Can Shrimp Consumption Cause 3 Months of Continuous Allergy in a 68 Year Old Woman?

68 yrs old woman suffering continuous allergy for 3 months after eating shrimp

Answered on 23rd May '24

While shrimp can cause allergy, a very long-lasting allergy from shrimp alone is not a common condition. It's important to consider other dimensions such as the possibility of underlying medical conditions or dietary triggers. It is advisable to visit a medical specialist, since the healthcare professional should do a proper examination and manage your health.

Ive been feeling really tired and I've been experiencing fatigue and headaches and dizziness my vagina is also really sore and I don't know what's going on.

Female | 23

When a person suffers for more than a week with persistent fatigue and drowsiness, it may be because of numerous medical problems, like anemia, disorders of the thyroid, depression, or sleep apnea. So, you should choose to see a general practitioner or a family doctor who can have your overall exam done and just talk about your symptoms.

Will bupemorphine show up in blood work for my new employer and there insurance, or does it have to be a specific blood test for that

Male | 28

Yes, buprenorphine can be found in blood tests. But it depends on the type of test your employer will be conducting with you. You have to inform your employer about the medications you may be taking. When it comes to questions concerning the nature of the test, it is advisable to reach out to a medical practitioner for clarifications, a psychiatrist or an addiction specialist being the best.

Consuming 10 Amlokind tablets at once is extremely concerning. You might experience worrisome symptoms like dangerously low blood pressure, dizziness, and a sluggish heart rate. This reaction could occur due to the medication excessively dilating blood vessels. Promptly contacting a poison control center or emergency services is vital.

Hi I've been experiencing severe insomnia for some days now and everytime I go to sleep I just lie there. When its during the day I think about going to sleep that when I eventually go to sleep I don't sleep at all. I don't have access to a psychatrist and I've just bought sleeping meds to take today- please help

Female | 29

I cannot recommend any medications online.. however, there are some self help techniques you can try. Find a consistent sleep schedule, create a sleep friendly environment, practice relaxation techniques, limit screen time before bed and establish a bedtime routine.  Self medication is not recommended so it's best to seek professional medical advice.

I am a 25 year old male and I have headache, sore throat, body pain and fever since yesterday. I have taken azinthromyacin antibiotics. But nothing yet. What could be the problem?

Male | 25

Based on what you have told me like a headache, a sore throat, muscle aches, and a fever it sounds like you might have flu, a viral infection. Antibiotics such as azithromycin won’t help because antibiotics kill bacteria not viruses; therefore they will do nothing for you if this is influenza. The only things to do for now are rest in bed all day with clear liquids (water) to drink while taking painkillers such as aspirin so that one can sleep comfortably through these unpleasant symptoms but should any of them become severe or last more than a week then please seek medical attention as soon as possible.

Male | 20

Sometimes when people mix things up like this, it can have surprising effects on them. It could alter how those drugs work on you. Maybe that’s why you haven’t been responding to treatment as expected. The best way forward would be to communicate these things with your doctor openly for an optimal solution.

Hello Can you advise me what to do with my test results and interpret them Low iron serum 22 Low folic acid 1.95 Low serum creatinine 0.56 High non hdl 184 High ldl 167

Female | 44

Your iron level in your blood is deficient, possibly causing tiredness and lack of strength. The folic acid measurement is also low, potentially resulting in fatigue and weakened immunity. Additionally, heightened non-HDL and LDL readings could raise the risk of cardiovascular issues. To address this situation, try incorporating more iron-packed and folic acid-rich foods into your diet.
