Could PID indicate HIV?
Iam a 35 year old female with pid I was administered with medication but symptoms are getting worse does a woman with pid likely have Hiv
Gynecologist
Answered on 13th June '24
Like HIV, PID has symptoms such as pain, fever, and discharge. Does one mean there is also the presence of the other? The answer is no. Normally, PID is caused by bacteria and it can easily be cured with antibiotics. However, if you still think you might have gotten infected after all these explanations then don’t hesitate to go for an HIV test to be sure.

Every time I got my periods before the date. But this is my time in life I missed my periods.
Female | 21
It's completely normal for your periods to change occasionally. If your period is late, there may be many reasons for it such as stress, sudden weight change, or hormonal imbalance. If besides missing it you also experience nausea, breast tenderness, and fatigue - take a pregnancy test. If you are worried, visit a gynecologist who can give you more information.

Female | 29
You could be suffering from atypical vaginal bleeding. Spotting in between periods can arise for many reasons. Hormonal imbalances, stress, or even Trym's pills can cause this to happen. Fatigue can be a symptom of many other conditions such as anemia or thyroid issues. Monitor your symptoms and see a gynecologist for a correct examination.

I'm a 32 year old woman who had an IUI a week ago. Today is 7 days post IUI, and I'm curious about what to expect. Can you share some info on what might be happening or any symptoms I should be aware of at this stage?
Female | 32
It is normal to feel slight cramping or spotting and light bleeding in the first week following IUI. Nevertheless, each woman’s body is unique and it would be best to seek an individual recommendation from your gynecologist or fertility specialist. They will show you the correct way to go and answer any questions or concerns that may arise.

Make out with bf and now scared that I might be pregnant but there was no ejaculation or penitration as guy confirmed that not as such happened and now I'm very stressed as I have pcod and my periods come one week early as last was on 30th and end by 6th October and makeout on 21st October. What are the precautions now to be taken for not having single change of getting pregnant
Female | 28
The probability of pregnancy would stay quite low if there was no ejaculation or penetration. Your PCOD (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) could be the reason why the cycle was irregular, and that is maybe why the period came early. See if there are any weird symptoms but most likely you are not pregnant. If you're truly concerned, testing for pregnancy and calming your mind by doing the test will be a good idea.

Monthly Menstrual cycle of my wife is complete once and bleeding starts again after 3 days... I am worried about her condition now... Suggest me what to do
Female | 36
Women can sometimes have irregular cycles, however, if your wife finishes the cycle after just three days of having her period, it could be a sign of underlying medical conditions such as hormonal imbalances, uterine fibroid, and infection. I recommend you visit a gynecologist first to undergo a thorough investigation and the provision of the relevant treatment.

Female | 19
It seems like you are facing heavy bleeding during your period. This may occur for myriad reasons like hormonal imbalances, thyroid problems, or polycystic ovary syndrome. Your gynecologist will have prescribed the tablets that would help you to cope with your cycle, but if they are not effective, it is crucial to keep up with them. They might recommend more testing or changing the existing treatment plan to correct the core problem if there is one.

Female | 24
Sometimes you can miss your period for a couple of days. Stress, weight changes, and hormone problems cause this. Besides being irregular, you may cramp and feel moody. Managing stress helps regulate periods. Eating right and living healthy can too. If you're worried though, talk to a gynecologist.

Last month im a pregnant and i use unwanted kit pregnancy remove and this month periods missing i check pregnancy test its negitave but periods not came
Female | 18
I urge that any medication to terminate pregnancy should never be used without consulting a doctor. The misuse of the kit can cause discomfort and should be used only as prescribed. Missing periods after use of the kit could be a sign of some other problem. A gynecologist recommended for a full examination and clear advice on what to do next.

Young girls sometimes get unpredictable periods. This is regular when beginning monthly cycles. Shifting hormones cause these changes. To help make your periods normal, eat balanced foods, exercise frequently, and reduce stress. If unpredictable cycles continue, talk to a gynecologist.

Hi, I have undergone abortion in Feb 2024, after that in 6 months my average menstrual cycle is 33 days, now it has been 50 days since I got period, pregnancy test is negative and I observed 2 blood clots in the past 2 days! Was it period?
Female | 23
Hormone fluctuations or not expelling all the tissue from the abortion could be the reason for longer cycles and blood clots. Stress, changes in weight, and even thyroid complications can be responsible for irregular periods. Eat a balanced diet, exercise regularly, and be sure to manage stress levels. If the problem persists, see a gynecologist to find out if you have any other disease.

Female | 20
Skipped menstruation along with unusual length between the cycles and an overall shift in the menstrual pattern are some of the issues that she might be dealing with. It can be because of various circumstances such as stress, fluctuating weight, or hormonal problems. It is advisable for her to consult a gynecologist to check the existence of any underlying conditions and receive the required advice.

My period are missed and discharge is coming so much
Female | 14
Excessive discharge and non-existent periods might have several causes. Some examples are hormonal imbalances, stress, certain medications, or underlying health conditions. You must also be observant of other signs such as pain in the abdomen or alterations in your appetite, in addition to those problems. Drinking water, eating properly, and stress control through relaxation can sometimes boost your cycle's regularity. In case the symptoms continue and become more severe, visit a gynecologist.

i got + pregnancy test today periods r 15 days late but last night i was in party nd did drink
Female | 35
The period can be delayed now and then. Alcohol consumption can slow down the body's cyclic process, thus menstruation may be late. Some pregnancy indicators include the lack of a period, increased fatigue, and the experience of morning sickness. If you're in doubt about being pregnant, take a pregnancy test. If you get a positive test result, it's vital to consult a gynecologist for further advice and treatment.

Female | 25
You may have noted some abnormal bleeding after taking the unwanted kit. Often, these medications can cause the menstrual cycle to become irregular and even lead to changes in the bleeding pattern. The dark lines on the pregnancy test could indicate hormonal alterations as well. Since you've already experienced some bleeding, it's good to monitor your symptoms and visit a gynecologist for proper evaluation and guidance. Always taking a pregnancy test one more time might be beneficial to monitor any developments.

I am 19 years female and have a vaginal gas,I need help it's very painful
Female | 19
If you're experiencing vaginal gas, don't worry. It may feel uncomfortable, with pressure or pain in your lower abdomen or back, but it's generally not a serious issue. This can happen when air gets trapped, often due to things like sexual activity, certain foods, or even normal body functions. To help relieve the discomfort, try pelvic floor stretches and avoid foods that may worsen the condition, such as carbonated drinks. If the pain persists or becomes more severe, it's a good idea to consult a gynecologist for personalized advice.
