breast, keep your nipples dry and clean, and use a safe nipple cream. In case the pain does not go away, it is always better to consult a gynecologist for proper guidance.

Female | 17
Don’t worry if your period is late; this may happen due to various reasons. For instance, stress, changes in routine, or hormonal fluctuations are capable of causing delays. If you took several negative pregnancy tests, then it is unlikely that you are pregnant. In case you have some symptoms like abnormal pains during menstruation or heavy bleeding please take note of them and if need be see a gynecologist for more advice tailored to your situation.

Hi my name is Patricia,im 40 years of age i just want to know i had my periods just for 2 days and im getting nauseous and dizziness,i did 3 pregnancy test it show very light second line but clinic show negative can i be pregnant
Female | 40
It's possible that you may be pregnant, but you shoulld confirm with a doctor. Sometimes a very faint line on a home pregnancy test can indicate early pregnancy, but it's best to have a medical professional confirm the results with a blood test or a more sensitive pregnancy test. Additionally, there can be other reasons why you're experiencing nausea and dizziness, so discuss your symptoms with your doctor.
