68 yrs old woman suffering continuous allergy for 3 months after eating shrimp

Female | 68

While shrimp can cause allergy, a very long-lasting allergy from shrimp alone is not a common condition. It's important to consider other dimensions such as the possibility of underlying medical conditions or dietary triggers. It is advisable to visit a medical specialist, since the healthcare professional should do a proper examination and manage your health.

I was prescribed lamictal a mood stablizer two weeks ago. My doctor just increased my dosage to 50mg from 25mg. I went to the doctor Wednesday for an ear infection and my blood pressure was high : 150/90. I have been checking it ever since and It has been the same. I checked it today and it was 160/100. I have never had high blood pressure, and its always been 120/80 or lower. I am pretty sure this medication is causing my blood pressure to be high because it wont go down. I cant talk to my doctor till next Wednesday thats when shes in the office. I cant stop taking the medication because its an anti-seizure medication and if i stop cold turkey I may have a seizure, but I dont want to keep taking it because its making my blood pressure dangerously high and idk

Female | 23

It could be that the boost in the dosage of the stabilizer, Lamictal, is causing your hypertension. It is vital you tell your doctor when you noticed the change in your blood pressure readings. Please do not alter your medication without consulting the doctor. In the meantime, it is crucial to keep an eye on your blood pressure by doing regular monitoring and looking for medical help if it remains high. You may contact a specialist for advanced evaluation and management.

I experience body reaction when ever I stay for long without eating,,my body start reacting while swelling with itching condition. It happens for some minutes and disappear immidiately after taking some rest,,i consulted many doctors and they tells me it is allergic reaction but this sickness is worsening,,what can I do?

Male | 35

You might have exercise-induced urticaria. With this, your body gets deprived of food. It reacts by making skin itch and swell. The body releases histamine, a substance causing allergic reactions. Your case relates to lack of food. Manage it by eating small, frequent meals. This keeps blood sugar stable. It may prevent reactions. If issue continues, see a doctor. They'll further evaluate and guide you.
